This video was awesome!! Randy Mantooth and Kevin Tighe both were obviously real actors but prior to shooting Emergency both did indeed went to Paramedic School and completed the training.
thank u for putting on here cause i could not travel and missed it i really wanted to go cause im a huge fan of randy and emergency i was ill that day so thank u so much for sharing this with us fansssssssssssss
@Cgatto01 No. However, there were two members of the cast who WERE real Firefighters. Mike Stoker, the Engineer for Station 51 for the entire run of the show post pilot was a real LACoFD Engineer, and retired in 1996 with the rank of Captain. In addition, Dick Hammer, the Captain of Station 51 for the first season was a LACoFD Fire Captain. He left the show after the first season to return full time to firefighting. He passed away in 1999.
Thank you for posting this, I was too far back in the crowd to see or hear clearly. The day was wonderful and being able to meet all of the people influenced by Emergency!
He is so funny! I am going to try and go hear him give a speech in the near future!
