Her music isn't terrible, you is one of the most successful artists in world, even if she is not acknowledged in the western world. I admit her Japanese music is better, but her music is by far not terrible.

She has just decided to go mainstream in the western world so she will get noticed. Once she is more successful she will probably revert more to her traditional styles.
