  • Charice handled the role of Sunshine wonderfully and her two performances on the Season 2 premier were absolutely amazing. What a win-win as Charice has brought her "Chasters" to the Glee fan-base and her exposure on Glee and the accompanying Press introduced her to millions of new fans.

    .

We can expect Charice to be in 4 or 5 more episodes near the end of the season as Vocal Adrenaline and Sunshine come back into the story-line.

  • @charicesunshine can't wait to catch her on future Glee episodes!

  • fuck all you racists out there why would you fucking tie her nationality to her obvious talent? incredibly stupid

  • Who Cares American people That hates Filipinos!!! Am Proud To be A Filipino I Don't care what ya'll about us begin Filipinos!! You Just Jealous that You not Filipino like us!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Loveremo13 i am a filipino but i don't think americans are jealous to our race...their country had absolutely more contribution than ours...tol,wag ka magsalita ng ganyan kakahiya....baka sabihin nila mayabang tayo...ehhh nagsisimula pa lang bumangon ang pinas;D...may point din naman cla dun sa previous comment...don't get me wrong ok???and to all americans out there...sorry if u think we're being arrogant...let's respect each other.no bias.;))....

  • @Loveremo13 Nah i happen to have some filopino (american) friends but they don't go on youtube trying to gain points off of Charice's talent/fame...........Go to all the other comment boards (Miley,Jbeiber, etc etc) and you rarely see people trying to take credit for there talent......I understand you guys are proud of your fellow filopino but remember, her success has nothing to do with you..and everything to do with Charice's talent.

  • @Loveremo13 And why are u so proud about being a Filipino? Just because Charice was able to make a name of her own, you're already entitled to the same fame. Para kang langaw na nkatapak sa kalabaw. The reason y some Americans despise us is because of Filipinos like you. Nkarinig ka lang ng Filipino na nadaig ang ilang Amerikano, kala mong ikaw ang nakadaig sa kanilang lahat. They've nothing to be jealous about because they've more accomplishments than all the Filipinos' accomplishments combined.

  • @JRMGrrr If i were u i wouldn't say that. :D yes i am a filipino girl and i am happy to be in another country 2 represent my country. I wouldn't let my country/nationality down just because of people that don't like my country. So, if i were you i wouldn't say anything to Loveremo13 and just start 2 represent your own country and this goes for everyone in the world! You can't say Loveremo13 is a fly in tagalog(filipino language), thats just mean!

thumbs up If I am right?

  • @diamondrose990 You know what, if I were you, I will shut up. You don't make any sense. What's the connection between you letting down your nationality and those people who don't like it? Marunong ka nga mag-Ingles, wala namang sense.

I am in another country too, in fact, I am where Charice rose to stardom. And as far as I know, nobody makes a big deal about Filipinos being "Filipinos" here other than the Filipinos themselves. So go back to your corner of the world and suck your thumb. O_o\m/

  • tsaka guyz tama yung isang sinabi ng nag comment....wag nyo palaging sinasabi na i'm proud to be filipino....masakit pero accept na lang natin.:)

  • If she is proud to be filipina then how come she had a nose job done?

  • @mondetrotter pati ba naman ilong pinoproblema mo pa????suportahan na lang natin...kababayan natin yan ehhh...at least manlang umngat tayo kahit sa ganitong paraan lang?

  • @mondetrotter

What does that have to do with being filipino? o_O Why do proud american celebrities get not just nose jobs but breast implants and so much more if they're proud to be americans?

  • My step-mom is friends with charice!! my actual mom thinks that Charice has a fake voice when we were watching the telephone song, but i told her it's real and she didn't believe me, my step-mom said she has a really good voice and it's not fake

  • @sindiperson Charice Don't lip sing like any others people out there in the world

  • @Loveremo13

yea i know n it bugs me that my mom thinks that.

  • @sindiperson Lol Make your Mom listen to one of her song and tell her that Charice don't lip sing, her mom teaches her how to sing when she 12 years in her bedroom =D

  • KEVIN!!! :) charice is cool, she has a really great voice! and i LOVE john stamos! ♥

  • max adler looks good there ahahah

  • Glee now becomes one of the most watched tv shows. watch all the episode at justaired(dot)com.

  • IPOD HAHAH ;3

  • Glee should bring back the Jane Adams girls. I'm in love with the one with the big afro, if any of yall knows her name please let me know..

  • Her nationallity shouldn't matter, She's an amazing singer. That's all that people should care about

  • Her nationallity shouldn't matter, She's an amazing singer and that's all that counts

  • "Pop star Charice also joins the cast, playing the ***nerdy*** Sunshine Corazon who is a big fan of Rachel Berry (Lea Michele). "Sunshine is kind of like a shy type," Charice said of her character. Michele described working with the singer as "wonderful.""

***Uhh, excuse me? That's just how we dress. We like our hello kitty, and those movie 3D glasses w/ the lens caps popped out? <3

  • to all pinoys, stop saying "i'm proud to be pinoy" ALL THE TIME ur making us sound desperate and in need of attention, im a filipino too who is proud of seeing other filipino excel, but express your feelings in other way rather than braggin here. now that filipinos are starting to be known more as a nation because of people like charice doesnt mean we can start boast about our nationality. dont mean to stop, just dont do it ALL THE TIME!

  • @kinno5 oh and to the people dissin' filipinos u all are just tards. i agree with Duckypie06. were not braggin, were not a well known country hence acknowledgement is a big deal to SOME of us. we have to work hard in order to get most out of life and im pretty sure charice worked really hard to achieve her dream, a professional singer!!! so dont hate! and please pinoys no more proud this proud that......anyway.. I LOVE GLEE!!!!

  • 7 seconds ago to all who hated the phrase "proud to be pinoy (Filipino)".. please just understand them.. coz it's not always there's a Filipino making it big internationally.. unlike the Americans it's pretty normal for them to be famous and known worldwide when there's also celebrities out of the US which are as talented as them!! so just comprehend and don't hate.. it;s not like they're bragging..

  • Comment removed

  • OMG this is embarrassing! iPod touch, really! i'm very frugal! very frugal! LOL!!! is he gay??

  • @Duckypie06 he plays a gay guy in the show...ill let u do the math

  • @kinno5 haha! solved!

  • I hate it when people always say Asian. There's nothing wrong about being Asian. It is just that people from the West tend to generalize things. Asia has many countries. Can they not simply say Filipino, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese etc???

  • Charice.. nice line!

  • who the hell is that guy at 1:18

  • @johootly That's the asshole on the McKinley(or however its spelled idc) who bullies everyone... Everybody hates him lol

  • Comment removed

  • @selenaforever1997 hey im not filipino but i agree!

PLEASE STOP POSTING HATEFUL COMMENT.. OR the world will hate you back!

  • @jetlog783 it was not hateful i was just pissed... sorry ha... hindi ko kasi maintindihan ang iba dahil tayo ay iba sa kanila and parang ayaw ko kasi na insultuhin ang mga pinoy... dahil sa pagiging pinoy kasali na rin tayo eh...

  • @selenaforever1997 well, judging by your text you don't seem a very joyful person.

  • wtf are those people saying "proud to be pinoy'.. just be proud of yourself, if you had done something. or if you appreciate someone just give the credit to who he/she is.

not because of being a filipino

btw have you seen american, japanese, australian or any other countries speak up and claim for their ethnicity.?

these country had done a lot of contribution/success but have you seen at least one claim for their ethnicity???

just like what @Charless55661 says 'STRIVE FOR YOUR OWN SUCCESS'

  • @akaneshi08 agree!! dt PTBF thing suckzzzzzzzzz!!

    go go charice!!!!

  • @akaneshi08 lol.. it's not like people in the US say "i'm proud to be American!"... but in fairness.. let it pass please... because it's not always there's a Filipino making it big internationally.. unlike the Americans it's pretty normal for them to be famous and known around the world.. just understand that!

  • WHAT @Gleekster11 said to filipinos: >>>> It's a 3rd world Country, filled with corruption and people with NO sense of humor... Basically they're just a bunch of unhappy crabs! Oh, and BTW - if it wasn't for your peoples demeanor - then Charice would have a lot more International fans!!! You guys turn others off to her! Yeah - "PINOY PRIDE"... Way to go idiots!<<<<< whats your problem??.youre judging us filipinos bcuz of the goverment problems?.. RACIST..whos the idiot now...you seem UNEDUCATED

  • @100iluvashley when someone fails to identify an individual as an individual who deserves credits for their personal achievements, then I hope people can see that this person lacks credibility in his judgments.

  • I love how Chris and Heather didn't spend that much. Makes them even more awesome.

  • I hate all 'Proud to be x' comments, whether it be filo, Aussie, gay, Jew. Especially concerning race or ethnicity. There's really nothing to be proud of, it's just a part of who you are. It's like saying 'Proud to have brown eyes!!'

I'm a filo in Australia, btw.

  • @88Featured I cannot agree more. Some people, even though it's a positive feeling (pride), would convenient identify with an individual, conveniently connecting themselves with such person through shared yet unrelated traits (to the achievements). I always find that kind of weird.

  • uuhh...yeah it irritate me too. just be proud of yourself... that's YOU. not you being a filipina..

  • "i am proud to be filipino" fuck no.. charice , her own success is her own.. why would anyone give a shit to her success and call them selves proud to be pinoy? fuck you.. strive for your own success...

  • 0:48 ahahah ipod touch

  • I enjoy watching Charice's talent and journey in the entertainment world.

I am an American of Filpino ancestry. Its nice to see a Filipina, who is also a crossover international performer/rising star doing well. She is a good role model for young people of all backgrounds. I'm not quite sure why other Filipinos/ Pinoys see her as a complete extension of themselves and claim, "Pinoy Pride", or "Proud to be Filipino." Admire her as an individual, her success is her own.

  • Lmao, I am proud to be alive, i don't give a shit that I am half white and half persian. Anyone who is proud of their race needs a reality check and understand that all people can achieve greatness.

Charice is amazing, and her filipino heritage makes her different from most amazing singers, but it doesn't make her better. Her own talent makes her better.

  • im a filipino but i admit phrases like "I'm proud to be a filipino" are getting in my nerves. c'mon, be humble guys...let's just be proud of Charice.

  • Lea's voice is so cute..hehe

  • I'm so proud of you Charice.... we have same age pero graveh ka talaga!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooo we love u so much <3

  • I'm so proud of you Charice.... we have same age pero graveh ka talaga!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooo we love u so much <3

  • no chord. :(

  • we love cha!

  • no one care for what charice act.thats her personality so who care i proud to say im a pilipina like her. and thats the prove why all the pilipino is so very talentend. so charice take your time and grab all of that. insicure leads you to death ok

  • @helenabangbang We all love charice but please watch your grammar next time.

    No offense

  • @highlander012 What do you mean no offense??lol You just offended a person right there..lol Agree though.:)

  • @helenabangbang

Just because Charice is successful does that mean "You're proud to be a Filipino"?

Seriously, success is not related with nationality. Analyze what you said my dear.

  • @nataliaoaks143

success is not related with nationality? maybe other nations do not consider the success of their fellow countrymen as their own success..but certainly, filipinos aren't like that...

see some of charice's interviews..she is a proud filipina and so am i..and so are the filipinos.. simply because, the success of one is the success of all.

she attributes her success to the filipino people for supporting her..and so i can proudly say that her success is related to her nationality..

  • @zaizai12

The idea of "I'm proud to be Filipino" regarding to Charice's success is completely irrelevant. The idea is exclusive to the Filipinos alone. But when a foreigner hears that it would appear to them as a racist and somewhat bragging that they are better than anyone

A foreigner who PERFORMS in the Philippines would never dare to say "I'm proud to be an American" for they know that it would incite racism. Analyze the statement. The phrase is utterly inappropriate.

  • @nataliaoaks143

being proud is different from being boastful.. saying who you are is not equal to saying who they are..just like when one says "i am tall" it doesn't mean you are small..it's simply knowing who you are and acknowledging its existence.. A pessimist would automatically think of racism or bragging upon hearing those words..but he who is open-minded wouldn't mind the same..they may even celebrate with you.

  • @zaizai12

Your line of reasoning is irrelevant. Analyze the statement bitch. That's why most country doesn't take the Philippines seriously because most of you are arrogant.

The statement may be positive to you Filipinos. But to the other country its boasting. And also its her SUCCESS not yours. Don't ride on her wagon like saying "I'm proud to be a Filipino" you make it sound like as if the WHOLE COUNTRY did it when its not its hers alone.

No its not open mindedness its ignorance.

  • @nataliaoaks143 i agree with you,, i am a filipino. but yes it's different. i don't like it too when someone says they are proud to be pinoy when some else let's say charice become successful. ., that is a filipino. maybe you can say you are proud to be a filipino if in some reasons someone criticized your tradition but still be proud that you're a filipino and with your tradition..

  • @zaizai12

There is an appropriate time and place to say "I'm proud to be Filipino". But this time it has nothing to do with her. First of all, its not the Philippines who discovered her in Hollywood, its Oprah in America.

It would be more appropriate and POLITE to say "I'm proud for you Charice" instead of "proud to be pinoy" they are two off-shoot terms. The PHRASE might be positive to you Filipinos only but consider what foreigners might think about. Its being ignorant and arrogance.

  • @nataliaoaks143

haha! u called me bitch..i'm getting into u'r nerves and i like that coz ur education can't hide it. as i have said, pessimist, racist, and the like would think that it is arrogance. so i'd rather talk to the open-minded otherwise it would be a waste of time. it would have been an interesting discussion if not inserted with unpleasing word. atleast u twisted my mind a bit.

  • @zaizai12

so what if I call you bitch? does that make me uneducated? where's the logic in that? get a new act :P

its kind of cute that you still parade your ignorance even if you know your philosophy about relating talent with race.... sorry girl I beat you in your own turf

a lot of people agreed with me so beat it :3

I'd rather talk to an open-minded and smart person than some educated wannabes :3

  • @nataliaoaks143

hahaha my goodness.. absolutely it doesn't make u uneducated ..it's just that, you act like one.. u beat me? hahaha aryt! be with the mob... the majority doesn't always make the minority wrong ^^, quality over quantity

  • @zaizai12

oh off course from what you said is true that a mob can't justify a minority.... but I know that my philosophy was right... what's uneducated with that? :P

  • KURT!!!!!!!!!!! charice <3

  • Lea Michelle, thanks for your kind words about CHARICE. Glee is awesome!!!

  • PLZ BRING SUNSHINE BACK TO NEW DIRECTIONS NOWWW

  • I wanna be on Glee and get that paycheck =D Houses cars, ipod touches =p ahh the life of the rich and famous. this season is looking awesome

  • What is Charice saying?

    " I'm gonna be like a fatter rachel berry there..and rachel's gonna be....naaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!"

  • @carabutz14 "gonna be lika a FAN of rachel berry there..."

  • @carabutz14 she said "i'm gonna be a fan of rachel berry there and rachel's gonna be *imitates a snarling cat*"

  • What is Charice saying?

  • why is Lea Michele getting so skinny she was gorgeous now she looks way too thing it looks horrible!

  • Wow, it took only a year and now Charice could speak like a regulat american teen...She did worked hard on that accent, and she somehow was able to conquer it..good for you charice.

  • @IAMSODONE1 it's only natural for most filipinos especially around that age to speak it fluently in such a short time. I remember only taking about 6 months to get used to it. It's required for schools to teach english from like kindergarten and many tv shows are already in english. Standing in front of a crowd however is something else entirely so props to charice on that

  • Comment removed

  • @angelarain sry i wouldn't say fluently, I was thinking of a better word to describe it but nothing was going inside my head at the time. I would say though that a lot of Filipinos would at least understand English and can communicate even if their grammar and accent is not quite right. I could consider myself middle class growing up, and many of my peers said they could hardly detect an accent in my voice...this is 5 months after i first came to America

  • @angelarain i beg your pardon?? i am not rich her in Phil but im fluent in English,, it's not being rich silly,, and about the accent thing.. that would be a HA HA HA !!! what the hell, silly thoughts of yours,, and a micro size of brain, how lame...

  • Comment removed

  • @angelarain That's coming from a girl who can't even spell 'your' and 'right' correctly.

No offense but I don't think it's right for you to correct her English when yours isn't really that good... For me fluency doesn't depend on living standards, I mean, I'm pretty fluent but I'm only 13, I have never gone to US and I'm not rich. :)

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @angelarain But you could at least type it correctly, I mean, you say you're from UP, so at least you'd want to make a better impression. Because UP is a really good university and I don't think anyone wants people to have the impression that UP students write in 'text form'. Besides, how am I supposed to know how many contests you've won... It's just a comment, don't take it too hard, I really didn't mean to offend. :)

  • @FujoshiKira You said it yourself. "It's just a comment" Making comments here isn't the same as writing in a formal way.

anyways, it seems your good in English. You also have meaningful comments unlike others :)

  • @angelarain Yeah, but it doesn't really look right to me... xD Stupid pet peeves... Thank you. :D English is my first language... So I guess I'm better in English than in Filipino...

  • @ladygreen03 yah... blah! blah! hell i care f ur with honors and everything... daw alinganga ka.. try to understand that,, haha

  • Comment removed

  • @ladygreen03

hahahhahah...tsaka kase yan mga yan kaya ganyan girl...heheheh

  • @ladygreen03

This is funny saying you're fluent in english when you clearly don't have a grasp on proper punctuations and correct usage of the period and comma. You type like a 12 year old. You're lame.

BTW, I'm Filipino but english is my first language. I didn't grow up in this shithole of a country. No offense, but this place is going for the worse.

  • @angelarain fleunt in english are those from rich ? so u mean smart americans are from rich family only? what a bull.....!

  • Is it only I who noticed the eerieness of Charice performing at The Fort in Mckinley Hill and her now being a part of Mckinley High Glee club ? Noticed the places are both named Mckinley. She meant to be there (at Glee).

  • @tecknicous Woww I didn't see her perform their.

    But yes, eerie

  • u could know how much talent fee they received when they told what they purchased in their first pay check for season 2 roles. chaeice talent fee is unrevealed.
