Watched rest of review now, good job!!! I got the red/post-Nemesis Prime [primarily] red Armada Hot Shot and he was different. He didn't have the puggey/dough-boy face, but his visor wouldn't move! As the one I have isn't yellow and I didn't get the yellow Energon version, you've sold me on this one! I look forward to adding him in to my gang!
Don't forget the Scavenger/Mentor angle, one of the best pieces in Armada. Scavenger saves Hot Shot from death b/c he's undercover as a merc for Megatron (really reconning the D-con base). Further (and later), Scavenger states that Hot Shot was one of the big reasons he came b/c of his potential. This makes Hot Shot (along with SS) the most developed character in Armada. No critique on you, just thought this needed to be added! ;)
Hot Shot is annyoing character and this toy sucks. I do have to say I like the Trasformation. But where is his weapon? A transformer with out a weapon is about as much fun as poopy falvored lolly pop. In any case you did a good job wit hthe review. You can tell you are starting to come in to your own with reveiwing. But please start reviewing some better toys, I know you have then man, I seen them.
if you're not fond of Hot Shot then that's your opinion, but personally I think he's pretty cool. Hot Shot originally came with 2 missile launchers(spring loaded of course) but they were cut due to cost, they will be included on the Henkei version though.
Yeah, I feel peaugh was a little hard on this toy, either that or he just got a bad one since I don't really have any of the problems his has. Your milage will vary with stolen chinese toys.
I like this one. Hot Shot has articulation!

even store bought ones. got another animated shockwave. the plastic feels cheap and it breaks easily...
