hmm... Wouldn't it have been more accurate if Kabal had stayed good instead of turning evil in Deception since it was the forces of evil, namely Shao Kahn's extermination squads that caused him to be deformed and led to his disfigurement? It's just a thought.

In Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks I saw Kabal without his mask he's face is a human with long sideburns , I like that Kabal is Good than Evil.

For those who Don't know. Kabal's mask is a respirator. He was on the verge of death after Kahns extermination sqauds ambushed him and the Black Dragon. He was barely alive, his clan wasn't. The BD created a special mask for him to wear to keep him breathing. Thus the Birth of the new KAbal. In Shoalin Monks you meet Kabal before the attack. Yes he is English.

At the time this cartoon was produced he was good. He only became evil in MK Deception which was produced quite a few years later.

Kabal fights kind of on a nutruel side depending on who it is. Now like MK said, in Deception they placed him as "Evil" due to the fact that he was leader of the Black Dragon.

Kabal used to be evil with the Black Dragon then left in his MK 3 bio, then turned good became a Chosen Warrior fighting against evil/crime...but then when Mavado later on nearly killed him, took his hookswords he came across Havik. Who convinced him to turn evil again, become the new leader of the Black Dragon clan he once left and is evil again in MK D's storyline thru current.

Aww, this is the Very Special Episode in which the gang learns to tolerate and accept horribly disfigured people. XD It made me really like Kabal, I was sad when he turned evil in the later games.

Actually, yes, Kano was retconned from American to Australian in tribute to the actor who played him in the movie.
