Nice video, but is anyone else with me on the new generation being really separated? To me it is just so weird to see all of these characters that are supposed to be part of the main cast, but you never see them. In the past two series, the first two episodes were full of the entire cast. However this one... we have characters like...

Matty... the mystery boy

or the boyfriend who is in the episodes so little I don't even know his name.

@BleednDreamz Nope. In series four, the cast was completely separated. While season 3 had everyone hanging out together, even though they weren't actually friends. This feels more realistic to me, they have their little groups that they hang out with but they're in the process of getting to know other people as well..look at Rich and Grace..

@dazzleme7 Supposedly they are supposed to come closer together as time goes on. However I don't particularly like how they are doing it. It is hard to really care about characters that feel like they aren't even part of the series.

In the past while there are centric character episodes, the general plot moved along and you got to see every character develop. (Pandora's party, and Cook's actions comes to mind. Or The episode before with the underground club/Gangster) This series its absent :(

However I did care about Effy after the first two episodes of the series she was a core part of. In fact it is hard to not care about characters when within the first 3 episodes fun lines are being thrown around like.

"Is Freddy here?" "No..." "And why didn't we invite Freddy?" "Because he's a fun sponge..." "You got it."

She was completely missing from JJ's, we only saw her briefly in the 1st episode. Same with Cook! He was missing in one of the episodes! I think all the characters had their turn of being missing from at LEAST one episode! This series, for me, is seriously the most realistic Skins has been. (Nick's episode is no.5 and Matty is a mystery)
