@SaintsFear True it wasn't scary, but the confined spaces, the tricky camera angles, and atmosphere made it creepy as hell. The newer games, mainly RE5, have gone with more of a open enviorment, action gameplay. There wasn't really any part in RE5 that gave you a feeling of dread. You pretty much knew when something was going to pop out. I love all the games equally in their own way. Operation Raccoon City looks awesome and 6 looks like its blending the tension fill atmosphere with action
and the reason they seem invinsible is because they know how to handle all the zombie types they work with the people that created the t-virus, so they have the armor, weapons,equipment, ect.
@MrNojkjk because they can still die, the only difference is they know how to handle all the zombie types so can avoid theyre strength, and they have the armor to protect them. And you know how boring a zombie game would be if you couldnt die? + in this game you become a zombie if you get bitten.
I love how Leon is just standing there at the beginning basically waiting for the soldiers to be in sight. When playing RE2, I had to book it like a mad man right off the bat just to survive until the police station!

they are changing the approach to make the multiplayer easier. This game is just to let us know how it was during the event. They were more focused on the multiplaying more than story I think.

i can tell this is going to be an amazing game like all other resident evil games. The only part which could be improved is to give a dramatic (or very bloody/gory) cutscene to introduce the licker like on Resident Evil 2 rather than just go into a car park and its just there on the ceiling
Looks great. I really hope they polish the shit out of it though, i can already see the bugs rfom the game play, however it is still a work in progress.
What would make this game extremely epic, is if you really felt scared, like you were the soldier going through this the feeling the older resident evil games gave you, that feeling and game play from the older games connected to this, = most epic game of the year. And make the zombies a bit harder to kill, this would be epic, also to the person who made this, why exactly were you having a shooting spasm here: 2:40 by that i mean why were you shooting at the places it's obviously not in.

what happened to the good old days where you had to shoot for the head to kill a zombie and lickers almost killed you in one hit and enemys DIDNT DROP AMMO AND HEALTH, back in the old games you had to work for that ammo and conserve now its like, kill an enemy O LOOK SHOTGUN ROUNDS before you would wish for a puzzle just so you could be rewarded with some presios ammo

@Hellman97 Yeah, but see, the thing here is, from a business point of view the developers see that action fast paced games are trendy now, and it makes sence that they would go in this path at these times. It's a nice set of pace for those unformiliar with the seires and whom are new. I personaly like the old school RE but this looks really cool too.

@Hellman97 For one in the "Good old days" You could really only hit them in the head except with a shot gun up close and though the enemy's didn't drop health and ammunition it was still in the most random of places for the dumbest reasons and in abundance.

@HDDCclips I know this is an old post but you could beat REmake (not sure if RE1 is THAT much harder to prevent that) in like 2 hours if you rushed and new it well, you had to beat it in under 3 hours for the infinte rpg if memory serves. Just sayin' but I think this is better than Las Plagas and I can't wait! I think RE is getting more back on track, old style enemies what with Revelations, RE6 and this. RE5 was a disgrace to the series, the co-op is the only thing that saved it IMO.
@HDDCclips Yeah don't get me wrong. I enjoyed Mercenaries mode as a pass the time kinda thing. I enjoyed playing with another person, to me it feels more realistic too that you'd be with someone. Instead of keep spliting up persay but I by far will say Lost In Nightmares and Desperate Escape were 100 times better than the actual game. Hopefully Capcom listens to the fans, seems at least t-virus is gonna be back. Why I'd rather have this then RE5 replica. RE5 is an RE4 replica in style
what happened? capcom moved on. created something new that would attract a larger audience, if they stuck with the old system people would've complained that nothing new was happening. Resident Evil 5 was their highest selling RE game yet, so their not going back to the old style. So you either embrace the new games or fuck of back to RE2!!

I do really miss the terror of the old games but I'm not going to lie that this is actually intriguing me. I've always wondered about some of the events, and I also like that they are going back to the raccoon city outbreak.
@jacktrippa16 no only 4. but you get 6 people to chose from. every character has a special perk it gives to the team. if a team of for friends didnt have pick a cetain person they might not have a minimap. stuff like that. that way it is a TEAM game
This isn't scary at all. Seems like the more RE's that come out the less scary they get. Same for every other horror game coming out, not as scary as the genre used to be. They don't even bother building a scary atmosphere or making you scared of the creatures/etc at all.
@gsus7125 The whole idea of this, is to make a game thats more action based then past resident evils, you have to be able to move faster to fight off the zombie horde. The zombie horde itself would be frightening to face off against if you have no where to run. And there are also moments in this game where there will be "Scary" moments. Plus remember this game isn't finished yet either.
@gsus7125 i know what you mean, these games are practically like gears of war or something, no scares, its just all action. In the older RES games the creatures were frightening the first time through. You had no idea what to expect, and just that feel of your heart pumping as your fleeing an enemy really gave me a thrill.
@gsus7125 of course this game isn't going to be scary then the others, because you play as one of umbrella corp guys, you know about the infection, your just sent to kill any survivors. its not so much intended as part of the story. but i think it will still have its moments of giving scare. you have only just seen one part you cant judge yet.

@Xury64 Even if my theory about the bandage in RE DC are wrong, he still gets wounded in the story, during the time period in which RE2 took place, and since this game takes place between RE2 and RE3, this is where he gets wounded, from the people you play as ( at least in the video). Besides, it doesn't make since for Leon to die in the time period ( RE2- RE3) if he's alive during RE4, and the story goes in chronicle order of the # after the title RE. ( RE Zero, RE, RE2, RE CV, RE3, RE4, RE5,)
Ok guys don't worry about killing your fav characters because in this game you can choose wether you want to kill them or not. So for all you diehard RE fans like myself who like the characters too much, you have the option to not kill them and keep the story how it is suppose to be.
Everyone calm down. This is just a action version or Socom version of RE. For those of you who like the old RE games, you'll have to wait for Resident Evil 6, which is to be "brutally scary" and is believed to be worked on right now. I think that this is a way for fans to enjoy playing with their favorite RE characters as teams and what not, until the next chapter in the story arrives.

@jacktrippa16 no only 4. but you get 6 people to chose from. every character has a special perk it gives to the team. if a team of for friends didnt have pick a cetain person they might not have a minimap. stuff like that. that way it is a TEAM game

This isn't scary at all. Seems like the more RE's that come out the less scary they get. Same for every other horror game coming out, not as scary as the genre used to be. They don't even bother building a scary atmosphere or making you scared of the creatures/etc at all.

@gsus7125 The whole idea of this, is to make a game thats more action based then past resident evils, you have to be able to move faster to fight off the zombie horde. The zombie horde itself would be frightening to face off against if you have no where to run. And there are also moments in this game where there will be "Scary" moments. Plus remember this game isn't finished yet either.

@gsus7125 i know what you mean, these games are practically like gears of war or something, no scares, its just all action. In the older RES games the creatures were frightening the first time through. You had no idea what to expect, and just that feel of your heart pumping as your fleeing an enemy really gave me a thrill.

@gsus7125 of course this game isn't going to be scary then the others, because you play as one of umbrella corp guys, you know about the infection, your just sent to kill any survivors. its not so much intended as part of the story. but i think it will still have its moments of giving scare. you have only just seen one part you cant judge yet.

It was scary when i was a kid when i played it but other then that its just not a scary game and i don't think that's what they are aiming for... Maybe a couple spots in the game might make you jump but other then that what else do you need?

@Scr3amxAimxFire Dude if you dont know Resident evil IS a survival HORROR game theres not that much horror happning in this game or any of the recent RE games and the thats what made RE 1 2 3 etc good cause it was survival horror and thats what they should stick to, and where are the puzzles? where is the challenge in the game? Example in RE5 you kill a zombie you get bullets in RE2 you had to find bulllets or you whould likely die

This looks like a good game but not like traditional Resident Evil games, if you don't like it then wait for Resident Evil 6 and quit complaining... and if you want scary play Amnesia Dark Descent a game that is really aiming to be scary...

Man, no suspense? They they just drop you right into the action. It kinda takes the horror aspect out of it. Still looks better than RE5 though. BTW, does any one know if you can play as Leon or Claire at all (like outside of the main story or something)?

@aguynamedg3orge The reason it changes is because umbrella learns how to control the T-Virus. What do you think all the tyrant projects were? It is just the evolution of a series!!! I love the old zombies too just had a great classic feel to it but I accept the facts and move on. I believe this is a big step up for Capcom and the RE series..

@Xury64 Even if my theory about the bandage in RE DC are wrong, he still gets wounded in the story, during the time period in which RE2 took place, and since this game takes place between RE2 and RE3, this is where he gets wounded, from the people you play as ( at least in the video). Besides, it doesn't make since for Leon to die in the time period ( RE2- RE3) if he's alive during RE4, and the story goes in chronicle order of the # after the title RE. ( RE Zero, RE, RE2, RE CV, RE3, RE4, RE5,)

Ok guys don't worry about killing your fav characters because in this game you can choose wether you want to kill them or not. So for all you diehard RE fans like myself who like the characters too much, you have the option to not kill them and keep the story how it is suppose to be.

Everyone calm down. This is just a action version or Socom version of RE. For those of you who like the old RE games, you'll have to wait for Resident Evil 6, which is to be "brutally scary" and is believed to be worked on right now. I think that this is a way for fans to enjoy playing with their favorite RE characters as teams and what not, until the next chapter in the story arrives.
