  • oops, wrong race

  • this guy did the kentucky derby this year

  • lmfao

  • really cool. His Ed Burgart could use some work, but that was quite impressive.

  • Good race.

  • Nice ! Nice!

  • its peter griffen

  • Great job.., very funny......Michael Wrona is one of the most underrated of race callers.

  • BIG DICK IN THE 8TH HES SURE TO COME! FORGET ABOUT IT HORSERACING FROM A BETTING STANDPOINT IS A LOSING GAME!

  • Frank just got the announcer's job at oaklawn park.

  • i dont get it? i live in england, so is that a problem?:L x

  • An insult.

  • besthorsetips.webs.com

  • Boohhh:

My Wife Doens't know / My wife knows everything and ARRRRRRR are way better!

  • This race call was homage to the late Luke k. who used to call races at Churchill Downs , Ellis Park and Turf Paradise. Good job Frank. R.I.P. Luke Kryutbosch.

  • too funny.

  • @lbo554 Apparently you didn't know Vigors, Cozzene, Bedouin, Lady's Secret . or her mother Great Lady M. !

  • My first time seeing this and the only way you don't get it is if you don't go to the track. He hit all of their styles. I particularly thought Luke K was the best in the business. Glad to see him give Larry C some love too. To the people that didn't like it, I think if you actually knew the people he was mimicing you would have a greater appreciation for the video. That was pretty special in my opinion.

  • Color has nothing to do with running ability. Ever heard of Native Dancer? Spectacular Bid? Monarchos? All grays. Great racers.

  • @SuperCharlieKitty Spectacular Bid was actually a roan. That's why he turned white in his later years.

  • @dwarflover63 -- grays turn white...roans stay virtually the same. The gray gene causes the horse to turn lighter each year-- getting more and more white hairs until they are white (often with dark flecks -- "flea bitten grey"). Roans have white hairs mixed into a dark colored coat (there are many variations) their legs and heads will stay dark. Spectacular Bid was a grey but the jockey club registers grays and roans under the same color title: gr/r as they are genetically similar

  • Respond to this video... How many of those people actually go to the track? We need people to come to the races. Watching a video isn't the same thing. Off track betting is what has done the most damage to racing. If people are just going to watch replays or even worse, just bet and never even look at the horses they may as well be animated or robots. Overbreeding has done it's share of hurting horseracing too.Too many young horses running too soon is just a recipe for disaster.

  • @dwarflover63 Overbreeding? Foal crops are dropping every year. So that's the opposite of what is taking place. Also, young horses raced a lot more in the past than they do now---check out Seabiscuit's record sometime. The spread of gambling that has much lower takeout (casinos) is what hurt horse racing---it used to have no competition, now it has a ton of competition and it can't keep up.

  • I am from California, involved in racing and am very familiar with Luke, Trevor, Lukas, and yes I know who Rodney Dangerfield is and that one WAS recognizable. I wonder how the owners of the horses in that race appreciated it. I wouldn't have. He could have done it on a replay or something but to do it during a race was unprofessional and inconsiderate.

  • @dwarflover63 This Video has 195K hits....as a person "involved in racing" you should appreciate anything that brings that much attention to horse racing these days,

  • ONE OF THE GREATEST CALLS EVER, AMAZING!

  • What do you do to make a race fun and entertaining ? ? ? And we wonder why racing is in trouble ? The race itself, the horses, the jockeys, the sights, sounds, and scents of a day at the races are what make it exciting .God forbid there is a spill ,some people almost hope for that to make it "exciting" . And by the way, he also mispronounced Luke's last name and considering he is no longer with us and is sadly missed, it is doubly insulting.

  • Yikes! The Philly park guy and Trevor Denman were GREAT!

  • I could make up stupid horse names too! like... the dog named Cake, or bob... I would name mine Fusachi Pegasus U.U waay cooler!

  • Not even mildly amusing.

  • @dwarflover63 You're mildly ignorant.

  • @Dmode1001 I stand by my original comment. His impressions were terrible. If they had been good he wouldn't have had to tell you who they were before each one. The only one that was even close was Ed Burgart. Other than that...

  • @dwarflover63 had this a two-minute race, you would've seen less of his goofiness. But this was a long boring race. What do you do to make a race fun and entertaining???

  • @dwarflover63 ARE YOU KIDDING? His impressions were DEAD ON! EVERY ONE OF THEM! Get the feeling you're not familiar with most of them by your comment........Jack Buck, Hank Stram, Dangerfield, Lukas, Denman, Luke, this was the most AMAZING call ever heard during the running of a race!

  • They forgot Arnold Schwarznegger at the beginning there.

  • Comment removed

  • "Whats a matta wit you what I say to you we gotta whole 'notha lap to go, Dave." Freaking hilariouis.

  • An AMAZING call.....for those who dislike, you obviously don't get it, nor know the announcers he was addressing, because that was EPIC, WOW...........Absolutely fantastic!

  • Marvellous, simply marvellous. I even recognize a brief imitation of the Turfway track announcer there, and what sounded like a Trevor Denman style of call on the final turn.

  • What a bore! Did not understand a word of it ,as I am not wind tunnel literate!

  • lol was he high?

  • That was great. I was at Turf one day when it was announced that Marv Albert was about to call a race. I would have sworn it was really Marv. Hilarious! I miss Frank on TVG.

  • @panda4241 TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!

  • That's awesome! Long races are a great change of pace...but, holy heck, they can sure be boring as heck as everyone is just loping along until the last 1/2-1/4 or so. A caller like this who can make it entertaining should be worth his weight in gold to the racetrack.

  • That was werid

  • worse race callers in the world

  • I still want Zeinab Badawi's Twenty Hotels and Two Headed Sex Beast, though.

  • This guy should be a voice actor or something, he's fantastic.

  • "This is Frank Mirahmadi, here on the EIB network!..."

  • Awesome, bot I did not hear the master Tom Durkin.

  • Bravo!~ Great great job Frankie.

  • I find this call as very disrespectful to the horses that are risking their lives to run this race...

  • @horshooer Surreee, Risking lives...

  • horrible

  • I love the Keith Jones impression! LOL He has such a unique voice and this guy does it perfect!

  • I never use profanity on YouTube posts, but this merits an exception - this sucks a million giraffe dicks!

  • lol yeah i remember this i watched this race at the off track betting and while the race was running i didnt know what the heck was going on. Burgart from Los Al is my favorite track announcer of all time so I was glad he saved that one for last

  • @CallMeJabber Yeah, He calls QH races like no one, The Announcer also did a great Trevor Dedmon, The Voice of So Cal Thouroghbreds.

  • @RPULTZ69 His name is Trevor Denman and he is the greatest African American race caller in the history of racing calling.

  • @samynonthegreen RPULTZ was correct, it was Phil Georgeff, Trevor's impersonation is from 2:47-3:08. Also, while Trevor is from South Africa and now lives in the U.S., he is caucasian and therefore not "African-American" in the accepted use of the phrase. But I agree he is the greatest race caller ever of any background. And does anyone know why Frank Miramahdi stopped doing impersonations this year on his calls on the CA fair circuit?

  • @ranger5830 Trevor Denmen is burn and raised in Africa not the Caucasus. He has never even been to the Caucasus. He is an African- American.

  • @ranger5830 Thank You Ranger. Frank, now works for TVG

  • @RPULTZ69 I know Frank works for TVG, and I enjoy his work there, but he also calls the races on the Northern California fair circuit, and he used to do one of his impersonations during the last race every day. This year, he didn't do that, just did a straight call for the last race, and I was wondering why he stopped the impersonations.

  • "and their comin' down the straight", "what you talking about, got another lap yet" LMAO

  • Even the 3 voices I didn't recognize were hilarious and versatile.

  • that was a great call!! maybe he can throw in Dick Vitale next year ,that would be sweet BABY!!!

  • I've never seen anything like this, how cool.

  • haha wow

  • Wow, he sure can do impressions of a lot of obscure and unknown people.

No offence but everybody's good at doing impressions of people nobody's heard of.

This is funny though, cause in Australia it would be sacreligious to make jokes while announcing a horse race. It's refreshing. lol

  • LOL!!!!

  • Hehehe. This is quite funny. :)

  • Loved It!....Particularly Ed Bugart.

  • "we do have another lap to go" XD

  • I hate it when he calls races on Gate Crashers.. TVG should pony up the cash.. with that said, very classy at the end of the call...

  • Out of the 21 voices he did (& is listed in the description bar), I only recognized 5 of them unfortunately.

  • Nice tribute to Kruytbosch at the end..

  • Dave Johnson...LOL!!!!!

    Funny shit!

  • Was that the ol' Phil Georgeff's "Spinning into the turn???"

  • @roasted420 you bet

  • Frank is awsome. He did the voices of the great Joe Hernandez (Santa Anita) and Harry Henson (Hollywood Park) in the film "Seabiscuit." He once called each race on the final day of a Hollywood Park meet using the voice of a different announcer. Does anyone have this to post? I'd love to hear it.

  • Was he sacked... should be!

  • lmfao 2days fan appreciation day im the only 1 who had 2 pay admission its the story of my life

  • I think Tony Calo is doing Oaklawn Park races now

  • no, hes doin finger lakes

  • Frank The Tank that was great

  • Awesome :)

  • omg this is so funny

  • Can someone tell me what's funny about that.....

  • so fake

  • ghaha do we have another lap to go

    aawhahah so funny xd

  • This was brilliant. He hit just about every one of those on the head.

  • I think he should have done tom durkin

  • Forgot Luke ... whatever his name is... on the description.

Surprised he didn't try to do Tom Durkin. =P

  • hilarious a think a missed that part :| cuzz there was noutt funny :S x

  • That guy sure has talent.

  • IT'S NOT THAT FUNNY BUT IT IS UNIQUE

  • Actually the keith jones was horrible,,the wayne lukas was dead on on

  • Hilarious stuff. Too bad that guy doesn't announce all the time:)

  • he does the california fair curcut alot.

  • that was an amazing trevor denman

  • sounds like a cross between daffy duck and rodney dangerfield

  • I don't know about this being funny, it certainly is interesting!

  • the durkin refrence was and down the strech they come. the Keith Jones was dead on

  • That was a Dave Johnson reference. Tom Durkin wasn't mentioned.

  • i miss tony calo :(

  • Well, now hes calling Finger Lakes

  • yea but i have never seen a race there it is to much of an unknown track :(

  • This is awesome. I usually like him also. Sad he didnt do Vic Stauffer, or Tom Durkin...but he did a great job...Alan Buckdawl.....WOWO...that was a blast from the past.

  • he actually did do Vic i think. At 2:23 he says "you better take a look at so and so, he's sixth now but by the quarter pole he could be first" Vic often will say when a horse is 2nd or 3rd that he "could be the new leader at the quarter pole"

  • your absolutely right

  • well I will give credit to Frank his voice was very close to Tony Calo in the begining that it was almost authenic

  • I love Frank, he makes a long race entertaining. It is so much fun to hear different race callers.

  • @bhuang8 That "Here they come, spinning out of the turn" was Phil Georgeff the former voice of Illinois Racing

  • If this isn't funny, what IS funny?

  • Shut up.

  • FEERANK>>>YOU IS DA BESTEST!

  • Classic..

  • Robert DeNiro

    jaja

  • Frank is the best!!!

  • God Bless!
