Woody Guthrie was one of the first people to popularize political folk music. I know people who think Paul Baribeau is really dumb because his music is like little kid acoustic pop punk. I strongly disagree, because his songs are really on the same level as Woody Guthrie. Not saying he's as good as Guthrie, but Guthrie's songs were simple and his voice wasn't that good. His songs were about simple things that mattered to him. Same with Paul.
