  • @DaFawky

derp, i was making fun of you.

"transgendered" is not an umbrella term. it's a specific term.

just like drag queen and transsexual/transvestite are.

    you have it confused.

transgendered means when their gender identity doesn't match their biological sex. transvestite means a crossdresser.

    transsexual usually means the latter.

  • @DaFawky trans·gen·der (trns-jndr, trnz-) adj. 1. Appearing as, wishing to be considered as, or having undergone surgery to become a member of the opposite sex. 2. Of or relating to transgender people. n. A transgender person. trans·ves·tite (trns-vstt, trnz-) n. A person who dresses and acts in a style or manner traditionally associated with the opposite sex.

  • @DaFawky These definitions are constantly evolving and changing. I agree with 310BPM in regards to transsexual/transvestite is different from transgendered people. Apparently a lot of transvestites (cross-dressing) are practiced by hetereosexual males who have no interest in sex-change and may not necessarily be attracted to males and do they do not identify as being gay. We can't generalize these terms and we should be a bit more open-minded about it.

  • Amazing they all have feminine voices.

I wonder how early they began female hormones, or if they are the rare xxy ?

  • Just a question-how many female to male transexuals participate in beauty pageants? Quite telling about the culture of North America and views about the feminine, eh? I find this whole issue kind of odd and I am not a hairy faced ugly woman without any education nor a total man hating lesbian.

  • It is unknown how many exactly but living in san antonio and south texas there are many beautiful transsexuals. The popular beauty pageants like Miss Continental in Chicago and Miss Usofa in Dallas have about 40 to 60 contestants each year.

  • I asked the question about female to male not male to female. What I am getting at is the whole idea of the feminine based on looks. Is there a MR Continental or Mr Usofa in Dallas? But of course I am posing the question to a biased group who are into male to female transexualism rather than asking the question to a neutral non-biased group of respondents.

  • Yes there is a system its called mr. usofa mi(male impersonation). i was a judge for Mr. Texas mi last year. im a male perfomer not male to female or female to male but just gay and ive competed in the regular gay pageants. Mr,. usofa mi was held in Arkansas this past year.

  • rip miss mercedes

  • Umm yea durrr there not Female Impersonation there transsexuals had operations boobjobs, voise surgery, face jobs on & on... thats why thye look so good

  • Haha, if you know half of those girls you wouldn't say that. Don't assume that simply because they're gorgeous that they're plastic. Tits are one thing -- but I know for a fact two of those faces are completely au natural.

    Shut your ignorant mouth.

PS. You are right it's not 'female impersonation.' But hell it's the early 90s, late 80s.

  • Are you kidding me they are the most perfect females ever!

  • Hmmmmmmmmm. boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing

  • drag? umm that's not drag.. no drag make up... just a transexual pagent..

  • @chad5161

    you're right. this isn't drag.

but calling drag queens transgendered is just straight up ignorant.

  • @DaFawky

You are absolutely 100% incorrect in your statement that "transgendered" covers all those things.

Drag Queens are not transgendered people. They are gay men who are female impersonators who do Drag to entertain and/or to make a living.

Transexual people are usually straight men who dress in women's clothes.

Transgendered people are people who born biologically the opposite gender to their personality/mentality/etc. and seek psychological and hormonal treatments for such.

Right.. I don't care what dictionaries say.

I care what the people in the LGBTQQA community identify as, and how they use the words identified with that community.
