its easier with an older rabbit. and dont lift the tail like that especially on a female, you can stretch out her genitals and cause major pain. flip her over, and with two fingers palpate just above the genitals. tip: cover its eyes before you do that. they like the dark and tend to be calmer

Wow.. poor rabbit. To properly look at a rabbit's genitals you should have it on it's back, either cradled in one arm, or kneeling with the rabbit between your legs. This is stressful for the rabbit as well, so make sure it's calm before you have a peek.
