@selfmademiilionare DN-s3000 can be used on Virtual Dj only with time code CDs and an audio interface (1 Input & Output per control deck)

@djtavi77 yep no timecode cd, the sound come out form the dns1200 but you can use your computer sound card and leave the dns1200 for control only too

I only have two USB ports on my laptop. If I plug two of these dn-s1200's in to the ports, I am out of space. Can I use a USB hub without messing up the function of the USB sound card? Is there a way to link one player to the other and only use 1 usb port?

@mon3104 you can use it for control only or use your computer sound card for master and the dns1200 sound interface as monitor switching it with the tab key to monitor each VDJ deck channel.

Unfortuantly no it doesnt come with the USB port and it is discontinued but you can still buy them cheap

yea go to CONFIG and click on remote controls..your suppose to see many players and consoles but look for the denon dn s1200 , right click and click activate then it should work..make sure its on pc mode though

when the dns1200 is connected in pc mode, does the audio go out from the dns1200 or ur laptop? I am saying this because i wish to use a mixer with two dns1200's, with the dns1200's connected to my laptop.

each dns1200 player is recognized by virtualDJ as a separate audio interface, so the audio comes out from the players nor the PC. you have to install them as audio interfaces with supplied ASIO drivers.

OK I'VE FIGURED OUT HOW TO USE BOTH DENON 1200'S WITH VIRTUAL DJ

You need to connect both directly to your laptop (or pc)

make sure you set one denon to "midi ch 1" and the other to "midi ch 2" (hold down memo until you can surf thru the menu)

then when thats done ... click on the source button and choose "PC" mode

from there go to virtual dj and click config

input: none (dont choose timecode)

output: external mixer

Serato, torx? None! I've just connected the DNS1200 directly to the pc with an USB cable an set it up as a midi controller

Yes I've configured my 2 dns 1200 on my computer using Traktor 3.4 and virtual dj

They works nice but not exactly like "normal" use. I still prefer mixing with cd or mp3

well virtual dj is only useful to transfer music from pc cd player, but to control your music you got to use external mixer that is hooked up to your denon via rca cables
