i own a total of 3 cars. 2002 trans am ws6 with air intake open headers and custom slp exhaust jeep srt8 with over 600 hp. and a cobalt ss. out of all of my vehicles the cobalt is one of a kind
When Chevy replaced the very old, straight-to-rental Cavalier with the Cobalt for 2005, it was touted as a Honda Civic-killer. It barely matched the retrograde 2001-2005 Civic, and was on the trailer a year later when the class-leading '06 Civic made its debut.
I also just put a Flomaster 40 series on my cobalt, cat back 2.5 inch custom pipe but we eliminated the resinator. I put a smaller tip but it sounds really nice, I posted a video if your interested.
I don't how this comment got voted +4, but its way wrong.
Internals should be looked at in the lower 300s just in case, I have no doubt that a properly tuned LSJ could hold 350 without a hiccup on the stock bottom end.
@Taz7000 ur an idiot my buddy had a harrop tvs sc 2.7 in pulley and suppoting mods was making 325 whp had it on for 20k before going turbo never had any problems just had to upgrade the clutch.
@cutegumbygurl is that on an ls or an ss? the reason being is that an ss bottom end is forged unlike an ls which he said he had so you are the dumbass! oh and 325 on a tvs and a 2.7 get a better tune!

HAHA he still has the catalytic converter on what a fag.....i have a @09 Cobalt LS and i put a performance exhaust on, removed the catalytic converter, and installed an HKS turbo and also HKS intercooler and its running almost 350hp and roughly 300 lb-ft torque
since when did a 150 power inline 4 gain almost 200 horsepower from a turbo and intercooler alone? the exhaust might get you 30 or so but without a CAI i doubt it..
Hey man, sounds good. Question...did you start it up cold? I too have a flowmaster muffler and found that if you let it warm up you'll have a much better sound. A cold start up results in a tin can sound...never good.
hey man do u still own your cobalt? do you still get to listen the sc whine with this muffler? i'm about to get one for myself

Is that a big enough outlet man? haha

whats the point of having a big tip if your internals are much smaller than it? defeats the purpose of exhaust flow

Gymkhana43 you say you have a ls i hope your motor is bulit because the stock pistions can only handle about 250hp safely before they go boom!

I love how this sounds. I am going to buy one of these now! Did you buy the dual offset muffler, or the center inlet and offset outlet?

Sounds good. Better than other aftermarket Cobalt exhausts I've heard!
