Recently i have been struck with the idea that a heat recapture engine should be possible. The idea would be to capture all the mechanical energy with compression pump and then capture all the heat energy into the compressed air and make it run a compressed air engine or pneumatic engine. This would mean tandemizing and internal combustion system with a pnematic system and capturing the heat in the pneumatic system that runs the mechanical output pneumatic motor, using heated pressurized air.
