It is only a gimmick if radio plays a song you like. Because then most other songs played are so lame that other songs you like aren't even worth waiting for (reason why music taste accuracy is lost). Then you hear all these commercials and pointless DJ bantering (reason why you hear fewer songs), plus most radio stations specialize on one genre (reason for lack of genre diversity).
Don't you want more genres, more songs played and better music taste accuracy at a party?

Unfortunately, dance parties aren't as popular as they used to be.
People listen to too many slow songs on the fucking radio; which explains the downfall of the dance music market.
Just say NO to radio, and say YES to YouTube!
