@TheScorpionMK37 I had to go the reproduction cart route. Someone made me a cart with clamshell, original artwork (including a nice Genesis logo on the side of the front cover), and a manual. The guy also fixed the save issue with the PAL version, game runs correct speed on a US Genesis too, plus Wily Tower is accessible once you finish all 3 games. Ran me about $60 though, it may not quite be an original copy, but it plays and that's all that counts.
How is it terrible? It's just the first three megaman games. I guess all the dislike for MM7 I can at least figure out, even if I don't at all share it myself. But this just strikes me as bashing it because the graphics are to pretty. (Which I wouldn't put past MM fans unfortunately.)
@DeathStar17101999 just slightly, but only cuz this version is abit slower, but i think this version seems more balanced to me, cuz they yellow devils eye stays almost the same place everytime, unlike the nes where it can be too high and impossible to hit with the buster, so yeah i like this guy in wily wars more, the other diffrence is he close the eye faster in wily wars!
@mcrobsesser003 Nothing can beat the originals, but I loved this compilation. Had to emulate it though, since Sega decided to only release it through the frickin' Sega Channel here. :\
It's the remake of Mega Man for Mega Man: The Wily Wars for the Sega Genesis. It included remakes of the first three Mega Man games, and a short extra game called Wily Tower.
the yellow devil from megaman powered up is much more harder, since you can see which piece of him is moving (unlike this one where you can see which part is about to move
@Bleumange What does Half-Life 2 have to do with *ANYTHING* in regards to Megaman?
At that point, I might as well say that any Star Ocean soundtrack or anything done by Motoi Sakuraba is the best thing to happen to video games, bu it still has nothing to do with this particular soundtrack, which is a timeless classic. o.O
I think this version looks easier, the problem the Yellow Devil had for me was the constant pattern thinking which used to drive me mad, when the third/fourth run kicked in I was already dizzy. In this you don't have to necessarily memorize the pattern, you just look what's coming and dodge, even with the pieces closer together it's all skill.
To me this looks actually slightly harder than the NES version, since the blocks while moving slower also seem to form a more dense pattern when moving across the screen. It seems like there is less space between them making it harder to jump through the gaps and not hit any of the blocks.
That being said, I don't consider the NES version of this boss hard, and this version don't look too much harder than that.
as a mega man player, the genesis version is a low down version because ppl who play Sega was complaining, so they did a remake of it on Sega, which shows this pieces of shit here.
yellow devil was all ways the hardest since alot of times you had to pretty much watch and wait for his pattern of movement since alot of times all he does is move between to sides of the room and since alot of people tend to have no patiences of fighting him and get killed alot but all and all he all ways goin to be remembered being a tough nerve rakin boss to beat
In the NES version (especially the NTSC version which runs 17% faster than the PAL version) this dude is ridiculously hard to dodge since the blocks move at a really hectic pace. There was a really cheap way around it (AKA "The pause trick") but if you refrained from using it this bugger was really hard to beat, especially with just the buster.
I'd rank him as possibly the hardest boss -ever- in any Mega/Rockman game. (Him and the clones MM/RM 1)
Capcom made it, not Sega. For some reason Capcom makes epic music, but fails at remixing it. Listen to Sonic 2 Chemical Plant Zone, or the JP/EU Sonic CD soundtrack and tell me Sega fails at music again.
Ahhhh. the music is TERRIBLE! The original one is MUCH better. It sounds like it was played by a chinese man with no teeth who smokes grass at the same time... O_O
Dont know whats with all the thumbs down here, I agree with this guy. He's not dissing the tune, he's dissing the horrible use of the SNES blips and beeps.
idk which version u are playing but if it is the European version there really is a slowdown cause european games are running at 50 FPS while American ones are 60 FPS , i downloaded the rom for this game and noticed the difference especially in all the songs, but the emulator lets you speed it up to american speeds and its much more like the NES ones then.
