  • Love the video, amazing work :)

Integrity in journalism is a thread in my story "With These Eyes" that, I hope, will do its part in our move towards world peae.

Please check out my trailer and "thumbs up" if you like my work.

    peace

    Horst

  • Wale + Phil Collins + Chris Partlow = win

  • Wale has kept his Artistic Integrity after almost 4 years

  • dere cousins

  • I like some of the songs on Ambition, and of course Wale might've been in a different place when he wrote this album than when he wrote Attention Deficit, but I do feel like he's changed or at least his music isn't the same anymore. What changes when you have to put out an album versus putting out a mixtape? Rhetorical question, but still Ambition isn't all it could be for me.

  • I'm finding that most mixtapes are better than an artist's real album. Even though Attention Deficit didn't do that great the songs were truer to what you'd hear on Wale's mixtapes. Ambition is doing really well but most of the songs are very similar in content and none of them really touch on the content he rapped about on earlier mixtapes.

  • @jenghi21 you sir know what your talking about i couldnt say it better myself and im the top comment in the video

  • @meadowzmobb08 I'm a young woman lol, but it's all good friend. It's nice to know that I'm not alone in my feelings about an artist who I truly respected but don't favor so much anymore

  • since im getting hella hate i just wanted to say wale music has changed as a whole not that change isnt good its just seems as if MMG has changed the most charismatic traits that he has possesed as a whole trust me i have been listening to his music since they started playing it in the dmv in 2006 so everybody can hope off my penis now and if you do have a problem i live in maryland find me

  • Dame!!! this video is to much of a distraction for me to listen to his lyrics like i hear him but only subconsciously........

  • Thats awesome Chris from The Wire puts Wale in a sleeper hold. Shoulda had Snoop come in and help him

  • my favorite song on the tape

  • This video should have way more views....shoutsout to my boi Wale. That real shit.

  • He signed to Rick Ross label, there went his artistic integrity... that was just.. ugh

  • @mkvl1490 THANKYOU I told my boi the same thing the other day. To hear he signed with the biggest fraud on the planet kinda fucked my head up

  • @mkvl1490

That's pretty disappointing to hear. I know he's easer to make an impact in the game but Rick Ross isn't going to help you get there in my opinion. He may make some money on some singles but I don't think it's a good move.

  • its so sad, in germany nobody knows him...

    hes underrated!

  • haha i love the sample in the beginning (George from seinfeld), beast song!

  • @notsofunnyatall he samples alot of seinfeld

  • The one and ONLY time you'll hear Cleo Lemon's name on a track.

The chick at 0:55 looked good.

  • "chin's high like a japanese pilot"

  • @ 2:35/2:36 Does anyone else read into something more about that Lil' Wayne shoutout?

Because for Lupe he had a skateboarder but for Wayne he had a cup knocked over. If thats a diss to him I think I'm all for it.

  • @Dominickk221

funny u say that, i said the same a while back, but i guess wale didnt make the video sooo LOL

  • @Dominickk221 lil wayne sucks anyway. wale is about 92388409783 times better

  • Wale is amazing.

  • sample from Phil Collins: "easy lover"...DOPE!!! one of the illest Wale songs ever!

  • @quitelee22 Good catch, I had to listen a few times cuz i never noticed it. Very ill indeed.

  • i swear to god the first time i listened to this track, headphones on, walking around dc, i almost fucking cried. so inspirational man, just gives you that feeling like you can take on the entire fucking world if need be.

  • DC stah, PG legend, MoCo phenomena

  • this was the song that made me a wale fan almost 2 years ago

  • i take back whenever i said i didnt like wale. hes a pretty dope dude

  • Damn Wale, CuDi, Lupe, Khalifa, and Cool Kids are so tight. Way better than Lil Wayne and Young Money

  • Never will i ever utter never to myself.

  • Yo thats love right there... he got his cousin, actor Gbenga Akinnagbe, in the video with him... good look wale ... ;plus the song is incredible.... go get that Wale tape entitled " The Mixtape about Nothing"

  • shit this has always been one of my fav wale tracks and i just found out its kinda a diss it blew my fuckin mind lol

  • I'm normally not into rap or hip-hop at all. THIS, however, blew me away. I like it, keep it up; it's about time hip-hop came back to the roots of originality these days.

  • Look dont be offended I know it sounds easy to sell lyrical songs without making songs like chillin but its not everyone has done it even lupe said it listen to hip hop saved my life

  • "... we apples and oranges but everybody pair[pear] us..." this dude will send some shit right over top of your head like ain't shit to it...

  • My Chins high like a Japanese Pilot WOW! This is sick

  • hip hop lives!

  • hip hop to the fullest....please pardon my integrity.

  • I need a lupe and wale track

  • @Jay0929 yo check out Wale & Lupe - Let's ride its pretty tight

  • @Jay0929 DC Gorillaz they didnt go hard like this tho

  • @Jay0929 dont be selfish!!! you can't have the 2 GREATEST rappers alive in one track :P

  • Wale hasent even begun yet. He put out Attention Deficit to get him on the premiere rapper board. He's been making top quality rap for 5 years now. I am awaiting to see what the future has in store for him.

  • @sbaker0107 couldnt have said it better myself

  • him and wiz need to make a track

  • Wale is dope....case closed..

  • sounds too similar to Jones' Hustler's P.O.M.E. intro

  • @jaegood89 yeah it does, i just noticed that.

  • at the begenning, what did those pictures mean?

  • S4I420 is a fukn dumbass..money is big time but it aint got SSHIIITTTT to do with REAL hip hop. REAL

  • his flow is so sick...i never liked someone's flow this much ever since i heard biggie

  • Wiz Khalifa

  • Dopest Wale song ever made? Kinda anxious to hear Center of Antention (Artistic Integrity 2)

  • man, a song with lady gaga and gucci. wtf. how can he go from making a song about his artistic integrity and go do a song with gaga and gucci. i hope he only did it to get big and go back to this kind of hip hop.

  • wait wat's wrong wit making song wit other artist that...i think that actually speak to the true testament of his artistic integrity because he's willing to work wit different artist and not be close minded. i dont get why people keep criticizing him for doing chilling, i mean all his songs can't be seriuous deep hip hop cuz the reality no one is truly serious all the time sometimes you wanna listen to something fun. Beside chilling PUT him on the map, w/o it he's not where he's now

  • Dam He Made A Song With Gucci.........

  • Even If They Do Play This On The Radio..Dum Niggas Aint Gon Listen To It..I Hope He Dont Do A Song Wit Gucci To Get Some Radio Play..GUCCI SUCCS.

  • He did...Pretty Girls is the name of the song :(

  • he jus needed that to gt the name out there his album will most likely be more like this and som deep stuff e.g. ice and rain family affair, etc.

  • He's Has To Give MOCO a bigger shout out. That MF went to Quince Orchard In Gaithersburg, MD

  • @ ConspiracyOnCrack

i completely agree with you, i went to whitman and i want to hear some MOCO shoutouts!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Everytime I hear this the sample reminds me of Easy Lover by Phil Collins and Philip Bailey??Somebody please help!

  • that nerd is wale's cousin. gbenga from the wire

  • when you're as good as him, you're gonna sell out. there's no way around it, and that sucks.

  • ha atristic integrity and thata lil wale kissa genius

  • never will i never utter "never" to myself/ fall in love with defeat, throw my endeavors on the shelf/ i'll never back up like cleo lemon on myself- Wale is ill!

  • i dislike how he might sell out.

    chillin is crap no lie.

even worse he might burn out brands he wears soem people dont know about.

i think theirs pros and cons to goin big i juss think he should stay humble overall blu is better rapper attitude artist wtvr.

  • he only did chillin to get mainstreams attention and it worked as people how they kno wale and the say oh doesnt he have a song with lady gaga.

  • I agree fully, Chillin is the only out of place song on the album.

  • yea he didnt need to do that song with ga ga did he? he needs to be more worried about selling to the right people rather the amount of peole its not abbout money and if he doesnt get massive commercial appeal just doing songs like this so be it.

  • Thank You. I like wale but not that song with Lady Ga-ga. He need to remember what got him where he is and that's true lyricism and true hip hop.......not cheezy beats with catchy hooks. C'mon Wale, keep it real. We need to rep the DMV to the fullest.

  • respect

  • U sound stupid as fuck...jus cuz lady gaga did the hook its cheezy..did u even listen to tha lyrics....

  • ur a fuckin idiot fagot. The beat is cheezy. I'm a lyricist. I listen to all lyrics. I dont like the fuckin song. If u listen to his other tracks then u would know what i mean. That song is not a good discription of his capability. And I'm from DC prick. I got big love for WALE. So shut the fuck up. U sound dumb as fuck bitch!

  • i dont think either of you guys have room to talk bout wales music cause look at it this way hes the fucking millionaire rapper so obviously he is doing something right both you guys are dumb asses

  • obviously u didnt read properly. the 1st thing I said was I like Wale. I've met him several times. I'm from DC nigga. I said I dont like that song with lady ga ga because its fuckin weak. And 2nd of all what the fuck does money have to do with anythhing? Yea, vanilla ice was a millionare rapper too....whats ur fuckin point? So if a nigga sell alot of records that mean he doin something right. That could mean he doin everything wrong.

  • yeah no doubt brah, that "Chillin" track is prolly his worse track but I think he mainly did that song to attract the pop fan base. He gotta mixtape with 9th Wonder (Back to the Feature) that has a pretty cool version of the song though.

This is his best song though, the articstic integrity, the video is sick too

  • Look at Gorrilla Black. Nigga came out sellin alot. Now where is he? Shut the fuck up bitch. I know what the fuck I'm talkin bout. Like I said, I'm from and live in DC bitch. The people that like Wale and got him where he is, dont fuck with that song. PERIOD! I gives a FUCK how much money a nigga makin. That aint what hip hop is about u fuckin moron. Go take a nap punk!

  • but if wale didnt do that song with gaga he'd have ZERO publicity right now..he needed a radio hit to get him well known

  • yes he needs publicity but if he cant get it from doing good intelligent songs like this and the many others he has done in the past than he need to stay underground not degrade his music and water it down by doing that song with ga ga at the end of the day he still had a big following on the underground scene and he was known through joints like rising up with the roots he may not of been getting paid like he may want to but music should come first b4 anything period in my opinion respect

  • but listen, if he did a song like this right now on the radio he'd get absolutley no play time..right now its all about catchy hooks and auto tune..thats why he did the song with gaga..those lyrics he spit in that song isnt even the surface of his lyrical potential

  • so what if radio never played him its not all about popularity and money fuck that saty underground and keep your respect thats priceless

  • if he does nody will listen to it doe...

  • I wonder what Wale's debut album will sound like.

  • Wale is a lyrical genius... he reminds me of Nas...

  • as 4 blu he is definently the most abstact sound compared to the rest and i hope it gets him farther! BLUUUUUUUUUUUU! get on his below the heavens, J&J, crac knucks, mixtape ish and her favorite color! thats hip hop ladies and gents, oh and jus for the air waves f waynnnnnne

  • wale has been slept on too hes been known sice 07 or maybe 06!

  • more like 05.

  • common market, foreign exchange, oddisee, k-o's

  • wale will be ranked up there with the greats at least by the end of the next decade.

this dude is going to go far.
