chip is a good man! unlike boyd coddington chip treats people with respect, boyd came off to me like a prick with money. shame to see boyd pass away but foose is where its at, watch overhaulin hes in there getting dirty where as on american hot rod boyd just yelled and complained to his guys and just sat in his office.

Boyd gave chip his start.

Chip makes his guys work day & night to complete a 7 day build in overhaulin.

Boyd had paying customers demanding the cars to be built! It wasn't Boyd who made the fucking deadlines!

Boyd Coddington was a qualified machinist who worked hard to make a mark.

You all wouldn't know what it takes to run a business, you selfish stupid disrespectful young fools!

Its like training up a plumber and as soon as he has completed the aprenticeship he goes into business against you.

@toffy57 .....Chartpak AD markers are light years better then cheapy,crap, dry before you get them home, Prismacolor crap.... AD markers are FAR superior.. next to Copic

Don't get me wrong I love Foose, he's the best there is, but i have yet to see him actually do a tough vehicle on his show, something rare, like mine, an early dodge ram. Something original for a change. Can't find after market parts for it, no one makes em. Everything he's done to date is just more of the same crap that's been done a million times over by every turd with a tool set. I'd love to see someone do something different for a change... gawd!

Dodge ain't that tough opposed to a Chevy!lol. Chip probably views the old 4wd trucks chevy/ford/dodge as garbage redneck vehicles. Chip is good with classic cars but he's definitely not a 4wd truck builder/restorer. Things I don't like about him is he puts 20-21inch wheels on everything. 3 tone paint jobs looks ridiculous, even 2 tone looks dumb @ times. I prefer trucks/blazers any day over a queer looking classic car.

Well The BIG Chip Foose! he is a genious... I remember wen I saw him in over haulin, once draw a line sports car with fire, and then three weeks later saw that Foose had the same idea for one of its models, was great knowing that I had a great idea and talent :D Chip is great

Those guys left boyd because boyd only make'd them work 24/7 because of his impossible deadline's.. They left because they wanted too, not because foose "stealed them" okay maybe they have a bigger paycheck : good for them!

But I'm quite sure they are better of with foose

And the working ambiance at Boyd's is really unhealthy. I'm basing this on the TC show. Chip Foose seems like a really nice guy who is serious and who respects his employees and colleagues.

Lester1Beck: All the greats study under other greats. Both Boyd and Chip are masters of their craft. There is a reason why Boyd's guys leave to go work for Chip. These may be personal or whatever but I don't think Chip goes ans "Steals" Boyd's guys.
