The QC is something I've experienced myself. But it was not only a matter of quality control, but the way the early F800's were built on the production line. BMW has fixed most of the known issues, first by modifications available to the 2006-2007 models and changes in the production line in 2007. My 2006 ST had undergone several modifications to the clutch, pulley, software updates. Not sorry that I got the ST and about the time I had this great bike. Upgraded to a R1200GSA in 2008.
I agree it is a sweet bike, but I disagree about it costing too much money. I purchased my blue ST with ABS, OBC, heated grips, white signals, and center stand for what I feel is a great price. Compare the BMW with a Honda VFR and I think the BMW is priced very reasonably.
A superb choice of backdrop for this vid. Nice bike too, very tempted to get one myself.
