  • Kyo lo mejor wn!!!...el mejor cantante que existe!!!...no hay comparacion...It's a fucking god!!!

  • this kyo guy is shit. joe duplantier is a man and he has a way better voice. kyo's just a puny wanna be

  • @railgun099

Kyo es mucho mejor cantante que Joe Duplantier y mas original XD Joe duplantier es demasiad tipico

  • kyo looks like a child between this men :D

  • can you tell how much fun kyo's having?

  • sorry he is still a fag. since apparently he is a man.

  • This is why he is the best singer in the world

Just listen to some old and new Songs of Dir en grey....

No one will ever reach his level

  • i'd give anything to sound half as good as Kyo this songs awesome

  • holy shizh, his voice is so.. evil, it's awsome, but i still rather the album version :D

  • ha ha ha my comment is for you avampiresdance....his name is KYO and he is from DIR EN GREY! he is incredibly talented and has one of the most beautiful voices you will ever hear!.........so STFU!

  • @redwood0733

have him STFU then i'll be happy. kthxbai. jap fuck

  • that asian chic or man can not sing.

that's not what i call metal.

AND to all you dumb ass'

VIKINGS are from Norway. not Finland.

    1. I lived in Norway

    2. I'm an anthropology/archeology major

    3. Check your facts.& that asian dude/chic is what metal heads like to call: pussy ass metal.

  • @AVampiresDance do research on Kyo before you open your trap. his voice is the most amazing voice ever, he can sing so beautifully. look Dir En Grey up before you make yourself sound so stupid.

  • @AVampiresDance he better then any vocalist ur brain can muster up to think of

  • @1019129114

listen to sharon den andel. then you might rethink that comment. not to mention i do covers. so vocalist wise...i 'can muster up' a few thoughts.

  • @AVampiresDance r u serious ok so she can sing good but no even close the range to wat kyo has not even nearly close to hav the range kyo does is truely a gift i cant tel u how many ppl hav told me its impossible to maintain a singing voice n a death metal style its nearly impossible any vocal teacher wil tell u that u hav not shown me anything new

  • @1019129114

i iz seriouz k. chex ur spulling man. you have some serious typo's. this isn't a text message. mmmkkkay?

  • @AVampiresDance dude i am not going to type a damn essay. this is youtube. im too lazy spell shit out all the way. come to my english class and lecture me but not on the internet that just hurts ma feelings when i cant type relaxed

  • @AVampiresDance wel i am bummed for ur selection of singers my singer is better then urs by a long shot ur singer sings high bcuz shes a girl but my singer sings high bcuz he has talent n practice u hav lost this arguement shut up woman make me a fucking sandwich i like fries with em too

  • @1019129114

LOL i didnt even say what 'singers' i like. I listen to black metal so take your fucking ass back to 'i cantz spells land' u stil cnt spell. Do you even read what you write? Yes i'm sure you would like fries with your sandwhich because you probably stuff your fat ass face with it. I think you've lost this argument. And as I can see from your error you probably didn't finish high school. If you read my previous comments, I'm an anthropology major, I getting a PHD. hehe FUCK OFF FAG

  • @AVampiresDance i am in high skool buttface plus i live in bellevue so my education is proley almost equivalent to urs im jus saying she doesnt hav the range kyo does broseph

  • @AVampiresDance His style is what I like to call passion. I've never seen any other vocalist that could pull me into a song like he does. He's brilliant. I really get something from the music Dir en Grey make, they work so damn hard. They're the reason why I'm getting my life back together. Pussy-ass metal? Gimme a break. =_=

  • @Cass0emoheart

    listen to some dimmu

  • @AVampiresDance Then i want to see YOU sing

  • @Ruzik123

    fine by me.

deal...i'm actually quite good =) do some of the vocals for friends bands whenever they need a female singer.

but i don't want to be a pussy on stage as such. i'd rather have brains.

  • @AVampiresDance

oh horray a genious here >.>

um about vikings , no ones trying to be politically correct or anything . they're jokes.

no one cares about you living in norway..

    and get over yourself >.>

besides i listen to a ton of metal and idk anyone who can do what he does , in technical skill and passion..

tell me a single one , i would love to hear someone better :P

  • The hardest thing for me, facing the fear I live, No one can help me now its under my heart. I'll come to know the living, My demons are inside....I'll bring them all to light!♥ ~Apocolyptica

  • Wow, two of my favourite bands together on stage! (even though it's not all of DEG)

Plus Apocalyptica is from Finland and I'm from Finland too! :D

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa is kyo waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • this is so friggin cool!!! his voice in anything other than dir en grey is really refreshing..

  • I saw this video only because Kyo is there ^^ Kyo is so great *-* I love him. I love Dir en grey - I love Kyo ♥

  • Kyo and Joe together effin rule!!!

  • this song is so epick with kyo singing it XD

  • OMG!!!! waaa cuando mi primo m dijo no le crei!!!! O.O!!!!!!!!! dos d mis bandas favoritas juntas waaaaa I LOVE DIR EN GREY y APOCALIPTICA WAAA son la mera toz

  • wooooa...wtf *___*

  • hirveetä dissaamista apocalyopticaa kohtaa noissa joissain kommissa :D "kyo on liian hyvä apocalypticalle." onhan se hyvä mut c'mon... nää taitaa kaikki kyl olla kyo ja diru faneja eikä niinkään apocalyptica faneja..

  • wow, kyo's performance here was pretty awesome =)

  • Kyo-Sama is so fucking awesome!

  • When I saw a couple years ago he sounded incredible with his vocals. He could make some opera singers blush. he was that good. It was beautiful that range and clarity. He sounds a little edgy but then who knows his state here.

  • YAY KYO YOU FUCKING RULE!

    :D

  • SICK ( best song out of that fucking album)

  • ahahahhahah hahahhah

    oh man

actually Kyo is way to good for them.

He's such a great artist, they can't imagine. but who can

But that scene where Kyo screams and the other guy is "singing" the same lines with a deeper voice is really great.

it would be cool if there was a western artist with such a cool style like him..

  • ahahahhahah hahahhah

    oh man

actually Kyo is way to good for them.

He's such a great artist, they can't imagine. but who can

  • I FUCKING LOVE this little man :)

with all my heart and soul <3

  • splattered my balls. i always told dir en grey is underrated.

  • LOL at "LET'S GO KEEEE-OHHHH.."

  • LOL at "LET'S GO KEEEE-OHHHH.."

  • Fuck. Kyo did great at a duet. That was awesome. :D

  • No manchen, Kyo se ve del tamaño de los intrumentos xDDDD

  • I LOVE YOU DIR EN GREY !!! with all my heart =)

  • Love Kyo's new look :D

  • By listening to this, you can really tell how unique Kyo is as a vocalist. He can change it however he wants and perfect the song because he is so versatile.

  • Fucking good>w< Kyo.xD

  • I love gojira and duplantier but with kyo singing it is also very cool. ;D

  • They definatly need to record a song together

  • I think kyo growling's fine in here, but his vocal just isn't suitable for this song,

  • FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKK!!! IT"S SO intense... Kind of like a double rainbow! :D Do you know if they'll be recording this? By the by, Kyo looks FUCKING A! I had a vision of him with short, black hair and then there he is in an issue of Ongaku to Hito. EPIC!!!

  • People are forgeting, especially Dir en grey fans; It's Apocalyptica FEATURED Kyo, not Dir en grey, just Kyo. And I feel sorry for the Diru fans (wasn't there, but I have been reading comments) who left since both bands are amazing. I may prefer old Diru and I'm not much of a Apocalyptica fan either, but I still would have watched "both" of them.

  • oh hell yes!

  • I LOVE DIRU

  • un super duo (si on peux appeler sa un duo) leurs voix s'accorde vraiment bien j'aime

  • Kyo <3 your AMAZING i loove you to bits!!

this song is good, but Kyo singing with them made it GREAT...the screaming, his voice...epic

wish you had done that for us in Chicago :)

    maybe next time ^____^

He mustve felt very honored !

    damn..KUODS to DIR EN GREY

  • This is awesome. I love Kyo! Thank you so much for uploading this! I wish Kyo would've sang with them in Chicago!

  • Didn't like it at all... Huge fan of Dir en grey, dislike Apocalyptica, the combo really wasn't that good in my opinion... I expected better T_T

  • @kyoxkurenai It was good :o

  • omg thank you so much for taking this! I'm a fan of both bands, was at their Boston show and had so hoped Kyo would do a song with them.... which he didn't... :(

  • While watching this live I couldn't help to think "wow Kyo looks so small compared to these giant vikings" lol.

  • @GazeRock123 actually, he's gotten a lot taller in these few years, cause he's put on some weight too.

  • @SinGabrynth how does one randomly GET TALLER

  • @MsDiplodocus gaining weight. Happened to me too. weird thing is, when I lost weight, I shunk an inch.

  • @GazeRock123 vikings don't come from finland, duh.

  • @lovesouptmr Actually, they do. Anywhere in the Scandinavian peninsula was an origin of vikings.

  • @aronnian sorry they don't... the vikings comes from NORWAY, finland and mostly parts of sweden was a other kind of people, that I can't remember the name of now, and you must remember that it were the golden age of Norway, they controlled big parts of sweden so that the vikings from there also lived in that times norway..

btw, I'm from norway and they learn us a lot about it... and our height isn't small either :p I'm 1,86-88 metres high myself :P maybe more :P long time since I checked it...

  • @GuitarNiimura Well, I'm not THAT well-versed in anything about Northern Europe, but the Scandinavian area has been really interbred.

Also, yeah. Anyone would look really short next to anyone of Scandinavian stock. XD

  • @aronnian even a american would look small against mostly scandinavians....

  • dude, thanks so much for uploading!!

    it's awesome!

  • OMG this is awesome xD

  • People who say the camera work is no good...i don't know...maybe they haven't tried to film during a concert but it's VERY difficult to keep steady. I think you did a great job. And apparently, Dir en grey or whoever runs their myspace thinks so too, because you were linked from their blog. ^_^ Thanks so much for sharing.

  • Did they do this in the show In New York City because I had to leave to get the bus.

  • @Awsome666 No

  • OMG Kyo!! :DD

  • Kyo is so sexy! And his vocals are so fukken amazing!!! I know Apocalyptica wishes he were there permanently! XD

  • thanks so much for this! :D

  • This is great! I love seeing Dir en grey doing something together with another band at last! Kyo is so cool, I think he did really well together with them! Both band rocks!

  • Thank you so much for taking this video!! This is so cool :)

  • I loved Apocalyptica (not the new ones, actually >.<) and I love Dir en Grey, but. I don't like it. ._. Maybe it's because of the quality, but it's not mine personal favourite.

  • Kyo's voice is a killing machine. i hope someday Kyo colaborate with Apocalyptica for a studio recording. Dir En Grey and Apocalyptica rules !!!!!

  • Oh gawd. Oh, yes. Ohh~ YEAH~!

  • How could someone not stay for both of the groups D: I'd tackle who ever left the damn concert just to steal their wristband :)

  • oh my god! I WISH I WAS THERE! the philly concert was awesome but that is just kickass awesome!

  • Kyo is the most awesome guy ever

  • Thanks so much for sharing this video! It's pretty epic!

  • im not a big fan of apocalyptica, but this is awesome! kyo did really good with this, and i was really surprised to see him do something like this. i really wish he would have done it while he was here in st louis lol... then i would have stayed for apocalyptica ._.

but poor kyo was kinda limping to the tour bus about 20 minutes after they got off stage. we managed to catch him and cheer him on [and get a glimpse of a smile :D lol]

  • Oh. My. God.

    This is so awesome!

One of my favorite bands and one of my favorite singers...

and I'm stuck a goddamn OCEAN away.

    Thanks for the upload!

  • tall tall tall tall tall SHORT tall tall tall. My bad. Sounds good.

  • WOW!THANK YOU !!it's great!

  • Any chance there's going to be an official mp3 of this song? I'd totally buy it from iTunes!

  • lol the camera work is fine.. the focusing and unfocusing makes it look EPIC lol xD

-actually because of this video i started listening to apocolyptica and gojira haha

even got their 7th symphony xD

    good job metalassaultLA! lol

  • :( i wanted to go!! >.< but it's too far and they were already in chicago. thanks for uploading this thou. i hear that alot of people left after dir en grey, which is dumb. why leave when u can see two band for the price for one. well not for the price of one cuz it probably costed alot :/ , but still. i would of stayed cuz i like both bands.

  • That's AWESOME!

  • I went to the concert in chicago to see Dir en Grey, but I had listened to a few Apocalyptica songs before & I was looking forward to seeing them..but I couldn't stay for them -_- I had to drive my friend back up to WI so she could be back for an early class the next morning.

Maybe i'm just making an excuse..I just wanted to say that not all the Diru fans are bad i guess? It is rude of us to completely leave after they played. I'm sad i missed them, even if i wouldn't have seen this collab

  • @HillaryHell Yeah you had a good reason and you even looked up the band before. I know a lot of Dir en grey fans that didn't look up Apo before the show and the ones who stayed ended up loving them, and the one's who didn't are asking "Was that other band any good?" Haha.

  • I love both bands and I don't understand the people who left the concert. They should give Apocalyptica at least one chance. They are great artists and don't deserve people who leave their concerts just because they are not japanese or something. I bet if Apocalyptica was japanese, many of the Diru fans would have stayed.

  • Hey did anyone get the last song Dir en Grey played before the encore? I had never heard it before strangely :( Help? 1. Red Soil 2. Agitated Scream Of Maggots 3. Gaika, Chinmoku Ga Nemuru Goro 4. Hageshisa To, Kono Mune No Naka De Karamitsuita Shakunetsu No Yami 5. Obscure 6. Shokubeni 7. Rotting Root 8. Dozing Green 9. Vinushka 10. The Final 11. Reiketsu Nariseba 12. (Unsure about this one) Encore: Zan
  • @EnjoyTheChaos Its called Rasetsukoku from their second album. Great song, I was so happy they played that.

  • @reivunriisa Cool thanks! They started it differently live huh? Threw me off, either way, i'd never heard it, but it was awesome!

  • I HAD to leave early in san fran, to catch the last BART train.. :(

  • Fucking A!

  • Awesome! I can't believe! Kyo has never done a collaboration before! This is fantastic! THANK YOU APOCALYPTICA! Please release this!

  • GREAT O_O

  • As a fan of both bands, this is fucking awesome on so many levels *_* I'm jealous, I was hoping they would do something like this at the Chicago show...

  • @WolfGrapes so was I! The second I saw this I was like well damnit why couldn't this have happened at House of Blues >< would have been amazing

  • i hope Diru and apocolyptica do at least an EP together....that would be tits

  • thats just dandy :)

  • This is really awesome! Geez I'm crying... :( My Prophet... You're the best.

  • song sounds awesome!

  • For all the people who left right after Dir en grey (besides the one's with legit reasons), i'm happy you did because you don't deserve to see this live :P I'm a huge fan of both bands, so I went nuts.

I hate it when people walk out of shows, I think it's really disrespectful.

  • @TBZK I agree. I had to watch Dir En Grey from outside the pit. After they finished, a saw a bunch of people leaving. I asked a guy, 'Hey are you leaving? Can you give me your pit wrist band? I want to see Apocalyptica .. I'm a huge fan'.

Not only was he retarded to leave the show like that, but was rude and didn't give me the wrist band. But thankfully the venue gave me one.

I took this video mainly because it was Apocalyptica's world premiere of this song. But the guest musicians were great.

  • @metalassaultLA I'll never get ppl that won't try out another band- I've seen each band multiple times, and couldn't understand how ppl could chose one over another at a great show like this!

  • @metalassaultLA - It probably pisses off the of the other bands when that shit happens. I feel sorry for them, but you know [some... okay ALOT of] Dir en grey fans kind of live in this weeaboo world where music is only good if it's from Japan. They can be just as "closed-minded" as they accuse everyone who doesn't like Dir en grey of being. I love DeG, but it's always good to broaden your horizons. Btw, you get those msg's about questions for the next time you interview the band?

  • @TBZK I was so angry when I saw the Dir En Grey fans leave. I also like both bands, so I thought it was stupid they didn't even listen to a few songs by Apocalyptica before they left. I felt bad for Apocalyptica. But I'm also glad they left, because I got to be near the front for Apocalyptica.

  • @Yashieroko Yeah it shows how ignorant a lot of the fans are (jrock fans in general, they annoy me a lot. Obviously not all, but helluva lot lol). Like they didn't even just move to the back of the pit and let Apocalyptica fans forward, it was full on leave, how sad. But now i'm happy they did because they are now kicking their ass for not being able to see this amazingness haha. I enjoyed it fully for all of them in the front row lol.

  • @TBZK lol well i normally do that as well but like, my friend didnt wanna stay and i didn't feel like staying without her there and with my other friend up front in the pit lol.

    excuses excuses excuses! lol

  • @TBZK

    I couldn't agree more.

I wish they did this at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.

But I'm like you. I stay for the whole thing. (and I did while there)

I love both bands, which is why I went.

I would have loved to see this personally. After Dir en Grey did their encore, they didn't come up or anything to feature for Apocalyptica...

  • @TBZK Its disrespectful AND a waste of money. Even though I got pretty overheated...and half deaf from standing right against the speaker in house of blues I would never think of leaving mid-show WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU'LL MISS -points at vid- lol

  • @NyteSkye Yeah exactly! Some crazy event or experience might happen, you never know. And people could always chill in the back and stuff. I find fun in every live event.I guess it's hard for some people to do that lol

  • @TBZK That honestly baffles me lol, I dunno I really like the energy at live events so that makes me have a really good time

  • @TBZK I absolutely agree with you. I saw Apocalyptica in Albuquerque and the vast majority of Dir en grey fans walked out, after Diru exited the stage. I'm glad that they didn't get to see this awesome performance live.

  • @TBZK most people(Diru fans)that left did it because no one knew Kyo and Shinya were coming back out. I regret leaving.

  • @TBZK @metalassaultLA You're not realising that some people have no choice but to leave. They may have to get home by a certain time because of curfew, or if they have children maybe a babysitter can't stay longer, or perhaps they (like myself) had to make it to a bus/train because they traveled a long distance. It isn't disrespectful to leave between sets, they are not disrupting anything. The people who yell insults or just chitchat during a band's performance, THOSE are disrespectful.

  • @everfree1998 I mentioned in my first post about it about legit reasons for leaving, which catching a bus or babysitter is one of the many. Minus those people, I still think it's disrespectful more to the people who have never tried out whatever band it is they left before.

  • @TBZK Ah ok i wasn't sure what "legit reasons" means to you...like unless they are injured in the pit and carried out on a stretcher haha... But yes if someone has to leave for reasons beyond control, i would hope it is not seen rude, as long as it is done during set change and not during performance.

  • @TBZK i can see how someone could feel that way, but personally, i wouldn't want to be in the pit, squished by a bunch of people, just to watch a band that i didn't come to see.

normally, i come to shows like these to see dir en grey or whatever...and so i sort of disagree (on a friendly level, not trying to start a fight here) with that idea...

  • @rosyyaoi2 I wouldn't go and be squished either. I usually hang by the back and watch from afar or the middle when it's a band i'm not fond of. Lol friendliness is wanted haha XD

  • @TBZK sadly, 99% of the Dir en grey fanbase are drooling wapanese retards. It's a true shame

  • @Flauschi13 i'm glad i'm in the 1%

  • @Flauschi13 and the fact that you just assumed they're "wapanese restards" makes you any smarter? if they leave it's their choice, it's their money so why bitch about it

  • @Flauschi13

Okay it's not 99% but it's pretty high lol... I am not one! Sometimes I'm sitting in line for hours and I have to stand next to crazy fan girls that feel the need to recite things they read about the band members from wikipedia.... *rage* It's about the music, not oogling the band members and drowning in a puddle of your drool.

  • @Flauschi13 Yeah, they love all these jrockers and think they are "uber hot kawaii" and really sweet.

And most of the new japanese bands are playing along, spending more time develouping their makeup collection and photoshop skills than actually learning to sing and play instruments.

    It's fuckin' annoying.

Doesn't matter though 'cos in the japanese rock scene, music isnt important as long as you get a few girls wet here and there.. -.-

  • @SleepyFroggy Yeah, I hate that too. Sure they're fun to look at for a couple minutes, but the music of a lot of jrockers make (mostly the oshare kei ones) just grates on my ears and isn't even listenable.

  • @SleepyFroggy Well there are many jrockers with hard skill. Its because they´re asian and asian can do everything :D. There are so many nameless asian artist at youtube with much skill. And the jrockers arent always bad ;D

  • @Acmarak I know they can do anything, their laws let you have sex with 12 y/o girls

  • @dragonspirit1185 Hey dude. My camera doesn't zoom while recording video. Sorry that I have such a shitty camera and I'm sorry that I stood there for five minutes with my arms extended, to record this for all you people to enjoy and say 'crappy camera work'.

    You're welcome!!

  • @metalassaultLA It's okay. I appreciate the camera work since I had no way of being there.

  • @metalassaultLA This is the best sounding one I've seen so far cuz everyone elses are from so far away. I'm so mad I didn't get to go, I love both bands.

  • @metalassaultLA No, thank you a lot for this recording !!

  • @dragonspirit1185

Let's just be happy the microphone on this camera didn't clip like hell like on most hand-held videos. Of course, if you have professional film equipment, want to get passes, and record direct output from the performers and mix and master it before putting it on YouTube for no profit, be my guest. I'll settle for this in the meanwhile.

  • I came for Dir en Grey and I had to leave before I could see Apocalyptica. I hadn't really heard of them, but I was going to stay before I got a call saying I had to come home immediately. I'm upset that I couldn't stay though! This looks so awesome. Darnit!!

  • this is great....Kyo looks and sings very good here!

I noticed that he kept standing in one place, maybe he had too much respect to move on stage and perform coz it was like "Apocalyptica's stage" and he was just a guest. but that doesnt matter, I loved it.

  • @Athaleth NOPE, he had lyrics placed on the floor, so he just couldn't move xd

  • @Bishitsu oh...well is that so....but my explanation brings positive points to kyo's personality, don't you think? xDD

  • @Athaleth He had lyrics on the ground. lol Thats why he didn't really move..and I guess it was out of respect too lol

  • Oh my god... Kyo and Apocalyptica... ! <3

  • urbrsdrgryさん、なるほど。お答えありがとう!

  • How fucking sad. *sigh*

  • @yummykeloidmilk Wat's so sad abt it? O_o

  • I was there!!! so awesome! only Apocalyptica can make cellos look badass! :D

  • oh kyo, i loves him >_<

  • I just read an article from Japan about the collaboration. Apocalyptica had to give up on playing this song during this tour because they didn't have the right vocalist. But when the tour started, they heard Kyo's voice and thought he's perfect for the song. They asked him to sing it for them. Kyo was very surprised and had to master the new song during the tour. They rehearsed on Sep. 4th for the first time and the Aplolyptica members loved it! They premiered it 4 days later in LA.

  • @urbrsdrgry YES! Just as I thought, it was random! *____*

  • @urbrsdrgry Ooo is it translated somewhere?

  • @TBZK No I don't think you can find it in English. I translated and summarized myself. This article is from "barks.jp" and the writer is their friend.

  • @urbrsdrgry Ah okay thank you :)

  • @urbrsdrgry oh wow ._. i had no idea. thats pretty cool though :D

  • seems to be like a strange duet.

their voice together, so strange, can't hear it so well but I imagine, it could be so beautiful.

love kyo, and like apocalyptica very much.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Love Kyo like so so much!!! So bad i dont live in USA =(!!!!
