It seems to be that the ps3 slim for some reason is downloading everything extreemly slowly. Normally I can download uptp five torrent movies overnight but the ps2 took that long and was still working at 11am the next day on 4 demo game, what is up with that?? I I switched over from wired to wireless and the speed almost doubles ( checked Interner settings download speed on the XMB) could something be wrong in the driver for the ethernet?
the UK doesnt have it. Even if you make a US accout is hard to get on it. The option that US users have to take u to it isnt there.

I don't understand the big issue with the FW update. Change doesn't always meant good to those with taste, but this one definitely is an improvement. Probably reason for them releasing it early is to gain ALOT of feedback by the users. Why the friends list being gray is like that as they didn't have enough time to fully integrate the trophy card in there.
I haven't updated yet only cause I want them to fix uncharted bug as I'm playing it right now. :P

The new firmware is okay i guess. Dynamic themes are really interesting (although i think the sparkles have a very feminine feel to them) as well as the "whats new" area, I liked. But why do we need a store link on every drop-down bar!!! i feel like I'm being constantly harassed by it, what's worse is there's no way to get rid of the links...As well with Friends list, i can understand it getting updated, but it defeats the purpose of the XMB being streamlined, now making it feel cluttered.

Sorry not impressed with 3.0. THis firmware really needs to have some big changes. I like the animation and the friends list updates are cool but what happend to the backwards emulation we were promised via firmware??? Also I'd like to see those new themes with the motion background launched with the firmware on day 1. I mean give us just one to make us feel special.

The new firmware is okay i guess. Dynamic themes are really interesting (although i think the sparkles have a very feminine feel to them) as well as the "whats new" area, I liked. But why do we need a store link on every drop-down bar!!! i feel like I'm being constantly harassed by it, what's worse is there's no way to get rid of the links...As well with Friends list, i can understand it getting updated, but it defeats the purpose of the XMB being streamlined, now making it feel cluttered.

I miss the "PLAYSTATION 3" gameboot, they removed it to speed the loading times for games but i think they should have provided an option for the user to enable or disable the gameboot :/

i like the update, only problem is the way the icons look more zoomed in on the XMB, and i believe thats why the friends list looks kinda ugly. I believe if sony can zoom out a little and make the friends list tabs look a little smaller then it should look a little better.
