This is a beautiful song...but Melissa Manchester's version from the original film was better.

As for the film...they were both pretty much B quality tear jerkers...and both were made by the SAME DIRECTOR! In other words, it's like watching a play in London, and then watching the same play in NYC with a different cast. It's essentially the same individual's vision...and although the performers may touch you, for the most part, there's no major differences!

didnt even know smone made a remake of icecastles... looks nice, though why do they have to kinda sexualize it a little by the end kiss? ( havent seen new version yet) dont get me wrong, the kiss seems sweet n loving but the original was so much cute n sweet when she asked him to say w her n he just said "u bet!" to me it seems like their love is so much more than a kiss, a touch, a disability... i guess now a days things r just diff. ill have to see this new version of ice castles. :)

Hi, Melissa Manchester sang the original in the 1978 version of the movie, which is my personal favorite, I own that movie on DVD. Robby Benson and Lynn Holly Johnson played the original Lexie and her hockey player boyfriend and were great in the movie. If you watch the soaps, this song was Nikki and Victor Newman's love song on the Young and the Restless as well. Look for Melissa Manchester's greatest hits CDs and this version, it's as nicely done as the the 2010 version.

This looks good and I'd like to see it. But I really loved the original, especially the chemistry between the two young stars, so I don't think I will prefer the remake. Its great to introduce the story to a new audience though in a modern version that they can appreciate.

I just finished watching the origional version from 1978.

I have always loved that film.

Now i find out that there is a remake of this most heart warming film.

I have already queued it up in my Netflix.

I will view it in a couple days.

My opinion is that seldom is a great movie been remade well, or better.

It does happen ocasionally. I am hopeful this will be the case for me.
