@bagruen If it wasnt for Sr NASCAR wouldnt be big. He did stuff others couldnt. It takes skill to bump people. I race and it is actully pretty hard. You really have to hit them right to where it just slows them down. Sr is 100% better than most drivers today. The only driver close is Kryle busch.
@saintsrulz LOL Kyle Busch the guy who is the drizzling shits who will never win a championship meanwhile ole 5 time in a row is about to become 6 time ? :D
@mywotzone Kyle sucks. He only wins a ton in the beginning of the year because drivers are going for steady finishes. Than they go for wins every week in the chase and he cant handle it. Jimmie has a HUGE chance of winning it again.
GOOD NEWS SPORTS FANS! Earnhardt and Hamilton are both dead, so you don't have to worry about it anymore, you can all stop arguing and go back to your modern day, no touching, no bumping, slow the cars down racing that you seem to enjoy today.
If Kyle Busch did this, everybody would be all mad saying how Busch is a dirty driver and how he should be penalized. What is different from what Earnhardt did here and the other times than from what Kyle Busch does now?
@NascarMicci The fact that Earnhardt would bump you 2 or 3 times before he ever shoved you out of the way is the difference. He gave them a warning that if they didn't move he would make them move.
And another thing. Nobody ever intimidated Bobby Hamilton. Nobody intimidated him when he was a short track driver, nobody intimidated him when he was a Winston Cup driver, and that goddamn cancer SURE never intimidated him right to the end. He was one of the toughest son of a guns who ever lived.
@HomeDepot20TS Dale Sr. intimidated everybody cuz he would back it up. if intimidation didnt work he'd knonk em into the wall so the other drivers were scared of him. and Dale Earnhard was and is alot tougher than Hamilton

@4everafanDaleSr Triva question for you: Who got Richard his first win? It wasn't God's gift to, well, according to the Earnhardt fans, God himself.
I'll admit as soon as anyone he was a great driver but his fans make me want to vomit. He really is overrated because, as good as he was, everyone wants to act like he was Jesus Christ on wheels and could do no wrong and was incapable of error.
@HomeDepot20TS Answer to your trivia question it was Ricky Rudd in '83 I know Earnhardt wasnt RCR's first driver what i meant was when Dale joined in '84 (he was also Richards driver for part of the '81 season) the team really took off thats what i meant when i said they started it, and ill admit Earnhardt did make errors in his career but who hasnt and i havent ever heard anybody say he was Jesus on wheels its against my religion to say anything like that. Merry Christmas
This is why I had no respect for Earnhardt. Hamilton passed him and was about to sail off into the sunset. So Earnhardt did what he did best and wrecked him. Unlike other drivers, he had full Nascar protection to do whatever he wanted.
@TyVulpine, it's "am I right" since you want to hold a spelling and grammar contest. Nice deflection from the topic since you have no argument for Earnhardt putting Hamilton in the wall and ruining his race. It only reinforces my point about E fans always looking the other way when Earnhardt does something bush league on the track.
@jwdogfst As I thought, it's "I'm right and anyone that disagrees is automatically wrong!".. How many other drivers do that shit and nobody bats an eye. More often that not, E raced cleanly. Everyone flips the moment he makes a mistake and acts like he "always" does it.
Swapping paint, rubbin fenders is racing.....hitting someone from behind and almost, if not wrecking them completely isn't.....nor does it take talent. Dale was a very talented guy, and didn't need to race people like what he did in the video.....why not just wait till the end of the straightaway and drive under Bobby? I honestly think Dale got a kick out of wrecking people, and racing them clean bored him.
@pettymike45 ....that has to be the most ridiculous thing I've read on youtube. Carl Edwards WRECKED someone today. Nudging someone, which is what happened here, IS racing. I can't help you if you can't understand what it means to win.
I've always said, rubbin' is racin'! They ain't nothing wrong with swapping paint and stuff, thats what racing is about and Dale took that to the max! R.I.P. Dale.
that racing. I agree with you Johnny5liter, there are a bunch of sissy crybabies racing today. They like to talk tough in front of a camera, but that's about it. I miss the OLD Nascar
maybe you oughta watch the 2000 daytona 500 post-race interview w/ earnhardt crying after Fords ate his lunch. or what about when Mayfield schooled him at pocono ... gee, guess earnhardt didnt whine then either, huh?
Gordon 4 time champ, Dale 7 time champ. Gordon had money to start with, Dale had to make his own money. Whos the better man. I like Jeff dont get me wrong but Dale was and will forever be, The Man In Black
The funny thing is, neither of you seem to understand racing and how it has become more competitive throughout the years, thus making more and more difficult to win a championship in NASCAR's modern era...
@DFDSFUEIFH congrats on still having 3 less ... and taking in account that earnhardt took 15 seasons to win 7 and gordon is in his 18th season ... well yeah i'm pretty sure even you can see who's better and dont give me that is the chase didnt exist " BS it does exist and gordon still has 4 if anything its easier for him to win with the chase all he has to do is be good for 10 races lol
Earnhardt did the same thing to Sterling Marlin at Bristol and Alan Kulwicki at Pocono in the same year! They both deserved to get their first wins in 1987, but Earnhardt got away with so much dirty driving that year it turned my stomach. Any wonder why when he crashed that half the crowd would erupt in cheers?
While I agree, it still is not intimidating. Intimidating is making the person nervous enough to mess up. Hamilton never got loose, Dale just bumped him.
fail earnhardt sr......i meant dale . r.i.p. , adios , sianora , goodbye. dale earnhardt really quit nascar to pursue a career in the worm food and fertilizing business. i'm also in negitiations with childress about buying his wrecked daytona car so i can put it to good use and make a public urinal out of it . uh oooh , i think i can hear the crybaby earnhardt fans wetting their huggies.
@crbassassin get out of here you dont know real racing if youre saying that. Let me guess youre a jimmie johnson fan, probably in your lower 20's or younger, and have never raced in your life.
Well for being the best car, that number 3 car sure did run him down in the corner. Caught, tapped and passed. Happened all the time in NASCAR back in the old days and not just by the guy driving the 3 car either. Anyone who isn't a NOOB to the sport would know this.
I remember this race very well, because being a 43 fan it looked like the 43 might finaly win a race after many years. The 3 knew that the 43 had the best car and just flat took him out. Of course DE said it was an accident, yeah right.
Who wants to bet that most of the people that are dogging Earnhardt actually like the racing of today? Lmao, Earnhardt was racing at it's best. Wether you hate him or love him you still need to respect him because he respected everyone, and nobody reply saying "If he respected people then why did he spin them out?" Well here is one answer.... He spun his own son one time and he respected him alot for a kid.
Respect? Earnhardt had the biggest ego in the world, and is the most overrated driver ever. If I ever give Earnhardt credit for something, it will be for being the best at being an asshole. No class whatsoever, and showed no respect to anyone on the track, because he was Dale Earnhardt.
Dale Earnhardt had respect for every single driver at the track. But you had to earn that respect, no class whatsoever? My ass he had no class he did many many things off camera that were very classy. He helped Kyle Petty found the victory junction gang and btw racing isn't a popularity contest, and Dale was far from an ass hole he would stop and talk to you at the track even when he wasin the middle of doing something.
But you wouldn't know that your probably just an ignorant little puke.
Heh, shows how brainwashed you are by all these Dale Earnhardt ass kiss shows. He is SUCH a great guy, but if you read between the lines he isn't what he really is made out to be. My parents told me a story about how Dale Earnhardt fans were calling him over to give them autographs, and he scowled at them and walked off. With that being said, I am nearly an adult, so in your eyes I may be a puke, but I clearly am a better judge of character than you. Thank you for your time :)
Didn't say he was a horrible driver, just saying he is overrated. People call Earnhardt a god, when in fact he was just an aggressive race car driver who wrecked to win.
I want you to go down the line and name me every race he won. Guarantee you in 5-10 percent of them he didn't wreck someone to win. He was just awesome. He had to be running good to tap for the win anyway... lol
Wrecked to win my ass, he didn't wreck them he tapped them. He barely had to even touch most of them to move them out of the way.
If he is such a bad drive then why do all of the Nascar legends like Petty, the Allison's, Ottinger, the late Benny Parsons etc. talk about him being so talented? He won those races because he was talented not because he wrecked people, "David Pearson was far better" He raced in a completely different time retard. Back then only 4 or 5 people were competitive.
great points by 4Tracer. Out of his 76 wins he may have tapped someone out of the way five times. So that is definitely not most. Another thing, he had to be running pretty good to even tap someone out of the way for the win... ever think of that?
I wasn't gonna post a reply on this video, since most of the comments aren't worth reading, never mind a response... But about Earnhardt knocking others out of the way... I respected him a lot, but at times (like this race at Rockingham and Bristol in '99) I would hate his guts. That said, he was far from the only one to do this. It was just the old-time short track style he grew up with...and it got him in trouble a few times (See: Richmond, 1986)
For Earnhardt at his worst, check out the 1987 season. A cheap win at Pocono, Charlotte and Bristol. There might have been another that I've forgotten, but I don't have them all on tape. He really started to get a "rep" as a dirty driver in 1987.
Karma is a bitch. Live by the bumper, die by the bumper, literally.

While I agree, it still is not intimidating. Intimidating is making the person nervous enough to mess up. Hamilton never got loose, Dale just bumped him.

@me6179799 I think that's why intimidates was in quotes

fail earnhardt sr......i meant dale . r.i.p. , adios , sianora , goodbye. dale earnhardt really quit nascar to pursue a career in the worm food and fertilizing business. i'm also in negitiations with childress about buying his wrecked daytona car so i can put it to good use and make a public urinal out of it . uh oooh , i think i can hear the crybaby earnhardt fans wetting their huggies.

kidd1023 3 years ago
@crbassassin what do you mean 7 "Hollow" Championships?
nascar3003 1 year ago
@nascar3003 he couldnt win races without wrecking a competitor, and nascar always made calls that are favorable to him

@crbassassin Just like they do for Felon Motor Sports?

@crbassassin get out of here you dont know real racing if youre saying that. Let me guess youre a jimmie johnson fan, probably in your lower 20's or younger, and have never raced in your life.

Well for being the best car, that number 3 car sure did run him down in the corner. Caught, tapped and passed. Happened all the time in NASCAR back in the old days and not just by the guy driving the 3 car either. Anyone who isn't a NOOB to the sport would know this.

Sorry. That all sounded very intelligent, but this isn't really a sport.

I remember this race very well, because being a 43 fan it looked like the 43 might finaly win a race after many years. The 3 knew that the 43 had the best car and just flat took him out. Of course DE said it was an accident, yeah right.
benpetty4345 3 years ago 3
They all say that, be it Earnhardt, or anyone else.
PYLrulz1984 3 years ago
Who wants to bet that most of the people that are dogging Earnhardt actually like the racing of today? Lmao, Earnhardt was racing at it's best. Wether you hate him or love him you still need to respect him because he respected everyone, and nobody reply saying "If he respected people then why did he spin them out?" Well here is one answer.... He spun his own son one time and he respected him alot for a kid.
4Tracer 3 years ago
Respect? Earnhardt had the biggest ego in the world, and is the most overrated driver ever. If I ever give Earnhardt credit for something, it will be for being the best at being an asshole. No class whatsoever, and showed no respect to anyone on the track, because he was Dale Earnhardt.
racerboy1245 3 years ago 4
Dale Earnhardt had respect for every single driver at the track. But you had to earn that respect, no class whatsoever? My ass he had no class he did many many things off camera that were very classy. He helped Kyle Petty found the victory junction gang and btw racing isn't a popularity contest, and Dale was far from an ass hole he would stop and talk to you at the track even when he wasin the middle of doing something.
But you wouldn't know that your probably just an ignorant little puke.
4Tracer 3 years ago
Heh, shows how brainwashed you are by all these Dale Earnhardt ass kiss shows. He is SUCH a great guy, but if you read between the lines he isn't what he really is made out to be. My parents told me a story about how Dale Earnhardt fans were calling him over to give them autographs, and he scowled at them and walked off. With that being said, I am nearly an adult, so in your eyes I may be a puke, but I clearly am a better judge of character than you. Thank you for your time :)

Overrated?!?
76 Wins, 7 titles, and he is overrated?!?
Yeah, ok.
STFU Fucktard
PYLrulz1984 3 years ago
Didn't say he was a horrible driver, just saying he is overrated. People call Earnhardt a god, when in fact he was just an aggressive race car driver who wrecked to win.
racerboy1245 3 years ago 2
I want you to go down the line and name me every race he won. Guarantee you in 5-10 percent of them he didn't wreck someone to win. He was just awesome. He had to be running good to tap for the win anyway... lol
Banger82 3 years ago
Earnhardt's = OVERRATTED
wreck them to win yeah that's talent.
David Pearson was far better
110 wins and won 3 titles in the only 3 full time schedule's he ran!.
331sbf 3 years ago
Wrecked to win my ass, he didn't wreck them he tapped them. He barely had to even touch most of them to move them out of the way.
If he is such a bad drive then why do all of the Nascar legends like Petty, the Allison's, Ottinger, the late Benny Parsons etc. talk about him being so talented? He won those races because he was talented not because he wrecked people, "David Pearson was far better" He raced in a completely different time retard. Back then only 4 or 5 people were competitive.
4Tracer 3 years ago
great points by 4Tracer. Out of his 76 wins he may have tapped someone out of the way five times. So that is definitely not most. Another thing, he had to be running pretty good to even tap someone out of the way for the win... ever think of that?
Banger82 3 years ago
@Banger82 BEST COMMENT!!!! i wish people would be more intelligent and not just media based biased idiots..
SlayerPayback 1 year ago
David also ran a lot more races during his prime too. They used to race 50 times a year.
Banger82 3 years ago
@331sbf every one has their way to race.
derick4767 8 months ago
I wasn't gonna post a reply on this video, since most of the comments aren't worth reading, never mind a response... But about Earnhardt knocking others out of the way... I respected him a lot, but at times (like this race at Rockingham and Bristol in '99) I would hate his guts. That said, he was far from the only one to do this. It was just the old-time short track style he grew up with...and it got him in trouble a few times (See: Richmond, 1986)
BSNFabricating 2 years ago
For Earnhardt at his worst, check out the 1987 season. A cheap win at Pocono, Charlotte and Bristol. There might have been another that I've forgotten, but I don't have them all on tape. He really started to get a "rep" as a dirty driver in 1987.
