Watch the 70's version. It was normal. OK the clothes were a bit...well....70's but at least the families were on acid and not speed, like these bunch of debt-ridden worthless losers. This theme tune is awful on a colossal scale, which generally sums up the way of live these days in rip off Britain.
I remember these creadits for 2001 they rocked because it's such a dancey tune. I remember these these creadits for 2001 was got but not as hot as the ones in 1993. Because when they changed the creadits to these I thought these are OK and a great to dance too but thy aren't fab as the ones back in 1993. I remember when Andy Collins did this he was a rubbish host. Vernon is a fab host but nobody hosted this better than Les Dennis if it's not there I'll give you the money myself the memories.
You know what Inverdarroch88 your right Bob Monkhouse was the best host of family fortunes. What year did he do it? And Les Dennis was the second best host of this show.
in fairness it aint vernon kay killing it.. it is TALKBACK Thames.. the producers.. they dun the revivial 2 the price is right tht was a disaster, so is this.. with vernon kay presenting a more normal like editon i think it wdnt be tht bad,,
Hey! So I guess there are some more similarities between the US and the UK in the game show department!
Because it was FremantleMedia who was killing "Family Feud" for a while when it came back in 1999, but since they redid the set and logo to make it seem closer to the original, it seems they're making up for it.
You know what I'd honestly like to see? The 1976 (or 1988) "Family Feud" theme used on "Family Fortunes." Since the UK once used the 1972 "Price is Right" theme on its version (as well as the 1994 "New Price is Right" theme on "Bruce's Price is Right"), I see no reason why this can't be done. It would be an interesting mix.
This is probably the last great series of Family Fortunes before Andy Collins, Vernon Kaye and the buffoons at ITV completely ruined it. A shame because it was one of the best TV shows of the 90s.
If I were comparing Family Fortunes to our version (Family Feud) 6 years ago, I would put your version above ours. I feel bad for the ****ty edition you have with Vernon Kaye, who would get his *** kicked by John O' Hurley in a hosting battle.
This is one of my favourite ones ever, it is so relevant to surveys, particually it involved "Play or pass" and "Our Survey said!" So gooood! I like the music too, they really ruined the theme in 2002 and 2006!
I think it would be hilarious if the families danced on the U.S. version.

Can't stand Les Dennis or his incarnation of Family fortunes. Bob Monkhouse was far better and so is Vernon Kay.

Bob, Max, and Les were good.
Vernon was not so good.
I don't have any idea about Andrew, however.

That opening is a little... Odd.
Doesn't seem to fit the show much... Especially doesn't fit the second half of the intro... Which is more FF-like.
