  • Anyone could fire a gun..But to master a sword is a totally different story...

  • the samurai one of the few best soldjers of japan yet war would only be used as last option they always tryd to reason there conflicts instead of fighting them on battlefields thats true honour if you ask me

  • Code of the Samurai: do your homework, review your lessons, study for tests

  • Name of the first song please :D

  • yeah its the best movie n best sound track! nice baby!

  • this in hd would be epic

its awesome as it is now

  • @K4inan All your hatred, everything you say, about Arabs and Islam is because of the media and your lack of knowledge + ignorance. Where do you get your imformation, lol cause its not coming from your intelligence. Your a hypocrite and a phony, fake ass faggot who drops down on his hands and knees basicly bowing for another man to shove his cock up your rectum.

  • @Desert2Crow muslims get that done to them 5 times a day lmao

  • @K4inan All your hatred, everything you say, about Arabs and Islam is because of the media and your lack of knowledge + ignorance. Where do you get your imformation, lol cause its not coming from your intelligence. Your a hypocrite and a phony fake ass faggot who drops down on his hands and knees basicly bowing for another man to shove his cock up your rectum. There's no point in talking to you people cause you don't argue all you do is suck on cocks.

  • @K4inan LOL where did all your sense talk go, or is this your true self coming out. Your a hypocrite, what your saying is the opposite of what you are doing. Your telling people not to believe in everything they hear and to use their own intelligence, but your believing everything you hear and your not using your own intelligence. From the way I see it your not being honest.

  • @K4inan Do you think its manly ? Those words are being disgraced by your gayness. How about you bow for me and raise your fine ass cause that's all your good for.

  • @Desert2Crow Oh.. You're from the middle-east.. No wonder you are filled with hatred. There is no point talking with you people, you never argue, you just shout like idiots. Well. Mohammed fucked 9-year olds, how is that not worse than being gay? Mohammed also said that white people, blonde people, blue-eyed people are superior, chosen by Allah. Since Mohammed said this, it means Allah said it through him. So why don't you listen to your superior, and stop hating gays. You can't stop them anyway

  • @Desert2Crow When I said ''Use your head, or somebody else might'' I meant that you have never used your own intelligence, or your own words. All your hatred, everything you say, is because of the Qu'ran and your family. + friends. Allah did give you freedom of thought and a soul for a reason didn't he? Nevermind, Allah and God doesn't exist, humans are afraid of death, so we make up a god and create an afterlife.

  • related movies/great movies the last samurai kingdom of heaven gladiator robin hood(russell crowe version) black hawk down. please respond for any simlar to these great movies

  • im a fanatic of this film i would die fro the freedom of the samurai

  • @tapanojum1 After watching a video of men with honor, I thought about the people who have no honor and the first thing that poped up in my head was homos. I dare a homosexual to claim that he has honor.

  • @tapanojum1 Scientists state that homosexuality is not genetic, meaning your not born homosexual, being homosexual is a choice of lifestyle, but whatever the case, there are testimonies of thousands that homosexuality is a changable condition. There has been many people who have went from gay to being straight.

  • @tapanojum1 Science does not suppot the claim that homosexuality is genetic, scientces state that if same-sex attractions were genetically determind, then one would expect identical twins to be identical in their sexual attractions. There are, however numerous reports of identical twins who are not identical in their sexual attractions. Proving homosexuality is not genetic, its mostly behavior and environmental causes.

  • @tapanojum1 True hating someone for the way they are born is nonesense, I agree with that. If someone was born with a deffect or a sickness it isn't their choice. And you said homosexuals were born that way, if that's true ? Let's see what science has to say about that.

  • There's a lot of corruption happening infront of western people and no one cares. Like homosexuality is a corruption saying its ok is corrupting peoples minds. Gays have no HONOR or DIGNITY they are a disgrace and they degrade them selves. If you think about it, what man can call him self a man after bending down and raising his ass for another man to fuck him. Or droping down on his knees just to suck another mans dick. Do these people have Honor do these people deserve respect.

  • Comment removed

  • Seems like you have some serious issues. No one chooses to be gay. Being born a certain way is not a "corruption". Hating someone for the way they are born is nonsense. Whether you agree with it or not, is a whole different topic. Although no one mentioned anything about homosexuality in this video, so it's a bit surprising to see you bring it up out of the blue. Perhaps you're in the closet..?

(I feel like you're just trolling on purpose anyways)

  • @Desert2Crow Well, the Spartans thought gay sex is more manly than anything else.

"Use your head, or somebody else might."

It is truly regrettable that a person will treat a man who is valuable to him well, and a man who is worthless to him poorly.

  • what's the name of the song?

  • we all die but just a few become immortal.

  • absolute beauty.

  • never say die. the samurai might be dead but the soul lives on threw us all

  • This is a bit sad that in real life these samurais fought only for their business, not honour.

  • @TheVerinen2

Just as u view a cup half full of water or half empty, it depends on individual. Whatever rules or regulations(bushido) thought to the samurais, not all will follow. You may want to search up more video or stories of 47 ronins and others.

  • @BloodClaws My comment was about the uprising of Saigo Takamori, not all samurais ; )

  • The code of the samurai: Loyalty, Justice, Courage, Honor.

    Respect to them!

  • @FreedomFighter08 + Benevolence (LOVE), Respect and Honesty. To my understanding, these form the 7 Virtues of the Samurai / The Bushido Code

  • @FreedomFighter08 Yeaaaaah..... samurai actually means 'soldier'... cos they were the soldiers, better than the peasants. Almost everyone in feudal japan had their set of morals...

  • Ehre, wird heutzutage leider, klein geschrieben......

  • This boosts my ego so much! Thanks to the creators I guess, on behalf of my people.

  • @SpicyHam But shintoism and budhism are against EGO.

  • All wars are fought over ideals and personal gain and yet there are Few people out there now that fight for ideals. religion fights wars for the gain for the church or to spread its word. governments to settle scores or to increase economic increase. Man fights for there own gain and power. As long as there are 2 people on this earth someone will always want someone dead. BUT there are those who fight for nothing other than the truth of an ideal way of life, for Honour or for self defence.

  • What does it mean to be Samurai?

Sword fights and interesting hairstyle options?

  • @eezysqueezy

    honor you Idiot ..HONOR

  • @paulymania But it does also mean sword fights and a variety of hairstyles being accessible.

    Samurai win!

  • LOL

good display of the western mind.

  • wat an honorable life i would be to live as a Samurai

  • We as humans are created by our individuality to thrive and live. War is what we are. It happens over everything. We also came to be from many of centuries way before the Vatican. War has been here since the begining of human time. Nothing can get rid of it, and nothing can prevent it from happening it is inevitable to avoid it.

  • War didn't start from a couple of idiots making a series of interconnected mistakes. War is not just some big thing that happens between two countries. It happens in everything you do. War from way back that we study in history books just shows the less purposeful aspects. War is caused by a numerous amounts for reasons. it can range from anything as simple as a little debate with your family or friends, to a massive war over religion and political debate.

  • by "an understandable", i mean an understandable war

  • They say Japan was made by a sword. They say the old gods dipped a coral blade into the ocean, and when they pulled it out four perfect drops fell back into the sea, and those drops became the islands of Japan.

I say, Japan was made by a handful of brave men. Warriors, willing to give their lives for what seems to have become a forgotten word: Honor....

  • I agree with that, one of the best movie ever made.

  • got damn this is one of the best movies ever made!

  • japan is a very beatifull land. pleas come and visit us. (if you ever move to japan you shuld move to Kyoto, or osaka. i dont like tokyo so much. but its ok.

  • @ndsboy888 and the culture is great

  • spectre in the fog best song

  • @kaindrg : you're right :)

  • Now this was a good movie :)

  • samurai and vikings ftw

  • Samurai not unlike these were the first to decisively defeat a Mongol army, whipped 'em good , well they got help from the typhoons(divine wind) that also destroyed a large part of the mongol fleet

  • @pejb83 the egyptians were. The egyptians and the koreans(though this groups lost quite badly) were the only to groups to kill a mongolian general in battle. theough neither invasion to japan proved successfull the first invasion proved technological and tactical superiority of the mongolian yuan>

  • @kaindrg The first time the Mongols invaded maybe. But the samurai had never faced a foreign enemy before so they were used to fighting with each other. The second time the Mongols invaded though, the samurai were beating them so much that they could barely get off of their ships, and then the samurai would go out and raid the ships also. So they learned quick and they beat the Mongols pretty bad the second time.

  • @kaindrg too bad the "divine wind" got in the way but still, read the above post

  • The war was not pointless it was a testimony to the old way the honorable way. Back when war had honor and meaning for your culture and beliefs before it was just about profit... out of all the meanings to go to war this is one of the best.... Live for nothing or die for something!

  • @TheAmharach there is no such thing as a good war or an understandable. all wars are useless and pointless, especially world war 2, which started because of a series of interconnected mistakes. all wars startthat way

  • @serban031 All wars are useless??? I suppose your right we should let all the bad in the world to continue happening... I bet the bad guy loves mugging you... you just give him everything he wants and you allow him to oppress you, your family, and your beliefs...

  • @TheAmharach you don't get it do you.... all wars started because of an idiot or two who made a series of interconnected mistakes that led to the beginning of that war and possibly the intervention of other countries. The Crusades started because the foolishness of the kings in believing that the Vatican is right. There is no such thing as an honorable war as long as an idiot starts it. Sometimes it was started by great generals/ emperors, who thought that they could control the world.

  • @TheAmharach that "bad in the world" and "bad guy" concept( which was actually bad woman(the witch thing)) were created by the Church in the 13th and 14th centuries to actually show that man has all the power and specifically the Vatican has all the power, which led to the massacre of the Templars on October 13th, 1307 and the witch hunts a couple of centuries later, and many other things. To this day we know the Templars had the documents that would destroy Christianity, but no one found them.

  • @serban031 Thanks for proving my original point wars nowadays are fought for personal profit or vendettas. But I believe fighting for an ideal that puts you above the normal mindless masses is a great thing. I can see for your own personal reasons you do not so instead of getting into a heated you tube argument im just going to agree to disagree...

  • @TheAmharach It could be easily argued that the Nazis (the more committed ones anyway) fought for an ideal. So, I would say that calling a war over an ideal 'great' depends very much on what that ideal is.

  • @eezysqueezy

I couldn't agree more. But i believe this was a good ideal.

  • @TheAmharach Yes, Katsumoto's was a fight worth fighting.

  • @eezysqueezy Thank you for you intellectual conversation those are rare on here now a days...

  • aah... so this is where AR Rahman got the music for AirTel.... hmmm interesting

  • awsome song!!!

  • @bottomsbaby no

  • this is good shit!! thank you poster

  • I really liked that the sacrifice of Thermopilae is in Western Man's mind an example of bravery and passes with this way to an Asian Warrior.....

  • bullshit movie.??YES .. thank you MATAHFAKEN PARASITE ! you are sole prove why most humans are right out parasite! wityhout honor! cwhere do you live? so i can coem take you out of your aprasitic existance --do you know you have no righjt to live? you are parasitic asshole...

  • Comment removed

  • you have never confronte danyone like me-=-- i'm the alst men on this rock you!call a planet you wnat to fuck with --can parasites talk did know--444

  • u funny homo...bad ehglish too.

  • because the good old us of a has the rights to arm bears or should that be the other way around?

  • wtf are u talking about???

  • It starts off with "Spectres in the Fog" and then goes to "Red Warrior."

  • Why is it that Algren decides that he must find his true identity through war and death? He departed from society because of the brutal atrocities he had seen in the American Civil War and during Custer's Last Stand, and explains early on how stupid and useless these "heroic" escapades are. Granted, the Samurai are noble, but their ultimate reward was to be slaughtered in a desperate battle. Why did Algren eventually find this appealing? My idea is that the battles just looked good onscreen.

  • @jerico641 It wasn't the slaughter that appealed to him. What appealed to him was that as opposed to his own people, Americans. The Samurai devoted their lives to a strict sense of honor, and they're reason for waging war as in defense of their way of life. Previously, Algren had gone to war in order to destroy the Native American way of life, and the Japanese, he'd been disgusted that his skills in combat had no purpose but to destroy. He fought for greed, for power.

  • Well, I suppose; and I haven't read the book, so it's difficult to surmise his motives clearly. But the argument can be made that Algren's newly developed skills in combat were used in the Samuari battles for the same purpose, to destroy. The motives may seem to him, the Samuari characters, and the audience as more "noble", but are they really? I understand the parallel between the Native Americans and the Samuari, but death is death. He would've been more interesting as a pacifist.

  • He did not find the battles appealing but the fact that they fought for a value and that the samurai respected their tradition and had HONOR! It is a concept that is very unclear for us in modern times when the money couns more than anything and any means to getting to it are more or less socially acceptable! Furthermore he realised that in the US he was killing for nothing just because those were the oders, the men lacked a moral and spiritual, if you can call is that , basis for their actions.

  • Yes, I do understand that he came to respect and admire the Samuari and through them found a kind of redemption for himself. But my point is that the audience is shown that there was so much beauty and love within the culture, and we come to love it ourselves (at least I did); so much to live for and to pass on to the future, and then to just sacrifice everything in a pointless war. I dare say that we now know less about these people than we could if they had had honor enough to not fight.

  • So beautiful movie ...

  • Epic movie and with Hans Zimmer the best movie I've ever seen!

  • And I wish there are still Samurai's today - people who would die for honor. D:

  • there are samurai today, atleast respectful people carried on the legends of the samurai, the art of the samurai is IAIDO, they carry same traits of the elder samurai. Ive met an australian samurai, his name is Simon Higgins, an author and a highly respected citizen to the martial arts. look him up on youtube, you will see

  • Feels so good to know ^^

  • Some people still do die for honor.

  • It is my favourite movie also,

you should have included the cutscenes from the assasination attempt on katsumoto in the village, that had some hecticness.

    nice vid made 5 stars

  • Maybe Global, but don't pretend you don't like "The Modern World" that "Christian White Men" helped created.

BTW, it wasnt ALL Christian "White Men"

I guess you THINK you'd prefer a time when Samurai ruled and if you disagreed with them they cut your head off?

    You libs are something else

  • I don't like to be a slave of the rich , fat and power hungry people either that when you go to riot against their ways the send the army and the police against you.

  • The Christian White men destroyed so many cultures in the name of modernism. They made brother fight against brother. Watching this really made me cry!

  • stfu fruitcake

  • They lied. It wasn't "Christian white men", they pretended to be christian but were Jesuits, Masons 33rd degree, Illuminati and tagging along Zionist. They created radical groups among the targeted groups and cultures in order to destroy them.

  • @GlobalVedicEmpire Do they teach history much where you live or just government propaganda and tribe hate mongering? What "white troops" where in Japan at this time or ever prior? The first "White" troops there where at the end of WW2, The two countries the USA rebuilt after WW2 Japan and Germany both are allies of the USA and their people have prospered greatly under the type of government and reforms the USA installed. Please learn subject before you try to teach, or look to be a fool.

  • @masluxx Late reply: The Spanish sent their groups 1st to Japan. That's one troop. Also don't Commodore Matthew Calbraith Perry & later US expeditions that attacked Japan & forced the Tenno to move from Kyoto to Edo (Tokyo). The USA paid in-debt samurai to do their dirty work thus the Yakuza was founded. On June 1 2010 Japanese prime minister Yukio Hatoyama resigned because he wanted to stop human rights violations caused by US troops in Okinawa, but failed. So, what good did America bring?

  • @GaolisVideoLog Nothing really. The only american the Japanese truly liked was General MacArthur as they viewed him as a man of honor. Most Japanese never gave up their pride to the american soldiers during their occupation. America did bring baseball and boxing (which the Japanese both excel at.

Not my conversation but wanted to say somwthing

  • @GaolisVideoLog Commodore Perry never set foot on japan. The ronen where around long before this time period. as for the acts of a few bad people on Okinawa. do blame all of japan for the bad Japanese in America you know like the Yakuza, no i do not, because that would be child like and foolish. What good did America bring? look at Korea an other example, the south had a similar experience with America as japan, the North Korea well they are like the rest or Asia so you tell me ah?

  • What is said at 2:13?

  • what happened to the warriors at thermopylae? (the spartans)

    dead to the last man!

  • so fucking epic. love it!

  • what happend to the worriors in thernople

  • Excellent video. I first saw when i had been training karate for one year and i really felt that bushido is a strong part of the japanese styles of martial arts. If you embrace it fully you can almost live the code of bushido to its full potential, I think. God job with the video:)

  • I loved this Movie. Its what made me start following some of the Code of Bushido. At least whats possible in modern day..

  • Nice job on the video. The greatest movie...and you did it proud.
