You people crack me up, how you can deduce the very personal details of their relationship out of 2 minute youtube video. Wanda is a comedian... this interview is for laughs more than anything else. I'm sure some of it is based in truth but trust me when I say its mainly for entertainment purposes. Wanda keeps the real details OUT of public interviews because of people exactly like you, who embellish details to draw your own conclusion about what you think you know.
I love Wanda. I think she is just absoluty great and funny. I dont know what I think about Wendy though. She's kindof out there and scare's me alittle.

Wanda didn't say she didn't want black children, just that she didn't need for her kids to look like her. I like that about her. If they chose a donor they knew, then they chose a man they were comfortable with regardless of race. @ mayterrance - I'm totally 100% in agreement w/ u! My initial impression was that I DO NOT believe Wanda intended on co-parenting and perhaps never took part in the process. Knowing this, her now wife perhaps felt that if their relationship every ended, it would be much better for her as a white woman to find a mate w/ white kids vs. mix/blk ones...I guess once the babies came, things changed and now Wanda is left having to explain away the obvious: There was NO desire to have mix-race kids.
@ mayterrance - #1, I honestly believe that Wanda NEVER intended on motherhood but hooked up w/ a younger chick who was persistent on having kids. She didn't want to lose her entirely but most likely encouraged her to ONLY consider a white sperm donor 'just in case'. Perhaps she had reservations about their relationship and in the back of her mind she thought it would be much easier to avoid paying out thousands of dollars in child and spousal support if their relationship should ever end.
#2 - I think Wanda's silly jokes are EXTREMELY disrespectful to her wife and EVERY other white woman out there who are successfully raising blk children! Yes it is true that blk hair may poise some challenges for white mothers, but Wanda's wife has the financial luxury of hiring help as well as learning from Wanda herself -- goodness, it's not rocket science!

I think Wanda Sykes is full of shit. If her children had been adopted, then fine save the children, there would be a reason for them to be one race (white) but if you're purposely creating children, why not have them be half of your race. If she is proud of who she is, then why wouldn't she want HER children to share some of her Black identity. There is no excuse, and frankly I'm disgusted.

Plenty of White women have mixed children and have had to figure out how to care for their hair. If Wanda is so big and bold then why not just tell the truth and say "I didn't want Black children" sickening but that's how she really feels or her kids would be biracial.
