Anyway, I think the 1st is more fitting for the Sufferer because I imagine him to be quite gentle and mature until he starts lashing out and raging upon his death. 2nd is more fitting for Karkat since I imagine him yelling so much that his voice became raspy.

I don't know why everyone thinks Karkat screams nonstop, he just types in all caps, he's not screaming ALL THE TIME. So I think the first voice is much, much better suited for Karkat, maybe even raise the pitch an octave or two and it will be perfect.

The first one is way better. He's just a kid, after all. If you're going to go with the gruffer voice, you gotta make it a little higher pitched to match his age. :) Otherwise, great job! Best one so far!

I concur with the suggestion to raise the pitch a bit, but I would suggest bringing the rough in when KK's riled up. If what he's talking about is soft enough that he shouldn't be yelling then first voice is pretty great, but for yelling KK, the second one really impressed me. A bit higher in pitch might work out, given his age. You may want to give that a test, like this video, ambitiousBard.

actually the coarse would be better, karkat shouts alot and is generally angry.. so he would naturally have a coarse damaged voice. just... try to roughen your voice a little while trying voice 1, if you can xD unless you already are, then keep it up :3
