Its a comedy/panel/game show based on the news of the week. the panel has local and overseas guest comediens. paul is known to break out into song regularly. it is now traditional on the last show of the season to do a large live show with a number of musical numbers amongst it and to finish.

I was at this show!! It was filmed at the now shutdown Perth Entertainment Centre, and they filled it twice in the night. I'm not sure if they ever put this on a separate CD, but it might be worth checking ebay for it

I believe that the singing and Sandy and Flacco were mainly on Good News Weekend and Nightlight and as only Good News Week has come back you can't expect it to have things from all 3 shows.

Sandman and Flacco appeared a few time as guests on GNW before they joined the spin off programs as regulars, as for the singing, We seem to forget that Paul didn't do it all the time all the time, in the early days it was a special event only he would sing like the news years episodes(they were great btw, the whole extended family gathered around the TV one year to watch it, twas great about thirty of us gagging ourselves in laughter) and then he did it more often when ratings were in lulls.

I first heard this song when Paul did it at a performance of Mosh at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in March 1996. I thought it was one of the most beautiful songs I had ever heard, and I still think that. I've got it on CD too, got very excited when I found it because I was worried I would never hear it again. The man is an incredible talent.
