the gtr does 0-60 faster because its awd a lot more grip from the line same with the corners awd=more grip but awd does have a down side... its boring theres no power sliding no real fun its not boring but its not as fun as rwd competitors and yes you can put mods on it to be faster than a bugatti but putting mods on a car isnt saying the nissan gtr is faster than a bugatti its say a gtr with after market parts on it can make it faster because the parts arnt nissan anymore
nissan gtr can be very fast but for only a few laps on the track, especially the modified ones. f458 has a lot more endurance and can be used for many laps and with the right guys it can do hundreds of laps on pace, and so can the mercedes again with the right driver and mechanic

It can now be modded to have 1400hp, 0-60 in 1.9s, stock 2.9s, compared to 911TS 3.1s. GTR has 4Wheel, 2 more seats, a functionable trunk and $70,000 cheaper. MUCH better car for the price.

@toiletroom I totally agree with you. The GTR is really great from 0-200kmh. From 0-300 (~38s 530ps, 480ps 53s >fastestlaps) it is slower than the SLS, 458 etc. Plus the GTR did a great laptime around the NS BUT it is very expensive in the running costs. Due to the bigger weight i've read in several forums that it is good for 3-5 laps around the NS but it has a huge gas consumption, tire wear and overheighting problems.
I dont say it is a bad car. But every car has its pros and cons :-D

@skew613 Yes for Ferrari but not so much on MB since it's supposed to be a comfortable cruiser. Also, those turbos make the engine more vulnerable to overheating even if it has a cooling system which requires maintenance and may fail. That's why I like MB for trying to avoid forced induction and relying on lower revs, which slows down the wear and tear rate, to make the power.

I don't know if the Ferrari lasts as long since it has the 'Fix It Again, Tony' on its name but MB, I heard, does make long enough lasting engines since they tend to be lower revving which means less wear and tear to the parts. I think MB tries to avoid putting forced induction as it is harder than improving/complicating the parts.

I find this comparison/race seem a little odd, The ferrari is considered a sports car, the Mercedes a Luxury sports car (more luxury than sporty), the Nissan a tuner ( atleast in my book) so whats the point?

@carlielong21 Wrong, the Nissan 2012 Nissan will easily destroy both the Ferrari and MB SLS AMG both from 0-60 and 1/4 mile race and the Nurburgring as well. Google and see proof for yourself. The 2012 Nissan GT-R does 0-60 in 2.9s and I belief Motor Trend have the 2012 Nissan GT-R does 0-60 in 2.7s stock.

@kempowarrior Wrong, the GT-R is destroyed by sls and F458 because of the driver, the GT-R is slower in top speed (315) sls (318) F458 (+320) this is' cause they're correct, but in the Drag GT-R has more acceleration and has +2 seats + 1 large suitcase, while the others ....
summarizing the GT-R is faster than these two

@skew613 Yes for Ferrari but not so much on MB since it's supposed to be a comfortable cruiser. Also, those turbos make the engine more vulnerable to overheating even if it has a cooling system which requires maintenance and may fail. That's why I like MB for trying to avoid forced induction and relying on lower revs, which slows down the wear and tear rate, to make the power.

@ganesan1981 Maybe but it has two turbos which makes the engine more vulnerable to overheating even if it has an intercooler which needs maintenance and may FAIL. I don't know if the Ferrari lasts as long since it has the 'Fix It Again, Tony' on its name but MB, I heard, does make long enough lasting engines since they tend to be lower revving which means less wear and tear to the parts. I think MB tries to avoid putting forced induction as it is harder than improving/complicating the parts.
