  • Slovers porting service Prepared heads

  • I would swear i remeber a mustang named stampede from o.c.i.r. days, but it was white. Different car?

  • @nova9490 huh?

  • awesome machine absolutely love it.i have to say also that ford made not 3 different 427s,but 5.427 low riser,427 medium riser,427 hi riser,427 tunnel port, and 427 single overhead cam.

  • hey larry, its roger ross 's little brother, wow just came across your car on the tube, i saw this car run when i was a punk kid, man it still goes like heck, ill stop by next trip to ca. and say hi. roger

  • late 63 406 fe were cross bolts..........427 was 425 cubes do the math 4.23 by 3.78 no your ford

  • late 63 406 fe were cross bolts..........

  • The Chev 427 was NOT an upgrded 409. The 409 was a "W"series truck engine. The 427 was an enlarged 366 truck engine. The 427 Ford featured cross bolted main bearing saddles, the "FE" 406 did not. People that will put different engines into modern chassis are lunk heads. Chev never won races like Lemans, Sebring or Monte Carlo. Nor did they ever build a car like the MK1V,GT40 or the "J" car that ran a 427 at 7000 rpm around the clock.

  • so why am I seeing so many Mustangs with Chev engines in them???they are all over Pinks...what a disgrace...

  • @raginroadrunner You know the 427 was also a Ford motor, right?

  • @lmafia9009 Ford made 3 different 427 Cubic inch engines.....Top oiler,Cammer and side oiler....1963,1964 and 1965 respectively

  • @68bobba Right. The other person asked why they were seeing so many Mustangs with Chevy motors in them. Was making sure that they knew that Ford also made a 427, not just Chevy.

  • @raginroadrunner ford made the 427, the real deal with real power, not a typical hey its a chevy engine.

  • Good job Earl!

  • does that thing have a cammer?

  • How tuff is that old girl ??

Thats old school baby, and thats why jap imports will never cut it...

  • @stu460 Why jap imports will never cut it? You mean the ricers? We're talking classic, old-school Detroit power here, dude! The imports may have a lot of newfangled technology for racing but Detroit iron still reigns supreme in overall market value!

  • @AAVista No you miss understood me,,re read what i wrote.....

Jap cars mean nothing to me,no heritage no history, absolutely nothing..

  • I'ts great to see Larry is still active in drag racing. I knew him years ago and have pictures of this car when it was being lettered STAMPEDE. Great car and a great friend from the past.

    Ya Doggies,

  • I absolutely have to say, this car is bad ass, I have a 65 coupe that I want want to re-create the "Hemi-Haunter" with but I need to see some good pics of front suspension-I refuse to do a "modern F/E"...Stampede is Awesome, lets see more!!!!

  • @MrStraightline1320 We run Moparious Maximus its here on you tube. We are looking for people to match race with. Car should meet the look and entent of the old A/FX cars. By the way it aint a hemi but we run in the low 8s and have run a 7.99

  • Earl is a legend. That man is pure knowledge, and skill. He is also a total class act, and I am glad to know him, too.

  • Earl's a bad mammel!...a hero of mine for many years.

  • shit, that's a fuckin' Mammoth engine!

  • Thats because Earl built it. And if you didnt know, he is a badass! I got to help him put a motor together a few months ago. It was only like 900 or so HP. He calls those sewing machine motors...lol

  • Great car, and one hell of a good guy who

    owns it.

  • I remember years ago when we drove the Mustang to Lion's Dragstrip when it was stock with a 289......what a transition...needless to say it's come a long way...

  • I've had the honor or actually riding in this car....Larry's my dad'd bff lol .I love itttt!
