  • this is one of montgomery clift's best movies.

  • I was born in 1950. All my life I've heard about her. she dominated the tabloids in the 50's and 60's. It was her and richard burton. her and countless others, over and over again. Now that she's gone I'm devestated. In her 20's she was the most beautiful woman of all time

  • a tad bit over-orchestrated.

  • Lovely Elizabeth Taylor was 16 going on 17 during the filming of this motion picture: a film that should be MANDATORY for all teenagers ... no matter their orientation: magnificent ... FABLE quality; among the best films ever made anywhere ... to date.

  • Elizabeth Taylor -- even ACKNOWLEDGED herself ... in her own Jewelry Book -- that (as confirmed in my own face-to-face meeting her) her EYES are NEITHER and never were ... violet nor any hue or tone thereof -- her eyes were celadon aka in the GREEN hue and tone pigment reflective color space. So why Paul Newman obviates that point ... rates stupid, evasive and permits the continuation of what a press agent had cooked up long ago -- a bogus claim; compounded, too, by filters, airbrushing & P.S.!

  • i live on big moose lake hahaha yay for death!

  • I miss classic holly wood beautys. she was the last remaining one r.i.p look now its full of plastic surgefied overrated flesh flashing celebrities like megan fox shes soo over rated and i dont understand why they think plastic surgery makes them look beautiful when plastic surgery makes them look disgusting. puffed up faces and fish lips

  • Should be shown in high school. To warn guys how ugly girls will try to trap you.

  • Shelly was such an oporttunist in this flick. I'm a big fat leach looking to be taken care of with your spawn in me...I'll tell!!!!!!

  • My only Jaw dropping beauty so far

  • God is now in good company

  • I loved this movie. RIP Elizabeth. You're star will always shine!

  • i would have totally killed shelly winters for a shot at elizabeth taylor!!

  • RIP to a true legend. Say hi to Michael for me.

  • wonderful movie. loved every bit, and Monty is SO SEXY! dark ending tho, I cried

  • Does anyone know where this movie is set or where it was filmed? Thank you.

  • @WessCNY lake tahoe nevada, and LA i think cascade lake too?

  • @WessCNY its suposed to take place near big moose lake in ny

  • i think istead of shelley winters it should have been barbara bel'geddes

  • Elizabeth Taylor was always late for movie sets, first to make a million, threw tantrums, glamour queen, larger-than-life celebrity, drop dead gorgeous, animal lover, enough said. She made it, while others are long forgotten, and she is still around to tell about it. She is 77 years old and in a wheel chair now, and remains this diamond-collecting diva with a vibrant personality. She deserves her place in our out of the sun.

  • @feelgoodaboutit You forgot National Velvet, starring Liz Taylor and Mickey Rooney. Knut the Polar Bear died in a Berlin Zoo around the same time as Elizabeth Taylor exited stage left. And Liz and Michael Jackson are best friends forever.

  • @missbabyice wrong

  • It was just a melodrama; there just didn't seem to be any point to it. I'm sure all three actors have done better films, certainly Elizabeth Taylor.

  • @missbabyice

    wrong

  • Great movie! Except for stupid Shelley Winters ruining everything... ;>)

  • Well Shelley Winters was taken care of wasn't she

  • a beautiful woman a handsome man. friends forever
