wonderful setup and great tv. I love the lg brands, but I soort of lacked wanting one when they removed the rca audio out from it and a tip I learned for home theater is that the subwoofer only uses half of its power with .1 and if you choose sound better in the middle of the room. By the way what song I corrine bailey ray singign because it sounds nice.

What I mean is, I found a good deal on the B&W's. When I was buying the TV around 2006 flat panels were still very expensive, especially for a 60". Since then they have dropped by 50% or more. If I was buying now I would have something in a complete different class. The B&W speakers on the other hand are still current and the same price is the same. In 2 more years, where will the TV tech be? Way ahead of where it is now. Assuming no huge breakthrough the speakers will be close to the same.

The majority of people buy LCD because it's brighter and they think brighter is better. Many customers I install for have their sets next to windows, so LCDs are better in that case.

Most of the time however, plasmas beat LCDs in every category. Significantly better contrast (plasma static contrast > LCD dynamic contrast), they display 10/12 bit colour, where LCDs are 8 bit, and they display much deeper blacks.

Both LCDs and plasmas are usually replaced instead of repaired.

Wrong. Plasma is better for colour reproduction, and deeper blacks. Do some research numbnuts. More people buy LCD because they are ill informed and LCD for the most part is cheaper.

Great system. I used to sell B&W speakers - Those look more like the 803S - but could be 804s - it's been awhile.  I have a full Linn stereo setup but haven't gone home theatre yet. great picture on that TV too.

Amazing setup man! B&W speakers = top of the line! Sunfire true eq subwoofer = top of the line. I have a couple grudges against it though.

1. Can't really tell by your video, but your receiver doesn't seem sufficient enough for those speakers unless you have a seperate amp for them.

2. Rear speaker placement isn't the best, but I'm guessing you were going for a clean look.

3. TV is just middle of the line. LG is good but not great, and given the quality of your speakers I would guess you'd go for something better. If you are in the market for a new better TV, the best TV BY FAR is Pioneers elite Kuro TV.  Ya it is pricey but nothing compares to it!

I know it wasnt high end by any means. but i spent about 1/2 what i would have to something higher end. Especially since ive had it for almost 2 years now. One day ill go up to a 1080P higher end. But this looks amazing with 1080I. im still holding out for Bluray as well. One day.

Awesome to hear you got a Mcintosh amp, great choice. I hope it is enough to power those speakers since they are power hungry.

For bluray, I suggest a PS3. Yes it is a gaming system, but for $500 it is one of the best out, and it is constantly updated. Stand alone blu-ray players are not. So software wise it can't be beat. Bluray is WELL worth it. Try Casino Royale when you do get bluray. Great quality. Once again great setup.

LG is poor Brand , Its the one of the worse Makers of Plasma around , LG fits in the low Budget end , Mid Range = Sony & Samsung High Range = Panasonic & Pioneer , For Plasma.

I know what im talken about , My life is Gadgets and Electronics and LG is not a very good Brand at all, Poor picture , Even on the new Range the picture is ok on HD , But watch someone like Football with fast Motion and you soon see why i rate the LG Low , It cant Handle fast moving Action well at all !

I got this 60" at a high end store... not a chain store, a dedicated home theater store. doesnt mean that its good. but the 1080i picture that i see that comes out of it is perfect. very dark blacks, no blur, no distortion, very fast IMO. I know dude its an ok Plasma if you have Sky HD or watch HD Movies, but the LG does look Dreadful on normal SD, All the rest of your system is very good but LG lets it down alittle and any Cinema or Hi Nut will tell you the same, Should maybe sale the LG and invest in Panasonic or Pioneer Screen :)

i have the 50" LG 3000 model, and the pictures is amazing on HD and bluray and surprisingly good on SD. i think it just depends on what HDMI lead you use, i mean you can get one for 7Pound or spend 80pound.

but yeh panasonic and pioneer are seen to be the best but LG is a good buy and they look great. nice set up
