I am from a country called Bulgaria in eastern Europe and I am looking at a 93 bird with the 5.0 in it.Can you tell me what I should be looking for - body engine technically and mechanically.Also , if I get it I am looking to change the automatic with a stick shift-what do I have to buy on the side to make it a stick shift? Ditching the Pro-chamber will make it sound MUCH better...my '88 has mustang shorties and glass-packs(no cats)...with the Pro-Chamber, it resonated like hell inside and was rediculously quiet outside(close to stock)...just putting an H-pipe on it really made it sound a hell of a lot better.

ive owned two 5.0 h.o's and they sounded alot sronger than that,are you sure it isnt the standard 5.0?they look quite simular.not trying to be rude.

Hey, I've got to say thats one great sounding tbird, I've got a question, I have an identical 88 tbird with a stock 5.0 all original, all options, I was wondering if you could put a stock pair of mustang manifolds on the car without modding the exhaust? and i want to ask what size exhaust you have on the car(2.25, 2.50?) because mine has an orinal dual exhaust on it and im looking for a cheap performance upgrade?

Mustang manifolds will fit the stock 5.0 engine, no problem. You will need either a factory H-pipe from a 5.0 mustang or an aftermarket H or X pipe and a cat-back exhaust for a 5.0 mustang. You will have to lengthen the pipes before the muffler and lengthen the tailpipes to fit the Bird. Mine is a 2.5" system for a 87-93 Mustang GT that I modified.

By "roller" I mean the engine has roller lifters. The engine is from a 91 Lincoln Mark VII.

i got one its an 86 with a stock 5.0 i got a 4-speed in mine the cars alright. But i like the newer models alot better i had a 91 with a 5.0 ho and that fucker was somethin else

Yes..it's a 5.0L HO with roller cam. Bored 0.030 over with Forged pistons. The car originally had a 3.8L V6
