yes. you just need to have a proper kickstart rom

there were ways you could run linux db on it, but server was needed, and it wouldn't run on the "commodore version", only the original amiga, "the linux 3d db" was "cool", specially the sysop program.

Not to be pedantic, but no claim is made regarding the kickstart version. Workbench *does* refer to the software stored on the disk - so it is booting Workbench 1.3.

Actually it's 1 of the 2.X series roms coz the menu bar is black instead of white.
