I added 70 to 80% of the sounds in this video: footsteps, zombies moans, shots and musics. And you are right, some of the sounds comes from different RE ;)
Yes, there is 2 video walktrough. The old one is in 2 parts and the new one in 3 parts. I will also remake this RE1 walktrough with more material but later ;-)
It seems changing Jill's outfit to the one she wears now was a "last minute" decision. I'm glad they did -- the one they were going to ultimately use looked ridiculous. Why the hell would she need knee pads?
Sorry but I disagree. Jill's previous outfit comes from a very, very early beta.
So yes, Capcom's staff played a lot with various costums ideas, in the development stage, but it seems that as soon as they started to work on a playable version of the game, they canceled the early costum.

I don't have a video but look for any walktrough reguarding RE1, they all explain it. It works.
Barry gives the code to open the door to Jill, if you wait for him to send you a second rope.
