  • CLASSIC!!!

  • Was the audio remastered or added later? This is JUST the type of music I need for a cartoon I'm working on. Thanks for posting!

  • @toonsmyth This is a silent cartoon so the audio was added later.

  • @sharkisland89 LOL! Thanks for the quick response. ;-p If yoiu want to see the end result of my project, check out Lil' Coco Adventures on my channel. They showed a clip of it on CONAN back in May.

  • my grandmother was born that year

  • @arcochavix as much as id like it to be any of the fantastic pyschoactives found on the planet im sorry to say its must likely just a referance to alcohol (i assume this from the sign that says speakeasy)

  • I used to get up early in the morning to watch these cartoons,I only wish the era music was right, but it brings back memories, cornflakes and milk in front of the TV on the metal TV tables.

I want to drink a glass of that soda

  • good

  • What an imagination! Great!

  • These silent movies were on WPIX, Channel 11 in NYC on Saturday mornings at 7:00 AM during the late 1950's and early 1960's. The musical soundtracks were even cheesier than the one added to this cartoon.

  • These old cartoons are the best.

  • coolz check out some of mine :)

  • cooliful!

  • i just noticed that the sign in the background said speakeasy which is an illegal bar during prohibiton and seeing how this was from 1927 that makes sence...wow the things you find in old cartoons

  • ok that was awesome!

  • Does anyone know what musical piece is playing in this cartoon?

  • Wow! - that "soda" sure packed a punch!! So inventive - great stuff - thanks for posting.

  • acid trip

  • Thank you really! I had been looking for one of these for years. This character was one of the first transmitted in Mexico around the first 50's. Do you know the old man's name? Thank you again!

  • According to the great source "Of Mice and Magic" by Leonard Maltin, this old man would be Farmer Al Falfa, a character created by Paul Terry for the Bray studios before 1917, and which was still there in 1937. Unfortunately, the book doesn't contain a list of silent movies by Terry.

  • why, he's no farmer, he's the small town shiriff!!!!!!!!!!

  • I grew on on these cartoons.

Television damn sure has changed since I first watched these over 50 years ago.
