Freddie may have been very reticent about giving interviews or details about his personal life, but his lyrics made everything pretty obvious. I wasn't the world's most sophisticated college kid, but I knew exactly what "Killer Queen" was about the very first time I heard it. Like most of Freddie's straight fans, I didn't care. He had a beautiful voice and a rare gift for songwriting.
