  • pretty funny, just getting on stage would be tough i think

you could enter this into one of those online comedy contests, like yobi laugh

  • Thanks, it was easier than I thought it would be, once I got rollin'

Glad ya liked it and I'll check out the online thing you suggested.

  • Great stuff. Kind of reminds me of the old Steve Martin riffs when he would bring out his banjo to accompany his comedy. Wonderful sense of humor John. Delivered well.

    -Tom

  • Thanks so much Tom! I remember the Steve Martin stuff way back then. Funny stuff.

  • John, This is soooo GREAT! Every time I watch it ~ I Love it!:)

  • Thanks so much, Pattyann! I appreciate that so much!

  • That was one of the funniest routines I have ever seen in my life John!!!!

I knew you were mighty funny, but had no idea you were a pro!!!lolol

    Brilliant from start to finish!!!

    WOW

  • Thanks again, John! I can't take credit for all the routines. I borrowed some of it from old comedy bits I recorded years ago. That was a big night for me since I never got up in front of such a big audience. I never got so scared before, and I never got such a rush of exileration after it before either.

  • Hi John. You sure looked pretty calm, cool and collected. I know what you mean though, I was in a number of musical productions at a theatre that held around 200 people, and I was so nervous before it started sometimes, but the rush was so worth it.

    This was so great!!!

  • There was one part at 3:45 where my mind blanked! I totally forgot my next part, and was just strumming the guitar. The terror rose up inside me and the panic was just about to petrify me when I remembered the part. When I watched it later, I realized it was only five seconds long, but on stage it was an eternity!

  • Ha Ha. In a Disney show I forgot the first word of a song I was supposed to sing that was from the Lion Kind ( I was Scar) and I just paced back and forth like a lion until it "finally" came to me. Felt like an eternity!!!! After that night I wrote the first word on my arm every night for 8 nights !! lol no guff!!

  • Really is funny stuff John..LOve it : )

    Rocket

  • Thanks Rob! I wish I would have known about your jokes back then...I would have thrown them in for more laughs!

  • LMAO!! right on John!! *****

  • Thanks Canajian!

  • This is as funny as anything on tv! Five stars and saving to my favourites.

  • Thanks Teruko! I think the quality is better on the one I sent you, but this one has the guitar dubbed in so it would be a bit louder.

They didn't have a guitar mic for me on stage.

  • I'm a Springsteen and Dylan fan and I couldn't stop laughing! Thanks for posting this. Five and favourited.

  • Thanks for requesting it, and savin' it!

I'm a big Dylan and Springsteen fan also, so I figure I can have a little fun with 'em.

  • Absolutely totally hilareous.

  • Thanks BC and Billo! Glad ya liked it!

  • Wow, you're really very funny! Musician, songwriter, comedian....any other talents on your list? ;)

Yeaaa!! KQRS! Now I am really homesick again, John! I didn't know you're in MN. Excellent job on this! (Got any more?)

  • Thanks Molly! I appreciate that. This was the only comedy thing I did that I have on video. I had to hound the guy in charge for a year to get the clip of this. I would really miss KQ if I ever left Minnesota. Love the morning show.

  • I really enjoyed this John, you were funny and did a GREAT job, my friend....RT

  • Thanks so much, Ronnie! I appreciate that and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Very polished performance my friend lol. Very funny, Excellent in fact.

  • Thanks so much, Classican! I practiced it at home until I could do it in my sleep. During one part, my mind went blank, but a couple seconds later, it came to me. Scary moment!

  • holy crap, it was "It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry" I didn't even think it was a song the first time, lol.

  • Thanks Danny, yea, that was an actual Dylan tune. One of my favorites too.

My computer didn't accept the code ya gave me. Thanks anyway though. I finally found mine....on a label stuck to the bottom of the laptop! It was under my nose the whole time!

  • oh man, that was great !

  • LOL That was great John! I think musical comedians are the best.

  • Thanks Rob! I figured I had an edge cause I was the only one who mixed in the music.
