When Pilots do their training do they train @ a regular airport? Meaning if it's @ a regular airport then how would 1 runway be available specifically for them to train on? When he 1st takes off it seems like it's in a regular airport w/ other planes parked @ their gates. Or is an "Airport Training Camp" (like 1 desolate airport) maybe they use a Private Airport? I'm just curious & yes he seems to progress during his training.
@capacityplus I'm building a 737 simulator and I also wonder how they do that. A compromise setting would only be set if you know in advance you're going around. I just did a quick search [1] and I believe they go full throttle, just take off at normal speed and if the flaps are still traveling, worry about that later.

since this video was taken in the late 90', it's safe to assume this FO probably made Captain by now. He's probably enjoying this video more than most of us.
this is a CX B777-200 take off from vhhh and touch and go in vmmc. And this is a normal training when people promote from SO (second officer) to FO (first officer)

How can an airliner retract flaps to t/o setting in time for touch and go? or is there a compromise setting?

You can see the 2nd officer's making progress! The first landings are hard, he then makes a soft one, a hard one and finally a soft one :)

it's the first officer, not the second officer - the second officer is the guy holding the camera, and the F/O - who is the P/O - is airboyd.

If you count the stripes on the pilot flying's shoulder, it are two. That makes him a 2nd officer. He is the pilot flying though.
