Sorry, im a realist. This was such an awkward slow-motion collision, I wasn't that impressed when I saw it. Subban clearly half-jumped over Ovechkin trying to avoid a crushing hit, rolling over him. Ovechkin also let up a lot. So weird to watch

ovi and caps are struggling but no question were tougher and 10 times better on pk and defense which is more important. tomorrow's game in tb is huge i think eventually we'll have a breakout game and that will open up our offense more, i hope so at least. Ovechkin is still a great player, despite what stupid people say. go caps.

As a Habs fan I must admit that Subban has a habit of turning his back whether he is delivering a hit or taking one. Still, gotta give Ovechkin credit on two counts: 1) It was a good clean hit and, 2) I believe that Ovechkin actually let up on the hit and could have done some serious damage... he let Subban off easy.

@hughesn0835 as much as i hate crosby, it annoys me when people take a hip check from a physical player and use that as a reason for why a playmaker/best current NHL player sucks. that would be like saying a fork sucks because it cant scoop up liquid like a spoon. ovi can hit but crosby can win Cups and, unfortunately, Gold Medals.

@BrianStokalev crosby didnt win stanley cups or gold medals, the teams he was on did. Ovechkin has won more individual medals than crosby. Crosby can see the ice very well, which is why can get a lot of goals around the net, bit ovi is overall a better player
