  • Bad news Bill; just because Chris Dodd has (D) next to his name, doesn't mean he's not part of the government-industrial complex. Dodd is not going to give you any opinion that threatens his bottom line.

  • I'll say this so everyone here's it in regard to this video. Upper case here goes. THANK YOU BILL MAHER FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH AND FOR DEFENDING THE ONLY MAN WORTHY OF AMERICA'S VOTE -- RON PAUL!!!

  • I'm guessing Dodd's response was about national security, them producing nuclear weapons, etc. Although it can be argued that North Korea is in that same category.

  • Although, I wanted to hear Dodd's response to Bill at the end there. I'm sure it was a garbage-like all political half-truth, nothing of substance response, anyway.

  • @ThePelicans44 amen lol

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"well luckily we are on our way out of afghanistan and iraq so we don't have to deal with that bullcrap any more"

    .

I'm sorry, I can't debate with you anymore, your ignorance is making me sad.

    .

If you're legit and you really want an intellectual conversation, feel free to send me a message explaining your reasoning.

    .

Also, please, use sources. With just a bit of research, I think you'll discover very quickly that most of what you're saying is blatantly false.

  • @schulwitz good job google professor. way to copy and paste

  • @skepticalmannn . "(almost) all of what you advocate is based entirely in theory" . "it's all just theory" is code for "I'm too lazy to pick up a book, read it, understand it, and refute it." . Please prove me wrong. Here are some books, lots of facts, excellent reasoning, never been refuted: Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing the War on Terror Human Action: A Treatise on Economics Power and Market: Government and the Economy
  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"it's most likely because that 6 year old was a soldier for some terrorist group."

    .

    LOL, you are priceless.

    .

I don't know how to break this to you. Hmm... have you ever heard that expression "if you wanna make an omelet, you gotta crack a few eggs?"

    .

Well, from a U.S. Government UAV drone striker, that Pakistani 6 year old is just another egg.

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"i hope you realize that ron paul was against impeaching george w. bush"

    .

Untrue. Paul's form of intellectualism prevents him from publicly condemning individuals. In essence, he doesn't attack the man, he attacks the man's ideas.

    .

"you can't compare the type of torture that the nazis engaged in to the ones the jews experienced"

    .

    Wouldn't that be silly.

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"but the US is the best military at making sure we don't hurt civilians"

    .

You're naivety is kinda cute. Let's compare the US to Switzerland shall we?

    .

See: [Gulf of Tonkin False Flag], [Operation Northwoods], [US Military murders Reuters Journalists], [Civilian deaths in Pakistan/Libya/Afghanistan/Iraq]

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"but any comparison to nazi germany is bizarre"

    .

Hmm, I must be forgetting my history. I know that the US government tortures.

    .

So therefore, if we apply your stated truism logically and consistently, we can conclude that Hitler was against torture.

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"to think that the government can ONLY do bad and that corporations can ONLY do good"

    .

False dichotomy. By definition, a corporation is a creation of government.

    .

"there are legitimate arguments in favor of the state"

    .

Name me the one that justifies killing 6 year olds.

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"that is intellectually dishonest to call it murder."

    .

Ask the parents of five year olds killed in UAV strikes if it was murder.

    .

Or, trying putting on that "intellectual honesty" hat and tell me why your government has the right to blow 8-year-olds to smithereens.

  • "most economists say we could use a little inflation."

    .

And you agree with them? Do you understand how inflation works?

    .

When inflation happens, what do you think happens to those overseas - whose currencies are pegged to the dollar - who can barely afford food?

    .

    Correct answer: they starve.

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"when in fact the majority of economists have both heard and reject these policies."

    .

If you choose to live your life in World of Warcraft fantasy worlds, then you have the luxury to ignore the reality around you and listen to "experts" (who are continually wrong) to tell you up from down.

    .

I choose to live in the real world. Now, I know your Dungeons and Dragons economists told you the price of gold wasn't going to hit $1875, but it did. Welcome to reality.

  • "you assume I haven't heard these arguments"

    .

SEE: "hearing", Sound of Silence, Simon/Garfunkel

    .

"or that they are somehow objective"

    .

You're right, they're only objective if you compare them to reality.

  • @skepticalmannn . "I highly doubt Obama is actually pro-dollar devaluation...a leader has to lead." . Educate yourself on the "leads" of your "leader". . Literature to benefit you: -Economic policies of the Weimar Republic -The relationship between the price of gold and the stability of a currency -Austrian School of Economics -Alan Greenspan's thesis (subject: how to create a housing bubble) -Bernanke's schoolyard days: "the U.S. government has a technology, called a printing press"
  • @skepticalmannn

    .

In the American form of government, no single individual can pass a bill. Still Confused? SEE: Constitution.

    .

I'll give you an example. Let's pick a bill at random: HR 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009.

    .

Even though this bill was cosponsored by the majority of both houses of Congress, the controlling interests did not allow it to come to a vote. Just like Germany's Don't Kill Jews Act of 1942, the bill was disallowed from passing.

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

He has introduced plenty. Obama is pro-dollar_devaluation and thus did not allow Paul's Audit the Fed bill to become law in its original form (despite the fact that it had overwhelming support in both the House and Senate)

  • @skepticalmannn

[Ron Paul is a leader of a new generation. A generation that doesn't need to be told who to KILL or how to live. Vote or don't, but we'll be TAKING OVER soon, one way or ANOTHER.]

    .

"That type of rhetoric is what turns people off from your ideas...."

    .

Your government is murdering people. This is no joke. If you side with your government and its wars, you are an enemy of humanity, a statist zombie. We invite you to join us, but we have no interest in compromises with evil.

  • @skepticalmannn

    .

"but can you name a single bill the guy has passed"

    .

If getting legislation passed is your standard of judgement for a leader, the natural progression of things will lead toward a dictatorship. No one ever accused Hitler of lacking leadership skills or getting legislation passed.

    .

Ron Paul is a leader of a new generation. A generation that doesn't need to be told who to kill or how to live.

    .

Vote or don't, but we'll be taking over soon, one way or another.

  • @Vogel885 ... You completely missed the point. It doesn't matter who the President is. Congress holds the REAL power in our government.

  • Ron Paul is the only hope we have left. ..RON PAUL 2012!

  • I hate it to when he say Ron Paul won't win. I pisses me off. By the way, I started a myspace account dedicated to Ron Paul, it called Paul's Revolution. I know nobody uses myspace anymore, but I seem to have more room for creativity there. Please come visit, I put nothing but videos related to Ron Paul or freedom in my blogs and I try to put the most up to date videos there, plus some. If we all did this, on Facebook as well, I believe he has a chance of winning.

  • I also dislike how Bill Maher says how Ron Paul did not have a chance at winning, THEREFORE, he was honest. Ron Paul has always been honest when it comes to his political decisions so he was honest before making that realization. I like Bill Maher but not this comment.

  • It annoys me how people say Ron Paul doesn't have a chance in hell so I'm gonna vote "more of the same" since the congress people are gonna go against him anyways. I mean, if there's any chance that Ron Paul will change things, I'd take 4 years of him in office to find out rather than never knowing the possibility in my lifetime.

  • I love how people think Ron Paul is going to change ANYTHING. Anyone who has paid attention to Obama's Presidency should have learned by now that a President cannot enact change on his own. He needs Congress on his side. If Congress is against your policies, you are powerless. Guess what, folks? Nobody in Congress is going to go along with Ron Paul's radical changes.

  • @emantabrizi

    .

"I love how people think Ron Paul is going to change ANYTHING."

    .

Identify reality, changes have already occurred, open the blinds.

  • @schulwitz ... Think of something vague, type it on YouTube, pretend you're smart. Keep up the good work, buddy.

  • @emantabrizi You must be numb from the neck up! First, Paul knows he can't do the things that SHOULD be done because greedy politicians have sold their votes to every lazy, old, illegal, or unemployed person with free monthly checks, housing, medical care, and food stamps. They did this without ever checking to see if the "benefit" was really warrented. The real reason Paul will never be elected is that he won't sell his soul to guys like George Soros and his buddies like Obama has.

  • @coleyman1 ... You are incorrect, my numb-from-the-neck-up friend. Paul will never be elected because he's running for the wrong party. He is too extreme for the Conservative right-wingers.

  • @emantabrizi If you think the right doesn't like him then what do you think about all those "giveaway" liberals on the left?? I guess you didn't read what I said.

  • @coleyman1 ... What do "giveaway liberals" have to do with Right-Wing Conservatives, other than the fact they're both wacko? Paul doesn't belong with either the Republicans or the Democrats, but until the other 60% of the country gets involved in the election process, an Independent will never be President.

  • @emantabrizi Holy Cow!! Can't you read or are you from another planet?? Just take a hike. You just like to banter back and forth and probably have no life other than youtube. Just read what I said and you will find that we are saying almost the same thing except you must be young and never conversed with anyone except on some type of electronic media device. Now, go get a life young man...

  • @coleyman1 ... No, we are not saying the same thing. You're typing mindless blabber. I'm making a concise point.

  • @emantabrizi Did you forget your fourth grade American Government classes? What is the President? Commander-in-chief....which means he can end all the wars we are currently fighting overseas by bringing our troops home. I consider that a change.

  • @TheBearnuts ... Why would we bring them home now? We're not done "nation-building" over there. [sarcasm]

  • @emantabrizi Ron Paul will bring the troops home. As a Marine who has deployed before, I have no doubt in my heart that he will bring us home. That is why he gets more money from servicemen than any other candidate or Obama. I'm tired of people who stick a yellow ribbon on their bumper and say they support the troops and then forget about it as they drive to Starbucks to get their chai latte. If they really care about the troops then they would listen to what were trying to say, Ron Paul 2012.

  • @TheBearnuts ... Do you really believe Paul would just bring home everybody at once, or would he stick to the troop withdrawal schedule set forth by Obama?

  • @emantabrizi That's why you vote durr

  • @emantabrizi You are correct. The President cannot act without Congress. Our operating system has become too corrupt. The Constitution holds the instructions to wipe and reload the operating system.

  • Of course. I know Americans would be alarmed, suspicious, and angry if a country like Russia or China had their navy in and around the continental United States or even one of the neighboring countries.

  • @racergonemad99: perhaps what you say about guns is true (then again, maybe it's a case of correlation rather than causation). But it doesn't matter, because I think you're missing the point. You're arguing that owning guns is bad. The real argument is whether we should have the right to own them.

Smoking is also bad but we still have the freedom to do it, becuase without the freedom to make mistakes, there is no freedom at all (not in the least because what a "mistake" is, is very subjective).

  • country wide

  • I don't like republicans, but I liked Ron Paul. He just seemed like a great guy and his platform was more towards a mix between republican and democrat

  • @racergonemad99 I have hated both parties for years, and Ron Paul has finally made this election not a "lesser of two evils" scenario. I studied it, and it's called "Libertarianism" - A social policy of freedom (liberals minus ignoring the 2nd amendment), Conservative Economics (not the Neocon butchering), and a foreign policy of non-interventionism (which is not isolationism, btw). It's really what the Constitution preaches.

He ran for the Libertarian party, but the 2 party system killed it.

  • @Destroyer220 I still find him a bit too conservative, but he's definitely the best out of the lot. I live in Canada, so I think a lot of americans are much too gung-ho about their right to own a weapon imho. Statistically speaking, owning a gun usually leads to either domestic violence or accidental shootings, rather than the off-chance you'll have to protect yourself (While, in the process, possible killing someone else).

  • @racergonemad99 i guess yo do not believen property rights. A gun does not kill a person. A car does not kill a person. A knife does not kill a person. You can use them to kill people. Thank God for the 2nd Amendment, you liberals can try very hard but the message of the founders of the US constitution will live n forever!

  • @racergonemad99 Statistically speaking? Would you care to cite your source; the one that came up first for me said that gun ownership didn't have a significant rate on the amount of murders per capita. (Saying that while the lawful citizens who wouldn't shoot anyone to begin with, did get rid of their weapons, the criminals still managed to procure various firearms, regardless of legislation). This was from 07/08.

  • @ExEverest10 Fair enough, but then there must be some other reason that the homicide rate in the U.S is 10x that of Canada's... I assumed that over the long run, the ability for everyone to own a gun generally leads to more guns in that country, and a higher amount of illegally owned firearms compared to a country barring people from owning one.

  • @racergonemad99 Well, precisely! Why jump to conclusions before assessing all other possibilities? I mean, the notion of 'guns killing' sounds reasonable, but there are statistics availible that can either support this claim, or provide no such foundation. I'm just saying, don't take things on face value; there are much better methods of assessment, and much better sources of information than your personal experience.

  • Dodd is such a tool.

  • People seem to confuse saying that america invited the attack with saying america deserved it. If a girl walks down a back alley completely drunk and naked, she increases the chances of rape, but it doest make it morally justified. Saying that american foreing policy is the cause of anti-american hatred is not saying that it is deserved.

  • @TheProgressistViewer Ron Paul made an excellent point in some video or in his book, I can't recall where. He said that when a crime is committed, detectives examine the intent of the criminal. This is not to excuse the crime, but to see how it came to be in our modern society, what/who provoked it, etc.

  • What they are afraid to lose is the control of oil in the middle east .

  • The Democratic party is actually called THE SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

Ron Paul isn't a Socialist. That is why Democrats won't take him. HE IS AN INDIVIDUALIST.

  • first of all 9/11 was a inside job the government was runnin drills and it was a miltary plane that hit the towers and they exploded before the plane hit so yea people need to quit being fuckin sheep and wake the fuck up already

  • Maher is scared to death of Ron Paul because he wants to bring all the troops home. No more blood and money for maher's people, and we know who they are! Can't put those words in here or else your name goes on a list somewhere. They are probably either going to murder us or try to send us to fema camps because we know their game.

  • Why would Chris Dodd even come on this show? I live in Connecticut, he's an embarrasment to the state, trust me.

  • I used to live in Oxford, and I always loathed Dodd and you are stuck with rosa deloro, destephano who gives the city of New Haven to illegals. Rosa tried to put through a bill to outlaw organic gardening. Her husband lobbies for monsanto,.. they want to get the people in a bigger stranglehold by controling all the food. I can't understand these two getting away with what they do. I though New Haven was a hard-working italian town.

  • pooped on.....

  • Even Bill Maher like Ron Paul. Legalize the constitution Ron Paul Revolution

  • I hope that prick gets voted out of office. Peter Schiff for Senator!

  • What the hell, F you Bill Maher!

Listen to the first 11 secs of the vid on how he bashes and down plays Ron Paul, while the rest of the video is all about Dr. Paul's ideas.

It doesn't take a smart person to figure this out. People are intelligent rational individuals but when you get people(s) listening to this J'ass they go with the majority of the laughter and stop thinking for themselves.

You're smarter than they say you are; think for yourself!

  • The Byzantians had a secret door leading to the outside of the city. The door was left open accidentally and one of Mehmet's men found it.

Muslim savagery was allowed for 3 days as 'punishment' for the infidels refusal to surrender some 2 months earlier.

Women & children were raped on christian altars where the eucharist was once served.

    Churches were turned into Mosques.

Imagine the Amercians 'conquering' Mecca and doint the same thing's they did.

The whole wordl is Islam's enemy!

  • Ok, so America gets out of Muslim affairs. Then what? Will they be happy?

    Fuck no!

Before America, before anyone knew there was a North America, Muslim savages attacked, sacked, & destroyed a Christian city-empire that stood for over 1,000 years. (700 more than America today).

    From Constantinople to Instanbul Yet......

Never one fucking Muslim apology! But they sure do demand apologies for the Crusades....

Rotten fuckers....anyone that falls for this shit is deluded.

  • You are a piece of shit!!!!!!!

Muslims did not destroy Constantinople, in fact I recently went to Istanbul and it was really nice, but to you its just full of "Islamic f*cktards". Idiot.

In fact, the Crusaders brutally sacked Constantinople in 1204 and stole a lot of valuable treasures from the Hagia Sophia. It was much more brutal than the Muslims taking the city, so maybe the Catholics should be apologizing.

  • You are truly a mangnaminous ignoramous of history. Constantinople was sacked & highjacked (sound familiar?) by Mahmet The Conqueror in 1554.....or was is it '51? (Seljik Turks)

Somewheres back then. Never -the- less...... these are HISTORICAL facts. Insanbul (Islamic)Turkey, was once ...........Constantiople....(Christian).

What they did then, they will do now.

Fuck you, & fuck Islam. May America bomb them all to Allah!

    It's not even arguable.

  • excuse me.....1451.....been a while since I've read about this atrocity.

  • The city was conquered by Muslims, but not "highjacked", like your type of fools would say. You simply hate Islam, and it is evident that you are deranged and demented.

Constantinople was already in near-ruins when the Turks took it, but after that, they made it the capital of their empire and made it a great city again!!!!!!!

  • Oh, I see. Muslims 'conquer'. Americans invade!

The only demented ones are the deluded bastards that spread fariyl tales of imaginary beings that cannot be proved to exist. Allah only exists in yer mind. It's people that bring destruction and death to other people, NOT fucking Allah.

If allah is so great, why don't you wackjobs let him defend himself? lol....you won't because he don't exist. You guys gotta do his dirty work for him.

How many Hindu millions have you savages killed?

  • It took Islam over 700 years to 'conquer' Constantiople. The Crusades were a result of this relentless Islamic attack on Christians. They stole parts of the empire slowly over the centuries.

At the same time, Islamic savages invaded India and killed or enslaved millions over the next thousad years.

Yet deluded Muslims tell me how 'peaceful' Islam is.

It's not peaceful now, never been peacefull in history and will not change in the future. There is no room for fairy tales in the 21st Century.

  • Well, the Koran is full of war-mongering. But so is the Old Testament. Have you ever read about some of the f-ud up stuff the Israelites did to their neighbors? Raping, killing, enslaving. It's in the freakin Bible! This is precisely why Christians should just stay out of the way.

Judaism is no more peaceful than Islam, they just get Americans to fight their battles.

  • Sure the bible is full of shit as well. And why all religions must go the way of Zeus.

But the bible has no clear mandate to it's believer's to go out and kill the infidels. The O.T. is a historical record. The N.T. clearly sets out a new tone of peace.

The Qeer'ran is different tho. It clearly calls out for death on the infidels, tho the moderates decry that type of usage.

The Islamic rhetoric of the past centuries reads like a modern day newspaper. There was no America around in 1453

  • Especially since they were supposedly there to help the Byzantines! Talk about backstabbing.

  • I don't like Muslims any more than you do. That's precisely why we should leave them alone and let them kill each other, which is what they do best. The only thing that unites them is a common enemy.

You're actually off on Constantinople, though. By historical standards the Ottoman Turks were pretty conservative; they preserved the city and most of the inhabitants. In fact, it was a Hungarian man who designed the big-ass cannon that they used to penetrate the city walls.

  • No, I'm not 'off' on Constantinople. Mahment the Concqueror attacked and invaded and renamed it "Instanbul".

Remember, Muslims 'conquer', Americans invade. They a skewed way of looking at history. They attacked and piecemealed the Byzantine empire for over 700 years culminating in the capture and occupation of Constantiople in 1453.

It's a commonly held belief that cannon blew a hole in the wall, but that is not the true historical fact

3 days of rape & pillage were allotted the victors.

  • chris dodd is a peice of shit... fucking theif him and his shitbag wife

  • Fuck Bill Maher, he obviously sold out and ignored Ron Paul during the campaign. We had a chance for real change.

  • @roseagain2 Bill Maher > Ron Paul, at least Bill Maher is an atheist

  • @id1337x At least Ron Paul believes you have the right to be an atheist even though he isn't, you have the right to do drugs even though he doesn't, you have the right to be gay and married even though he is a christian. Ron Paul believes in everyone's freedom not just his.

  • @roseagain2 Actually, Bill Maher believes you have the right to be an atheist, the right to do drugs, the right to be LGBT, etc. He is as libertarian as Ron Paul I think. However, at least he believes in universal health care and giving everyone health care, when in the world today billions of people are suffering due to a lack of it. And I am not some Bill Maher worshipper or anything, he is a Zionist and his anti-Islam attacks do a lot to justify the wars, but Ron Paul is no angel either

  • @id1337x I think if it was up to Bill he would take away the right to practice religion.Universal healthcare is not Libertarian. It doesn't work and how are you going to pay for healthcare for EVERYONE?Liberals want social freedom but when it comes to your money there is no freedom. The government is the cause of high prices in healthcare, insurance, food and education.Almost everyone has a tv, cell phone, or computer. They are affordable because the goverment is not in the cell phone business, yet.

  • @id1337x I'm curious to hear what you have against Ron Paul. He is extremely knowledgeable in economics he was the only one running for President that warned of the collapse of the economy, he knows healthcare and has delivered over 4,000 babies, he has never voted against the constitution, he served in the military, he's been married for 50 years and he believes everyone has a right to their life so there is no racism, elitism, gender bias, extreme debt or endless war. Thanks!

  • @roseagain2

Thank you for injecting some sense into the conversation you were having with id1337.

  • @id1337x I agree with you that Ron isn't perfect. Nobody is. Even Jesus posed the question "Why do you call me good?" That said, and with all the crazy skeletons coming out about various political candidates. I still stand behind him on his issues. That's the great thing about this country - you may not agree to whom a person is but if his rhetoric and voting record matches what he stands for, as Ron has done for over 20 years, than I'll vote for him as President.

  • iF YOU CANT SEE WHATS IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE THEN YOU ARE BLIND? RIGHT?

  • Chris Dodd is such a warmongering big bank JERKOFF and I cannot wait to see Peter Schiff go Alfred Hitchcock on his political career!!!

  • hahahahahahaha, funny.

  • Paul / Kucinich 2012

A realistic hope for the future.

  • Its a shame more people have not heard ron Paul speak. He is a sincere and honest man. Libertarianism was always the goal of the founding fathers. let people live how thy want to live, let them make choices for themselves on a personal level. Complete freedom of action, as long as it brings no harm to others. this is what Ron Paul is all about. And telling the federal government to leave people alone.

  • Obama's administration- defined by Webster: Fascism- a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

  • you're saying webster deines the obama administraion as fascism? or thats how they define fascism...

    yeah thats what i thought.

Instead of spreading fear, why don't you share with us some specific examples of how the obama adminstration is being fascist...

  • If you think the US is fascist you need to get some perspective. If it was you wouldn't be free to make pissy little youtube comments about how fascist it is without guys coming to haul you off for reeducation.

  • Do you have a brain? Are you stupid ? The economy is moving into a state of socialism. Recite your pledge of allegiance what do those words consists of? Our own pledge doesn't even mention a country of democracy but rather a Republic. The media is controlled by the government so they are not going to tell you the truth.

  • It;s nice to see some people starting to catch on. Now if only the people that voted for Obama would see that, instead of voting for him because of his race then we would not have that problem. The public was never even been shown his birth certificate. I think both government parties are bullshit. we need a new government FOR THE PEOPLE

  • The government is for the people. The United States decided to become more and more socialist at the end of the 19th century with the various child welfare organizations.

The people voted for it, and it was elected. The people don't always make the right choices, sometimes they elect someone that vents the treasury into the desert, but that's the system we have.

Suck it up, it's supposed to taste like a shit taco when your guy loses.

  • mug

  • Bill's awakening...

  • they would gain executive powers. through fear mongering the patriot act was passed after 911. shortly after habius corpus fell. those are facts that cannot be contended. by default the government would gain more power to silence those who opposed it.

  • i'm backin you up shelly, not cuz i agree with you but cuz bweazel's been comin on way strong. calm yerself bweazel, you could have talked shelly in circles with building 7 and whatnot, eased the topic into different directions, but instead you just shouted and assumed. yer way to speculative. doubt's good, and curiosity, and even frustration, but speculataion is something you should watch out for, not a good road to go down.

  • Why is everybody giving me thumbs down for being rational...yea sorry I don't see what our government would get out of establishing a terrorist group that wants our annihilation.

  • This right here is why I call you a facist. You don't believe the government can do any wrong, you don't believe they'd kill their own people, you have full, blind trust in a bunch of elites who don't care about you. Let me enlighten you a bit, elites have much to gain from setting up a fake group of rag tags or at least starting a fake one that turned in to a real one. Arms deals to defend against this, less liberties so we cannot rise against them. Money. Lots of it. Wake the hell up.

  • No....

I believe they have done plenty wrong, I just don't see anything rational in plotting the demise of their own country...you know the one they have power over?

    Because it isn't rational.

Oh how cute you're enlightening me, thanks buddha only an idiot wouldn't realize that about elites. Tell me what else you learned from whatever conspiracy website you're obsessed with or did you learn this from some hero of yours? Chomskey? Really I'm curious.

  • Lol he did sorta've take a big presumption on you.

  • its funny how people do that, we're on the internet, you couldn't possibly get what he did out of the few comments I posted.

  • Yeah lol appearently he thinks you run countries with an Iron fist.. lol

  • You honestly are a little bit crazy. Swearing at a rational person and calling him fascist for not believing your conspiracy theories is not just rude, but nuts. You aren't even showing a proper understanding of what fascism is. I wish people would stop referring to actual free and democratic systems as fascist as soon as something happens that they don't agree with. Take part in the system rather than bitching.

  • If you're refering to the conversation between shelby and Sshelly, I think you should go back and reread it. The only time I "swore" I used the word hell. I called him/her fascist and I believe I backed it up pretty well, but for you to try and call me out on being rude and using poor langauge is utterly ridiculous. You are putting an evil, rude spin on it simply because you don't agree with what I'm saying.

Sure though. Let's start up a convo. In your opinion, what is modern day fascism?

  • Haha. Or Sshelly and I. Good lord I type too quick sometimes.

  • I'll bitch all I want Scissor and so should you. I don't need someone to tell me I have the right to. It's funny you refer to us as a free and democratic system. First off, this country hasn't had a free market in at least 100 years, it's hardly a democracy, it's actually a republic, but all that doesn't matter. If you were to actually read my comments with an open mind you would see I'm merely stating my opinion, not trying to demonize the guy, unlike someone else I just met ;)

  • Oh by the way. You're not being rational. You're just being a follower.

  • Oh shut the fck up, I'm sick of this ridiculous conversation.

    What am I following??

You sound like a non conformist conformist, someone who feels the need to point out how everyone follows the lead, yet probably follows what others say as well.

    What am I following?

You're just pulling comments out of your ass now because you have nothing else to say.

  • usually im a democrat but nowadays its not so cookie cutter blue and red. chris dodd's a dumbass.

  • Hammas is a creation of Israel. This is also a known fact.

If a country's goal is perpetual war, they must have a perpetual enemy.

  • Patriot Act can be an excuse for illegal search &

    seizure.

    check youtube "COPS BEAT ME"

for reasons against the Patriot Act.

  • Dodd said 9/11 was unprovoked. Goddamn he's dense. Yup, one morning, the attackers woke up and said "Let's blow some big shit up,as well as ourselves, it'll be fun" for no reason whatsoever. If our part of the world was constantly being fucked with by some high-horse foreign power, we wouldn't sit idly by either. Some of us would find some of their shit to blow up, too. Also known as BEING PROVOKED. 9/11 was grotesque in every way, but play with fire long enough and you will get burned.

  • 9-11 what a bunch of B.S. Look into WTC7. How does a 47 story building fall down at FREE FALL speed (6 seconds) that NEVER got hit by anything. And the twin towers fall down onto buildings 3,4,5,and 6. And they never fall into a pile of rubble. Look into the Bay of Tonkin as well. Too many things don't add up. firefighters for 9/11 truth. EVERYONE will become a pawn in there game! Even the people in the media, who don't report the truth!

  • Chris Dodd... FUCKING OWNED!!! I hate that crooked prick.

  • HOLY SHIT..........This is sooooo true......

  • Of course they are attacking because we are on their land...why else would they? Did you read the 911 report? Do you think those people would commit suicide for any lesser reason? It is against their religion to allow foriegn military bases on their land. For Gods sake wake up!

I think if we withdrew from the middle east, that would be the end of it...they would stop attacking. Again, if China had bases in Pittsburg, we would be attacking those bases, would we not?

  • Yes and suicide is against their code of ethics over there, for some damn reason the Americans like to think of them as unethical and we alienate them for reasons that aren't even true. If we weren't screwing with them, they wouldn't be screwing with us.

  • HKBM45: Please look up Michael Scheuer. MS is a 22 year veteran of the CIA's bin Laden unit. He has confirmed Ron Paul's assertions that "blow back" (unintended consequences) is in fact a real effect due the US involving itself in the affairs of other nations. Is it that unbelievable? Isn't it natural for people to want justice for all the injustices they have endured? Some people misinterpret injustices; however, a person's perception is their reality. It's safer to mind our business.

  • I entirely understand that we received "blow back", I mentioned that in one of my other posts. I'm not defending our foreign policy at all. However, how you deal with that "blow back" is important and sends a message to those we dealt it. If you take it like a spanking that kind of behavior is rewarded and will continue to be used. Minding our business for the future is a great idea, and I wont argue that. Terrorism must be dealt with. It is not conventional war, it is crime and needs punishment

  • Chris Dodd is history. He's dropping like a rock in the polls for 2010.

  • Imagine you're a kid growing up in Iraq. You don't know anything about politics or war, but one day a bomb launched by the "land of the free and the home of the brave" kills your parents and cripples you.

Would you think to yourself "Oh, well the USA is a beacon of freedom and I'm sure they had a good reason for doing what they did" or would you become an enemy of the USA for destroying your family and your life?

This is why I believe we need to listen to our "enemies."

  • This is a different type of enemy. I agree that we probably had this coming from that region of the world. And Im not saying our foreign policy there has been correct, even now. However you simply cannot "listen" to terrorists.Terrorism is a type of warfare that is based and thrives on fear. When you back down to it, the next time we do something they dont like they will use it again, or they will use it elsewhere. When fighting terrorism our soldiers are not at risk, our citizens are.

  • Disagreeing with attacking Afghanistan and Iraq is fine, and we probably shouldnt have attacked either. But you cannot "listen" to terrorism and take it like a slap on the wrist. It has to be responded to, at least to some degree. It should have been a swift, concise, and bloody, and then we should have sat back and waited for them to "TREAD ON ME"

  • Since we had been bombing that area for 10 years prior to 911 we created blowback & we were struck back. However, if we had not spent decades f*cking their shit up, I guarantee there would not have been a 911. So 911 was 'thier way of talking back to us'. Don't forget that when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, we 'talked back' by blowin' up Japan. The point is we have been blowin shit up in the middle east for decades so it was a matter of time before we felt some Blow Back for our involvment.

  • Why is listening to our enimies a bad thing? I used to think they attacked us for our freedon until I saw Ron Paul telling us the real reasons in the GOP debates.

HKBM45 calls then terrorists. Mabey to us they are, but to them WE are the terrorists. You simply cannot put bases on their holy lands in Saudi Arabia (1991) and not expect blowback. If China had chinese bases and tanks in pittsburg, I promise you Americans would be picking up rifles.

  • calimar28: When I say terrorists I am referring to the 9/11 attacks. They ARE terrorists because they deliberately attacked civilian targets, and killed many American citizens in the process. If they don't consider themselves terrorists, that's fine, but you have to draw the line somewhere. You cannot do whatever you want and excuse it with your culture or your religion. If China had tanks in Pittsburgh, Californians would not be flying airliners into skyscrapers in Beijing....

  • Dont be so sure...

It is different, because the attacks are made cuz of religion...they feel we are on their holy land, so they feel justified in attacking in any way.

I understand that attacking civilians on 911 was horrible, and they shouldnt of done it. But to them, that was the way to get our attention I guess. But the bottom line is change our foriegn policy and get off their land. That would solve the problem.

  • Well you should not be so sure yourself it seems. Getting off their land and changing our policy may not solve the problem. Although I agree we should do both of those things.

And getting our attention is no excuse for terrorism either, that is essentially the purpose of terrorism. It cant be overlooked because of their intentions or our actions that brought them on.

  • Actually, people would be doing everything they can to fuck with China. Because China has no fucking business building a military base in our country, just like we have none to do so in theirs.

  • Fuck, I hope the average American has more honor than that. I would like to think Americans would not become suicide bombers that target civilians.

  • I think they would. I wouldn't, personally, but I don't think you understand it from their perspective...

But ya, I'd do my best to keep to my principles even in such a case.

  • Did you not listen to the video? You are a dumbfuck.

  • Try to avoid jumping into things late, when you don't know whats going on. It makes you look like.... a dumbfuck.

  • No read the conservation, you're still a dumbfuck.

  • Wrong again - ""Listen to our enemies?" That is the worst thing I have ever heard. Thats what suicide terrorists want... to be listened to. Should we be as imperialistic as we have been? No, but we certainly do not need to be listening to our enemies. The only way radical suicide bombers will stop is if their acts have no effect. This is quite disturbing and I really hope Ron Paul does not believe this" --- You are STILL a dumbfuck.

  • Right, so we should ignore why they are attacking us and just go on a slaughtering rampage, I see. Thanks for your grand insight. Not listening gets normal people in trouble in their individual lives, why should a country be any different. The country is run be ordinary people, wars are fought by ordinary people, we still have to listen, whether we think we are the king or the slave. Otherwise we look irrational, illogical, ignorant and absolutely stupid. Glad the people running USA aren't you.

  • um Al Qaeda is a terrorist group....

They'll want to attack people no matter what, he's just making the point that it might be safer for us to just leave.

  • Al Qaeda is a creation of the CIA.

  • Well you could say that, since they gave Bin Laden billions of dollars which he later used to fund Al Qaeda. however....there's no government conspiracy going on here, rest easy little man.

  • Comment removed

  • You could use a little more skepticism in your life. How about not taking what the government says as truth until you can find out for yourself. If there is no way possible for you to find the real truth, then you would do better just not believing what they say rather than acting like some facist.

  • Wow great assumption based on what exactly? A post.

Give me a break I don't "believe whatever the government tells me" where the hell did you get that crap from?

    How am I acting fascist?

  • You've been watching to much television. Let me break it down to you this way you, you coward. You are ALWAYS in danger. Always! You cannot stop terrorism. This war is a sick joke and anyone who follows it or believes in it is sick.

  • If you think the problem starts with suicide bombers, you are not seeing the big picture.

They don't do that for fun. They do it because they are pissed. And they are pissed because there is a fucking imperium on the march down there, teaching stuff that is rubbish in their ears.

A sad truth is that since WW2, no nation has taken as many lives as the US.

Did you know the US spends more on its military than the ENTIRE WORLD COMBINED?

How do you defend something like that?

  • Mike Gravel

  • It's amazing how one and the same the establishment of BOTH political parties are when the topic of 911 is raised. The parrot the same old cliched responses deigned to pander to people's ignorance whenever any questions are raised about what the U.S. government might have done to instigate the hatred that caused foreigners to do what they did on 911.

Dodd evidences himself here as nothing more than an establishment party hack; totally "in the box", representing NO change from the staus quo.

  • Foreigners didn't do 911, the U.S gorvernment did..."Loose Change", check it out

  • Sorry, not just the U.S gorvernment but the Federal Reserve, illuminati the ultimate masterminds behind this...."Zeitgeist" - also check out

  • No chance of winning it? That's why this Marxist bastard Bill Maher is just another puppet in the political machine. He probably said "Now we know anyone can become president" after that talking head Barry Obama was elected, even though he too has a corporate hand up his ass. Saying Ron Paul has no chance of winning it is saying that true American values can never again be represented by a president, and that you must sell your soul (or not have one to begin with) to be elected.

  • allahragbar

Perhaps you're being too harsh on Maher. Though we disagree with Maher on issues, we need to not make the mistake of vilifying people who don't always agree with us. That's what necons like Rush Limbaugh do: vilify those who disagree.

Maher called R.P. his hero. He's really speaking up for him here. In saying he has no chance, I interpret that as him saying it's a sad that truth tellers get nowhere in our system. We shouldn't harsh on Maher. He's helped us far more than he's hurt us

  • You bring up a very good point; I shouldn't dismiss Maher because of this one statement or for the fact that he is a liberal, nor do I want to align myself with neocons like Limbaugh. But it's hard to disregard his statement about "a Democrat isn't saying things like that," like Maher could not fundamentally back someone who isn't a Democrat based on the sole fact that they are not a Democrat .

  • allahragbar:

No. He's saying that NO Democrat in the race had the GUTS to tell the truth about 911 (and yet they were supposed to be the "opposition party" to Bush), and that there's is Republican, Ron Paul, his new HERO, who DOES.

*****Jesus Christ, in the world of politics, when a "liberal" pays that kind of compliment to a "conservative, it is BIG. Maher's comments here PUT RON PAUL'S CAMPAIGN ON THE MAP.

We are FOREVER indebted to him no matter what our differences on policy.

  • usually hate bill maher but he speaks the truth here

  • im from ct. thank you bill.........c. dodd is a wonderful example of just why we need term limits.

our gov. has become stagnated and corrupt on bothe sides of the isle.

we have been provided w/the illusion of choice. dodd and the crony crew have got to go.

  • Would the real Peter Schiff stand up and run against this toolbox... Dodd????
