What? How is radiation produced from hydrocarbons or steam? Radiation is caused by the decay of unstable (radioactive) particles, like uranium. The exothermic oxidation of hydrocarbons does not cause particles to become unstable or water to become radioactive.

What you are implying is impossible. If you were saying this about nuclear power plants, I may understand your misunderstanding, however, fossil fuels do not cause any radiation. Just saying it is a fact doesn't make it a fact.

@JonThm Green plants emit oxygen, by consumption of carbon dioxide. People breath in oxygen (among other gases) and exhale carbon dioxide (and other gases). The only helium and methane I exhale already was inhaled in the same proportions. The human metabolism can't do anything with these inert gases and will most definitely not produce them.

Basic biology states plants produce oxygen by photosynthesis, i.e. the light-induced reaction of carbon dioxide and water to produce glucose. Not fusion.

JonThm when I use a geiger on radioactive elements I pick up gamma-alpha-beta particles..when I use a magnetic field to deflect this ionized radiation some particles are deflecting, some or reflected and some pass through neutral (Photons etc). Whats the difference between the particles emitted from a flame and ones emitted from radioactive isotopes etc? could you explain in simple terms
