  • Not so good on the bars, but I loved the beam routine, even if it was ridiculously long. Watching this makes me wish they still had compulsories - real ones at the higher levels, I mean, not the ones they use for levels 1-6 and the so-called "routines" for elite qualifications here in the US.

Does anyone else think the choice of dismounts on bars and beam was odd?

  • I never really noticed how long that beam routine was! I miss compulsories, I wish they'd bring them back

  • i think they should bring compulsories back. with them you rarely saw the labored kips, huge dead hangs, and cowboyed flips. as for the floor music, i think they should create several floor routines, and then assign every country a routine.also, did anyone else notice the music was always classical or very nondescript?

  • what a treat to see these videos. Thank you for sharing them.

  • My god you were amazing. I only got to level 7 and quit to do cheerleading instead. bahhh worst mistake of my entire life. Dont you miss it like crazy? I sure do... still have those dreams where im at meets and my parents are going crazy! haha.. :)

  • Are they playing CCR there in the gym? During the routines? Maybe Bela is a fan.

  • I really loved her beam routine. Everything just flowed together. The routine almost had the same kind of flow as Nadia

  • it's compulsories.. everyone had to do that same beam routine (and vault, bars, floor..). Some people did it better than others, like it suited some better naturally. She was one of them.

  • yeah, I realize that... I think it is interesting that the dismounts for both bars and beam are forwards rotating dismounts, but I would expect them to be something more common (like maybe a layout full off bars and beam).

Do they still do compulsories? I don't think they are done at any level here in Canada.

  • Compulsories were eliminated after the 1996 Olympics for all.

They used to try to pick elements that were simple enough, but still a little challenging...

Each set was used for 4 years and changed with each new COP.

It was interesting to watch but after a while hearing the same floor music got annoying! LOL

  • oh, ok thanks! yeah, I've seen some videos and I can see that it would be very repetitive to watch! :)

  • coooolll!! i dont understand one part... are you allowed to watch them because i didnt know you were allowed i thought it was parents or Parental Guardians you can go there :S lol

    very good performance!

  • perfection now that's how graceful a gymnast should be and look...alot of these new gymnast need to take notes her turns were very graceful these gymnast now just throws theirselves into a turn instead of using technique

  • love herrrrrr

  • I would love to see Svetlana and Shannon's routines here too.

  • they are the compulsory routines that they used to have to do in the olympics

  • Hey do you per chance have any routines of the Aussie girls from this comp? The first 10 girls in the row I'd say are the Aussies. I think, well maybe Genevieve Preston, Joanna Hughes, Zeena McLaughlin, ? (can't remember), Lisa Moro, Rebecca Stoyel, Salli Wills, ?, Jenny Smith, ?.

  • This is a cool starting video. Glad this isn't how you did at the trials. So many form breaks and wobbles. Glad to see you had your not so good moments as well
