Hi, I started playing when I was 19 but wasn't really any good at all for quite a time. 27 certainly isn't too old to start but yes, you will need plenty of time, persistance and patience. Once you play your first two or three chords together you will never look back. Go for it!! Thanks!!

Great! hard to copy as Edges tuning at times is a semi tone lower and the delay timings dont help either! often play half of what you need to as the echo / repeat plays the other half.

i mean, there litterally is no delay in this song, if any, verrry little like, miliseconds between echoes .. i listen to the U2three version and the boy version, there really is no delay in that song at all. Edge only now does it live jus like you are, maybe not quite so much effect .. like, are you using a pedal? if so, turn the "effect" down to about half or, a quarter .. hope this helped .. .and try having a listen to thos first early recording to see what i mean

I suppose it depends on what version you listen to. Edge DOES use the delay in this song, especially in the Slane Castle version, which my input is loosly based on, although my delay is too long, as DingbatBozo pointed out above. As I have said already, I am not happy with this version, I will redo it when I have time, so please bear with me, this isn't the final effort! Chill!!

Again, this and most of the sounds I use are based around the Vox modelling on my GT6 with not too much distortion, although I think a little more wouldn't go amiss. I set the delay to 420ms, which is way too long. I will redo this tune as I'm not at all happy with it.
