So, it appears the statute had run on the felony in 2009 or 2010. Second, a lawyer gives information and advice; however, the client makes the decisions. Further, has she been deported? Yes, you can't scream lower someone in court. And I wouldn't want this jackass pissing off the judge, jury, or me.

Do you believe Allred forced her to turn over the letter or do a press conference at gunpoint? She was aware she had an immigration problem when she made the false statement. She was aware when she went to Whitman, and she was aware when she hired a lawyer who specialized in immigration law. She was also aware she'd made a false statement. The client makes the decisions.

If the statute of limitations had expired the housekeeper was *not* exposed to a felony charge. I still have to look more into that myself. @samuils Yes. I listened to the whole thing. To begin, I'm looking for a legal second opinion--of a lawyer. But the general statue of limitations on federal crime is 5 years from date of commission. So, it appears the statute had run on the felony in 2009 or 2010. Second, a lawyer gives information and advice; however, the client makes the decisions. Further, has she been deported? Yes, you can't scream lower someone in court. And I wouldn't want this jackass pissing off the judge, jury, or me.

Do you believe Allred forced her to turn over the letter or do a press conference at gunpoint? She was aware she had an immigration problem when she made the false statement. She was aware when she went to Whitman, and she was aware when she hired a lawyer who specialized in immigration law. She was also aware she'd made a false statement. The client makes the decisions.

@newdarnaccount I think she was peaved at Whitman and wanted to expose her. (b) The expiration of the the statute of limitations is a complete defense to a criminal charge. If the statute of limitations had expired the housekeeper was *not* exposed to a felony charge. I still have to look more into that myself. But she made the statement in 2000 and exposed herself in 2009 or 2010. And it appears the crime was commited when she made the statement or when it was mailed to the government.

If the housekeeper got money--beyond back wages, that would, of course, excuse Whitman from being wilfully or recklessly blind to the fact she employed an illegal alien--not. For the housekeeper's sake, I hope she did get a large sum of money.
