how to get java6 to play runescape and other things on ubuntu

How the hell did you enter the password on the Terminal for Sudo.. Everytime I try it dosn't let me type anything.. Sorry, I just got my new computer and it's Linux Ubuntu.. Please help me D;

sorry for late response, but what do u mean? u have to type sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk not just sudo. and if u play runescape add me "ubuntu noobz"

@Tehnoob00 in the terminal? when you are requested your password in terminal it doesnt show, just type in your password and press Enter. Like this if it helped.

what do u mean? after u typed sudo atp-get install sun-java6-jdk then type y for yes? it downloads and installs automatic in front of u in terrminal..

It said that something crashed in the middle of the installation process. :(

sorry i change my password so my brother cant use my computer and i forgot it. XD sorry for late response. but anyways. when did it say crashed ?

It's okay. Anyways, it said I had a crash error about 3/4 of the way through installing, and has been bugging me since then. I tried to open up Add/Remove Applications, and that wouldn't let me open it. :(

ok i used recordmydesktop-gtk to record, and if u search java6 in synaptic packge manager what all do u see? green,white,or red squares?, if there red mark them for re-instillation and post back what u get.
