  • floresiensis, that's what it is.

  • Wonder if these strange hominds found iound on this remote Island are desendants of the newly discovered Denisova fossils.

  • Looks like the place where King Kong took place.

  • THATS WHERE BUSH WENT

  • you exagerrate too much.

  • All this shows is we have more to learn and shouldnt go thinking we already do

  • Bet they tasted like chicken.

  • This is no a human skull. This is a simple Monckey skull

  • It prolly was just a persom with a birth defect that had to go into exile. I mean look at the elephant man, If he would have been born back then he would have been burned at the stake for being the reincarnation of the devil, or what ever crazy as shit that the people of those days thought off.

I mean damn people of those days thought of some crazy shit man.

  • lmao @ how they just make a movie about what they looked like, and they don't even know if they put paint on their face or not.

  • @DaFawky That's what I was thinking. They show them with dramatic music in scenes of filth and violence giving ugly threatening looks to the camera.. What if they were clean and peaceful? Is that out of the question? All this from one set of remains. More entertainment than education, I say.

  • They're dwarves

  • maybe an alien....Idk jist guessing

  • Deformed human. End of discussion.

  • those are the remains of kimbo slice

  • i think they found my buddy vinnie

  • Think about Big Foot... so this is Little Foot?

  • you know what, next time when you write your comment here please think about other people im really offended by your comment!!! (alos there are midgets that live nearby, on that same island) u dont know nothing, im palauan and im not a midget!!!! ok !

  • Remember that size doesn't necessarily hint towards absolute intelligence. Look up hobbits. These people were denied nutrition, however, which wouldn't have helped them.

  • willy :)

  • O.o.. Most Masonic orders are integrated by really intelligent people.. Masterminds to be exact.. So the fact that they may want people to wake up and stop believing in a sci-fi book doesnt make them evil..

  • noob. theres to much evidence, i rather belive it than a translated book.

  • I THINK those skulls looks like the ones in papua new guinea if they have skins and called pacific islanders

  • lol ^_^

  • ALIENS

  • Who knows what type other hominid species lived that we don't know about yet.

  • lol thats really bad, but really funny!

  • That reconstruction looks alot like aborigenes from Australia and Papua

  • You have a very intricate plot going on there, perhaps it's from experience and not just supposition?

  • it's a joy and a comfort that you will likely never meet someone who will continuously put up with your pre-pubescent antics

  • weird that the scientists didn't assume that they had boats

  • iits a fcking umpa lumpa

  • haha ^^

  • its a monkey skull, no?

  • You are a monkey xD... do you understand english ?

  • whoa

  • Hobbits realy use to exist

  • It did exist. The hobbit you talk about is called Homo Floresiensis. Probably the same type shown in this vid. Those Hobbits were common found on little islands. (probably to escape predators, beacause they were small, I dont know for sure) Science and archeology knows much! But orthority doesn't want us to know, too bad isnt? :) (schoolbooks would be more interessting)

  • 1:03?

  • think of all the unexplored parts of earth, there really are out there!

  • it is a goblin skull, I bet,

btw why is the size an issue ? never heard of the Pygmies and Khoisan ?

Could easily be that they are the nearest

kind of humans to our stone age ancestors...

  • im from palau.. and this i never knew, and its so amazing...

  • Wiki search "Homo_floresiensis"

  • Okay i havent finnished watching this yet but i have a question for those watching

Do you think there are other human like people out there living right now, and do you think they know of us, would they do harm to us and why ?

  • Theres billions of planets, i dont think its possible that theres no other life out there, human like, hard to say, single bit of enviromental change can change the entire evolution so i doubte it. know about us possible, but anythings possible its up to are imagination.

  • It's an alien skull

  • maybe it was deformed and exiled as it was thought to be a demon...hate to say it because you guys got some great vids but your blowing it out of porportion

  • maybe it was just a small individual

  • almost frekich

  • small scull

  • earliest settelers arrived in Palau 3 to 4 thousand years ago?!?! I find Bergers discovery a big load of BS.

  • i was looking at halo skulls and this was in the related things and i clicked it and it not halo

  • lmao same!

  • This might explain why people from differnt places look differently. One place(section) might have different food options.

  • Hmm... If that was true than wouldn't people in third world countries have already evolved? Many countries have suffered from lack of food for hundreds of years yet no evidence of drastic evolution is shown. I think these were just a small class of humans like the "hobbit creature."

  • hundreds of years is no where near close of a time to have evolved majorly

  • I have come to the conclusion that a band of bullies (normal height) went there and killed the little people out of cruelty.

  • perhaps..cavemen?

    idk just a guess

  • 00:21 look in the bottom left corner... FISHY!

  • Some people still to Sacra-legiouse Sacrifices on babies still. If they live in a Remoted Islands that no one has ever intered that place before. And now they are saying they found new speciamen?!

I don't believe in this! It could be a small Marmesett monkey. Or a Squirel Monkey.

  • i know... they invent this whole race of savage halflings from one skull fragment

  • very interesting!!!!

  • grew up in Palau and heard a lot of stories of folks who were banished from villages cause they had leprosy/birth defects society was cruel then. Other stories of people from neighboring islands and continents; todays we have Palauans of PapuaNewGeane, Philipino, Idonesian, Japanese, Spanish and etc,, decents.

  • yup,, i heard that story too (from my grandfather). He said that, sick Filipinos (usually with leprosy), where isolated in an island during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines. I don't know if there was any other race who are also sent to that island....

  • well duh they did u kno a skull is in the body? lol

  • Actually certain species of skulls can be found in trees.

  • lol pwned

  • "Up the airy mountain

    Down the ferny glen

    We dare not go a-huntin

    For fear of little men"

    (British folk rhyme)

Interesting piece. Seems to be the first physical evidence of the "little people" spoken of in myths and legends around the world.

  • little people..are magic mushrooms.

  • very amusing

  • Well, there was only one skeleton, so it could've been a fluke. I mean, mentally handicapped people sometimes have oddly shaped heads, so that is definitely a distinct possibility. But of course, that won't even be considered since it doesn't prove evolution. Just retardation.

  • The entire NG program hasn't been shown in the US yet, although it was shown here in Asia. There were hundreds of skeletons in two different caves on opposite sides of the main Palau island....

  • I don't understand how they would have settled in these certain islands which are uncultivatable. This is certainly in contrast with the theory of early Palauans who were blessed with an abundance of natural resources which made them focus on politics, arts, and economy. Wow!! Would it be possible that they coexisted with other settlers or early palauans?? FASCINATING!

  • I'm a Palauan and I live near one of the caves. This has really challenged my knowledge of our history. I am dumbfounded and fascinated at the same time!!!

  • Another "teaser" from National Geographic!

  • Another thought - Palau is 500+ miles from anywhere. For these people to arrive in Palau - they would have had to come by ship. They would have had to have a population large enough to produce more people. If they had simple canoes - this would have made it easier to move around the islands - collecting fish and seafood. Palauans eat fish like Americans eat beef. Fish is SO plentiful. I just don't buy the "no protein" theory, not with my knowledge of Palau.

  • CONTINUED - Today, the rock islands are not inhabited. The area is used for fishing, vacation, scuba diving, etc. Other areas are inhabited - which allow for farming, etc. Palau has dozens of caves - but they are moist & the air humid - these bones lasting all these years is astonding. If anyone watches Survivor Micronesia - this was actually filmed in the Rock Islands of Palau.

  • I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Palau, and lived there for 10 years. The Rock Islands they show would be difficult to live on - but the lack of protein doesn't make sence. The food available would be items collected from the sea - clams, fish, etc. All items rich in protien. These people would have difficulty in collecting fruits, vegitables, etc.

  • You don't understand evolution, obviously.

    We didn't come from apes.

We descended from a common ancestor.

Do some research and get a clue.

  • wow! thats soo cool, i would love to know more!

  • Seems sort of flimsy to me. It could've been people banished BECAUSE they looked different or something. I guess we shall see.

  • my guess is that a cavebaby was found by a cruel caveman and the baby had some kind of disease or something and back then they didn't really know about diseases so they killed the baby.

  • mak kij hun mkj kiu yt edw

  • mak kij hun mkj kiu yt edw

  • This just demonstrates genetic variation within one species (humans) due to environmental influences which can happen very rapidly as even concluded by this very video...yet they still reference the find as having something to do with the evolution myth...it is simply a variation.

  • I agree. It seems like they are jumping to conclusions.

  • That's not even that small. They also found a new species in a cave in Java that are the size of a three year old human.

  • Darwinists don't want to become apes, because then they would have to compete with Creationists who have already been very experienced apes for centuries.

  • they're ompa lompas, willy wonka has the few surviors slaved in this chocolate factory.

  • whatever!! what do you know anyways.....

  • The skulls are shaped much differently than human skulls, midget or otherwise. Darwinists don't want to become apes, they just don't see anything "lowly" about evolving from things less intelligent, and see a lot of obvious evidence that points to evolution being fact. People who want to believe in Adam and Eve have their right to do so, but a lot of people don't just accept simple answers that are written in a very old book as fact, and thats their right.

  • they might be people who were small and not accepted by community and abandon in that island so they there trapped.or may be what you think is right ............

  • oh my goodness people!!

if you look back to what how many thousand years ago we migrated from polynesia, milenasia ok we did not get abondoned ok go learn the history of the pacific!!!!!!

  • "apeism" LOL!

  • Oompa loompas

  • Ha ha, I've seen people that look like that on the city bus.

  • LOL that's funny

  • Protein deficiency doesn't make sense in my mind

(many) Geneticists feel the jump between the small ape brain and ours is owing to 6 identifiable genes.

Would lack of meat cause the regression of these genes? Why didn't the people fish for meat?

I wonder the conclusions found by the end of this National Geographic series

  • Smaller skull does not mean regression of those 6 genes. A smaller skull & body can evolve without that too. Also, it is not just the absolute size of the skull that determines intelligence, but the relative weight of brain to the whole body and the interconnections between the different parts of the brain. So, just becuase these skulls wre small does not automatically mean these small people were no smarter than apes.

  • A pan-head or flat face

  • UMPA lUMPAS!!!!!!!

  • shit! thats hella scary

  • oh god...i'm taking human evolution and these kind of things I hear in my class all the time!

  • look like Uruk-hai to me?

  • Wow I want one for a pet no offense to little people.

  • this sucks not trying to be mean srry

  • It doesn't suck, you just don't like it.

  • They found some neantherdals. big woop.

  • These guys are professionals, if they were Neanderthals they would have known as soon as they saw the fossils. And the possibility of any human-like species, Neanderthal or or otherwise, living just only 3000 years ago (while elsewhere humans were already living in large and well-established civilizations and empires) is a HUGE difference in what was previously held as fact in science.

  • lol oddball

  • maybe its like bigfoot, the missing piece to evolution. except these people named ironically...

  • Why is this really considered human? Could be an ape, humans and apes have very similar structures and it wouldn't be the first time bones were misidentified. The flat face, the brow ridge, and smaller size just says ape.

  • Could these have been the first people to populate the western Pacific ocean?

  • could be its so exciting!!!

  • Leprechauns!!:P

  • It makes you wonder about all the stuff on this planet that we don't know or haven't discoverd yet. It could be endless.

  • I believe in Sasquatch, really I do!. I hope this discovery leads to science at least thinking about more seriously.

  • I was thinking big nose small eyes.. maybe the ancestors of MeatLoaf (the singer, not food, people.)

  • Must be genetic drift accelerated by a small population.

  • HOBBITS!

JK i remember reading about this in the paper when it happened.

  • haha...

flight 29 down, the show, the kids were gonna go to Palau for their eco trip.

  • The evolutionary background on islands are cool

  • yay. it's not a repost.

  • If you arent sure how it proves it, then chances are it is not proof. Thousands of scientists all around the world have proof you are wrong, and THEY'RE sure how their proof constitutes proof. My money is on the folks with the educations.

  • for goodness sake, can't you people tell I was joking?

  • wow, i didn't know people could evolve so quickly

  • setting my cable box for Monday ............

  • yeah, because you KNOW how every asian person is 4 feet tall, has a small skull, overly flat nose, small eyes and a broad forehead

  • Freakyyyy

  • i remember reading somewhere that when the "Japanese" first started populating what is now modern day Japan, there were primitive, animal like people dwelling there. I wonder if there is any connection

  • this was on the news not that long ago. why are sum negative? "assumptions"?

  • haha homo florensiensis! EVOLUTION rules!

  • The background music makes it so scary.

  • Cool!!

  • assumptions..

  • where is this?

  • sexy indeed

  • fuck first comment people

  • Looks like creationism is proved after all!

  • sexy

  • looks like my cousin

  • Hehe that's so cool.

  • lol little people.

  • a little 2 much speculation in this one

  • cool video

  • This will happen to the radical vegans if they marry each other. I know a girl who has a mental illness because her parents were hippie vegans and she got almost no portein as a child. She has lots of problems because her diet starved her brain and prevented growth. Her doctors tell him they can't do anything about it. Sad that her parents did this to her.

  • if any one believes you in this they will believe anything you say !

  • It's called eating beans, nuts, veggies and fruits. Tons of protein comes from these veg*n sources.

  • wow this is so cool! are these discoveries the same as the ones where they found "hobbit" remains?

  • interesting

  • wow that was really cool

  • Kinda freaks me out

  • Big Douchebag!!
