i dont think it did it right?? prolly a lwb one would have gone through easily. my lwbs. takle such slopes in standard spec no difflock or the sort and 2.25s diesel too. maybe the slope is hard and slippery. ? prolly a winching comrade at top would be a nice shot to take:)
a swb has axxles that are very close. the lwb spread the grip forth
A lwb would probably find it harder, being heavier. The distance between the axles has NO influence on grip whatsoever! There's still the same area in contact with the ground.
No he didn't get up. This was the first time driving with the new rear difflocks fitted. This is a section of the "Strata Florida" greenlane in mid-ish Wales. This vehicle is running on its original 2.25 diesel NA engine producing about 60hp.
What rear diff lock is it? And where can I get one? It's still a Rover diff, not converted to Salisbury?

Do u only use 1 low range for rock crawling, decending steep slopes and axle twisters. Also what gear should he have been in.

And a lwb is more likely to ground out so is not so good

It ought to get up there without needing axle diff locks, although looking at the tyres I think you'd struggle in anything but very dry conditions.

Eh you'd be surprised.

Did it make it or not because it looks imposible for a car with that short distance between axles
