  • How would this compare to paper from say a standard copying paper. I know its more water proof (papyrus) but under STP or what ever how do they hold up over time comparatively?

  • @Billete37 I think it keeps up more than modern paper. I mean we shred documents daily, and how many newspapers from the time of George Washington are around?

  • i have two things to say, the papyrus trees are gone and papyrus are also very fragile (a lot more fragile then news paper).

  • @uchihasurvival OLD papyrus is fragile.... you are thinking of the ancient scrolls, which are fragile because they are ancient. Do you really think they would choose such fragile paper to write important things on? No. Also, how would they be able to write on it if it was so fragile?

  • nice.......

  • this is SOOOOOO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nasty tourists haha

  • I have some papyrus and I want to make some paper out of it but I didn't know that it would take so long.

  • crumble it up and soak it in black tea or coffee gives it a nice aged look.

  • okay this is so weird but I was there and I was 16. Its the same guy too which is funny and I remember thinking he was hot lol. I'm 23 now but its so weird its the same place and guy

  • This was in 2007 so yeah it is weird that he's still there! I think they have a deal with alot of tour companies to visit them so they're making money.

  • Woah, when I was in Egypt i went to that place...WTF!

  • I ahve a papyrus plant at home.

  • omg

  • Brilliant. The ancients were far wiser than we portray them today.
