I came across a while someone who would CONSTANTLY use the grab combos shown in the vid, usually on a hi-counter. Since I didn't and still don't know fully how to slow escape (which I'm assuming you have to know to get yourself out of this), it's just enraging to see her shear your health bar in half in one combo with absolutely nothing you can do able to stop it.

I disagree, she had various obvious disadvantages in the earlier installments. For instance Kasumi had a similar but less vulnerable move set. Whereas Ayane promotes HRHR playing, coming up against a consistently good Jan-Lee or Lei-Fang player for instance is interesting due to both having very good countering capabilites to Ayane's moveset. If you notice, in most of the games her most powerful moves are those that leave fairly big attack openings.

While I consider her higher-tier I wouldn't call her cheap, I would however agree that some VERY CHEAP players chose her. It's like declaring Chun-Li as "cheap" , Chun-Li was a fast character that was good for aggressive playstyles, but due to people continuously spamming her Hyakuretsukyaku (easily countered via zoning and move-priority tactics) and her jumping ability people called her 'cheap'. My point being we should blame the cheap players not the chars.Cheers.

to stop the kicks in midair (which usually goesa 3 at a time) what do you do? are you using an arcade stick on this? i always try to stop he kicks at the second one....do i use the FREE button to end combos?

Ayane is considered second hardest character to play due to almost every move turning you around leaving you highly vulnerable to a full combo from behind.

yeah she's predictable, BUT no one is fast enough to counter it at the right time. and once she gets you off the ground like she does all the time, you're screwed.

@ayaneforever Correction she is not that predictable and she isn't even that fast' kasumi and christie are faster plus its easy to counter anyone and ur not necessarily screwed if ayane gets u off the ground because most people will do retarded shit with Ayane be more logical and know the facts when talking about doa... :)

you can slightly extend the combo that started at 1:10 by (while in her back stance, hit back P)

It also makes them higher allowing you to do PP Forward KKK...while in back stance :P)

It will do more dmg and 1 more combo
